Description
"The citizens of Eshpurta, a city inside the nation of Amn, are terrified of the possible threat which seems to be aimed at them from the north. Caravans have been ambushed at the main road towards Esmeltaran. Innocent travellers have been found dead, or worse. All these point towards an increased bandit activity of sorts in the region.
However the source has been discovered now, the ancient forest known as The Snake Wood hold a stronghold for these malicious and the government of Eshpurta is looking for suitable people to end this terror and bring down who ever seems to have taken control of the Castle Alrac.
In the shadows however, far more dangerous happenings are taking place..
Can you stop them?
Or will you fall under the shadow among the others.."
Some of the features:
---------------------
-The World is immensivly beautiful, since it is "hand talored" just about every corner of it. I put really effort to make it "look good"
-Your Actions, what you say or do around, will affect your character and your surroundings.
-Items are all new to be found, nothing is original form nwn in the rawest form. Handtalored. This means using custom content and by the creation of unique items.
-Opponents are all new, nothing is directly original from nwn, or if it is then it has new look brought by the community and fighting styles.
-NPCs, Joinable NPC as you find them in your journay, using enchanted NPC scripting from NWVault.
-Music, there will be NO standard music from nwn in the game. EVERY area has a new music for BOTH ambient and then for battle. so it would look and sound good :)
-Loadscreens, Every single one is picked by me to suit the area with thought from the Vaults offerings. Eye candy.
-Quests, there will be plenty quests out there in the module, over dozen sidequests which you can do or leave be as you focus to save the land from the crime lord. Of course sidequests offer their own boon and view..
Read the readme file for more information and have fun!
And please, let me know what you think of it, for good and bad im open for making some changes should you folks out there point them to me :)

Quick info about installation:
(get the following..)
-Triangles of Fate - Chapter 1.rar
(module and readme file)
-ToF_Base.rar
(Main hak file, unrar into hak folder)
-ToF_LoadScreens.rar
(Secondary hak file, unrar into hak folder)
-ToF_Music.part1.rar
(its a continous rar file, you need..)
-ToF_Music.part2.rar
(..file to unpack the whole music hak file, the reason its in two parts is cause the FTP server rejected it as one big file, so i splitted the hak into two rars, unrar them to hak folder to get the one hak..)
(this is ONE file packed within TWO rars, open first and rar will automatically proceed unpacking the second, you dont need to do anything with the part2 rar does it for you.)

A warrior deep within the swamps of the Snake Wood.
Inn of the Sunlit Dawn, the last stopping point for tired travellers before the outskirts of Snake Wood begin..
An adventurer ambushes a group of camping orcs.
Interior of a housing within the Snake Wood.
The yard of the arcane guild within the merchant city of Eshpurta. (fog removed in the game, old screenshot)
Vile happenings deep within the Snake Wood.
Adventurer gets to see himself the cruel outcome of the bandits rampage, however there seemed to be something else looking for anything to scavenge as well..
Found it , read it, and finished the quest. There are few problems with this module: all ancounters in the beginning are too difficult for the first level character. Also, henchwomen... Due to the NWN wizards and sorcessors are almost useless. Sorceessor cuold not use her magic when she was equipt with the ranged weapon. Alan, on the other hand, though very useful, could not level up higher that 7th level.

Yes, none of the quests are class related directly, so you can do the mage guild quest without being a mage. **SPOILER** There is a book within the first floor of the mage guild which guides you how to use the "orange shaft light with an elemental" room to access the other floors of the tower :)

Is there a way to do the Mage guild quest if you are not a spellcaster? I have killed those two demons on the first floor. There is a shaft of orange light in one small room with an elemental, but I have no interaction with it. All I can do is to go out of the tower.

jhmssa: The music packs dont have the same content, please read the module description :) The codi swamp hak isnt missing, please read the module description :) I cant make one hak for them all: the reason it would be far too big to upload here, there is an upload limit.. Hope these clear things up! :)

Hello. Seems you got a problem when you updated the vault. ToF_Music_part1 and ToF_Music_part2 have the same content and codi_ddswamp.hak is missing. PS : Do you know you can do only one hak of all them. That would avoid this kind of error and make the game easy to install. :-)

Okay - thanks! When I play this, I'll pick a character such that can be easily reproduced in NWN2. : ) Cheers, Lariam _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

Because of the coming of nwn2 i might just as well continue the sequel within it. But i have the plot for all of this written in a paper for many years, so the point is that the plot will be continous of course and the character from part 1 will be in a way or another be playable in part 2. But my current problem is that im still working nightshift, meaning i have very little spare time. Im still working on the update for this - I will have a small summer brake in about a week and a half, then i will have a chance to finish that.

Will the sequel - if there'll be one some day - be such that it should be played with the character from this one? (By the way, if you'll do the sequel for NWN2, that'd mean making a character in NWN2 that would closely approximate the one used in this module, as the characters cannot be imported and a new set of rules is being used.) Or will the potential sequel be stand-alone in the sense that it can be played with a new character? Of course, almost anything *can* be played with a new character. But I'm extremely picky with regard to these sorts of things. So, perhaps the question is rather: shall the sequel make just as much sense with a new character as it shall make sense with one from this module? I'm just trying to decide what sort of character to use for this one... Whether I'll have to put her/him on hold for the sequel after the module, or not... This mod has some good things, but is lacking in others. In the end it's a fun mod, well deserving my bandwidth and time. Pros: - Very customized, everything seems new. - The music is impressive (even if I'd already listened to it in another, Planescape-based mod ;)) - Visuals well placed, CEP and other haks well used, without forcing them. - Very detailed, every object has a story, and NPCs have descriptions. Cons: - Having a sorcerer companion is usually a bad idea. The AI is atrocious. What's worse, it's broken. If I tell her to use ranged attacks, she doesn't cast spells at all. I found that keeping her alive was too much difficult. - There is a completely lack of hench interaction. You just change her tactics. She's just cannon fodder. - It's mostly linear. - You describe it as Heavy roleplaying, but I don't see where it is. You have two or three dialogue options sometimes, which are only "style" answers (there is no difference in choosing one or the other in the end). And that's it. The mod are quite difficult, but I like difficult fights. Sometimes I felt they were too much, but I didn't have a munchkin character in this one. BTW, there is a way to earn infinite money at the start of the mod: **SPOILER** Buy light jewels, buy simple clothes, add light effect to clothes, sell clothes. Repeat. **END SPOILER** In the end, it's still a good mod. It's clear that the author has put a lot of effort into it. If you improve those cons in part 2 it can be superb. I'm looking forward to it.

Read this out people, It seems that the class "Rogue" isnt playable after all in the module, there will come an encounter that such class will not be able to overcome where others would. Ill start working on an updated version where ill fix some of the minor problems you people have pointed out to me, and ill look into this major rogue problem in the mentioned encounter. This update should be avaible before the week changes.
