Medieval Europe (but with lots of fantasy inside) This is the XIIIth century, but a XIIIth century where you can still find old Elven cities in the depths of ancient forests, or Dwarven kingdoms hidden in the northeastern part of Germany... The Holy Inquisition of the Catholic Church is hunting down magic users and a New World is about to born... But the forces of the Old World, with its magic and its legendary creatures, are still there...trying to survive.

Rather human for the historical taste, but you can play any race if you really want to...ONLY MALE CHARACTER though...(for inheritance coherance sake)

Description
FINAL RELEASE (2.05) of the 1st episode of the 'Bastard of Kosigan' series translated by GINNI SWANTON.
After the death of his father, Gregor of Kosigan, the Bastard of Kosigan (your character) has been exiled from his homeland by the Count of Kosigan, his uncle Borogar, who has always hated him. Hes become a mercenary adventurer, wandering from place to place. His travels eventually lead him to the principality of Germany and the city of Cologne, where he gets caught up in a web of intrigue and deceit involving the Holy Inquisition of the Catholic Church and a coven of local witches. He soon learns that the stakes are higher than he thought, that things arent always what they seem to be, and that choices arent necessarily black and white. The richness of the dialog provides for realistic role-playing for all alignments, and the choices your PC makes affect not only the outcome of this module, but also everything that happens throughout it.
Dont be afraidyoull enjoy it even if youre a fan of pure Dungeons & Dragons, or if you killed your History teacher out of hate when you were a child :)
This translation has taken a huge amount of work for Ginni (about 5 or 6 monthes, many hours a day)...
She and I ran into many bugs due to the inconsiderate actions of previous would-be-translators...
We hope you will understand the real difficulty of what has been done :)
THE MOVIES (the wonderful beginning and End credits made by the Baudrands Brother are here: Link )

Great Mod! Couldn´t stop playing until I completed all the translated parts this weekend. The story was well writen and there were lot of Roleplaying choices and consequences. Sadly, I still found a bunch of Bugs and had to reload/replay the Mod a few times to finish the game. But this is a free Mod so I won´t complain ;) I don´t think the developer will fix any Bugs for this old Mod, so I won´t list them here. But you should still save a lot and use different saves in this final version.^^

Just great! Terrific dialogs around a great story and excellent pace. Has been quite a while that a mod doesn't get me enthralled like that. Superb storyteller, thanks to Ginni we can enjoy that! I can only wonder what would be possible if we had Fabien writing the story/dialogs, Ghool for the S/VFX and area/monster design and Savant to put it all together... or better not... it's dangerous for my health ;P

Totally Epic. What an absolutely incredible change from the usual storyline. I absolutely loved this module, and in fact, couldn't stop playing it until I was finished the first installment. The story is gripping, the plot has enough twists and turns to keep you enthralled in the story, and the historical content is simply wonderful. I really can't say enough about this piece of work. WELL DONE! Looking forward to the next one.

I'd like to once again thank this incredible chapter in this series for introducing me to the hauntingly beautiful music of Enya :D One thing I want to know though is what is the music at the end of this mod in the tavern?

Enjoyed it enough to want to play the second in the series! On and to play part1 again as a different alignment! I like the idea of having different sides to choose from to side with! The Stannis bug is a pain though! The henchies could do with a bit more interactivity if Mod creators ever get around to doing an update as this Mod is actually worth it! Sticking to my notion of never giving out any 10s
