This was a solid piece of work. I didn't love it, but I really liked it.

This is my favourite module to date. The underwater location is well done and a bit different but, more important, the plot is clever and quickly involving. I particularly like the characterisation and the clever, witty dialogue. A definite contender!

Great job with the module, that was a lot of fun to play.

Good looking. Good writing. Liked story and characters. Three decent endings. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Almost perfect module. I wish there was a way to tell your mistress in advance about the witch's proposal, but the word limits might explain this issue. The repetition of dialog options if you were not following the scenario as expected by its author was a bit annoying.

This is a fun module with distinct characters, and a nice variety of options. There are a few minor conversation glitches that should be cleaned up, but overall it has a nice design and a nice presentation. Plus, it pulls you right into the story with an engaging and bubbly opening dialog.

Why does this module get so little attention? It deserves better then the six votes it has so far! It could end in the contest top 5, if it only got noticed...

Very nice! You managed to actually make an entertaining story within the limited frame of the contest! I have a few quibbles though. First, there are some anachronisms in the story: colloquial language, references to presentday figures - maybe some people find it funny, but I just find it distracting and somewhat puerile. Second, there were too little choices in conversation: too often I really did not want to say any of the things I could choose from. But all and all: excellent job!

8.75 THE REALM BELOW: (93RD TESTED MODULE) My intention is to give feedback on both the writing (competition) and design (not necessarily competition) for every module I have the chance to play. NB: Judging any material is always subject to personal taste. I have tried hard to be as objective as possible and apologise if I have appeared harsh in any of my scores. Also remember this is only my opinion; Bioware?s is the one that counts! WRITING: I thought this was a great little side quest. The writing was tight and easy to read and the whole experience was fun and serious at the same time. There were one or two phrases that I would have liked worded slightly differently (?coz?), but they were minor. DESIGN: An underwater setting with great atmosphere. I thought the appearance of the undead skull was well done. FINAL: This is my favourite module to date. It scored highly on many of the areas I was looking for, with only one or two quibbles. MY SCORE SYSTEM (IMHO): 5 Not up with the competition. 5 - 6 Average. 7 - 8 Above average. > 8 An exceptional piece SCORING FACTORS (IN ORDER OF MY PRIORITIES): GRAB FACTOR: How quickly am I involved in the action? Do I have direction? PLOT: Is the story engaging? Is subject interesting? Varied conversation choices? CHARACTERS: Are they easily identifiable? Are they rounded/memorable? SPELLING GRAMMAR: Is the text easy to read? Are there quite a few errors? OTHER FACTORS (MINOR INFLUENCE): Design for atmosphere scenery, including sounds props. Quality of module stability; does it break easily? _________________________ World of Althéa Blog: Link
