As you crest a hill on your noble warhorse, a bleak sight unfolds before you: Cormyr, the land of your birth, is scarred and ravaged by a creeping blight. Once-green fields lie brown and dead, and smoke rises from farms and village homesteads that have fallen ramshackle and decrepit.
You have returned to your home with intentions of aiding your family in rebuilding their lives from the ashes of wars past. Yet though peace seems to have finally returned to this troubled land, outlaws still lurk in the wilds and a strange silence has descended over the Hullack forest...a silence that warns of encroaching darkness.

need help. Started the Module with a horse stuck on my head and nothing I can find to get him off. Please help. very frustrating since I had to pay for this. Thanks.
has anyone got the 1.1 version I only got the 1.0 version just before the Premium modules got pulled so there is now way now for me to update my 1.0! _________________________ Modern PC gaming at an end - long live retro PC gaming!
So, I bought this a while ago, and I've been trying to download it again but the link above doesn't work. Neither do the links to purchasing premium modules on biowares site. What gives? Anyone know?
DLA is dormant (at least for the time being) and I'm afraid all of my tips seem to have perished with the site. I'll see if I can get hold of them and post them somewhere else...
This module is a premium module and is available from Bioware's own website. _________________________ Works of B G P Hughes: Link
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for such detailed feedback. You can find a load of spoilers on the dladventures.com site if you are still stuck with one or two of those quests. _________________________ Works of B G P Hughes: Link

Well ran through it again and finished as an LG half elf 1/12 rgr/clr on 93000xp and 96% to alignment checks. Played completely solo when I could. apart from 2 ocassions with summoned monsters.
Based on major enjoyment, the 1 from below and finding out more I have increased the vote.
Pushed Craft weapon skill to the limit, using fox's cunning a + 2 ring of clear thought and prayer. Based on this ,exorcising the ? and helping smithy with crafting, was able to make a very nasty great sword. If I had waited another half hour I would have had 3 damage for various elemental stones (and picked up more xp). Also using crystals with my CW on 27 I could craft them onto weapon so it was a permanent +3. Noticed with a vg CW skill working with smithy actually improved it's damage etc. Also steel is generally a bit better. Won both jousting events and speaking to everybody, a) to gain some info, in particular how some knights fought and b) picking up xp for charisma checks or use of persuade (bluff or intimidate), made jousting a bit easier, although still had to reload a few times.
Strange thing is that I used pgc character creator to check out my 2 character's xp total. The NE dwf rg/ftr/A appeared as the very large zeus chaarcter and my LG rgr/clr appeared as the witchlord?
Anyway the intention was to dual wield and use a dire mace, 2 bladed axe or sword but went with grt sword, although placed skill points on listen, spot and search. I had 0 skill points on discipline. The weapon was absolutely lethal. My first time down it was very hard, this time killed it in 2 blows.
Thank you once more for this I am so tempted to replay The Wanderer

Okay figured out what to do and finished as a Dwf 3/3/7 rg/ftr/As, on 82000xp, character was exported at end, 61% on alignment check (not good enough). The only module to my knowledge where you would gain xp for playing alignment. Forgot about that. Normally in most mods, you always receive more xp for doing the good thing. Have played 180 NWN mods I believe.
The jousting was a little difficult and would have to save and reload quite a lot. Even so was champ in jousting, melee and bashing dummy. Not so hot with bow and dart.
Use of some skills ie spot, listen, Dt, OL, search and intimidate were also very good and picked up a few xp for crafting (Mr Hughes's skill stones). Gold was limited which I enjoyed as I could not buy best equipment and scrolls were limited but grt magic weapon and holy sword came in handy for paladin. All automatic use of scrolls with my 5 in UMD.
Had some difficulty in some combats as we did not have magic weapons but that made it challenging. Played hardcore throughout .
Took Jonas along originally then Edgar Silverlake? Amazing thing is that I could not remember much of the game which made it even more enjoyable. Hence running through it again with a half elf rgr/clr emphasis on clr and playing LG instead of NE. Was tempted to run through as a wiz/ftr/aa but glad I did not as the best longbow I found/used was +1.
In the town was told about venturing into the dalelands by smithy but nothing appeared in travelling options?
Rumours of a bear? running around at night and you could purchase lycanthrope arrows/bolts never met one? Bear's den closed down but a map pin? Thought that was always a clue
Missed out on Mastoke? Satyr quest although I think unicorn horn may have something to do with that?
Anyway replaying again so more feedback, although it seems NWN and NWN2 is slowly fading away. Noticed limited modules in both, remeber I have been playing a long time.
It's a shame I think it was a mistake to release NWN2. Even though I really enjoy playing it. I am not an author, I have a few ideas but my imagination is not so hot and I do prefer playing.
Should have continued as NWN but upgraded it more. NWN2 it seems is a very powerful software tool. Possibly due to tilesets, more movie scenes (on many ocassions not absolutely necessary, the NWN text box in top left would be better, also gives the player to swap items to improve skills in conversations), more complications it has driven away many an author, with many an excellent idea of an epic (20+ hours and gaining 7+ levels)module. I wonder where verybody has gone to.
However I will stay faithful and loyal to NWN for as long as possible.
Even so thank you all

I liked this module very much. Nice story and atmosphere, awesome custom content and the writing was OK (haha...I'm lame, I know...). I didn't really understood the jousting thing but I somehow managed to "de-horse" my opponents almost every time in the first bout and so became champion twice.
A+ Quality module.
Spoiler
Was there any back-story about the Were-Creatures in the area with the white stag? Maybe People of the Black Blood or something? I heard some rumors about a giant bear killing people in the city at night, so I thought there might have been a side-quest I missed.

Merry Christmas to all on the team! Winning this mod was one of the years best highlights for me!

Just purchased and played this. The NPCs are wonderful (I liked Lord Hawklin in particular, he felt kinda like a surrogate father), the plot is mostly very good, and the visuals are simply outstanding (I stared in slack-jawed amazement on several occasions). Loved the jousting! Ultimately, although I found the ending a little puzzling and unsatisfying, this module represents a formidable achievement on behalf of DLA and Bioware. Congratulations to the team! _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset
Try asking on the DLA forums Link because I don't recall a workaround - but then it has always worked for me. _________________________ Works of B G P Hughes: Link
I made the mistake of importing a Paladin that was already Level 5 into the module. I too far into the game to want to start over, so can anyone tell me if there is a console command to add the "Summon Mount" Feat after the fact? I don't think it would count as cheating if I have got the feat coming in this module. Thanks in advance!
"I agree with ChrisH but will not be so kind with my vote for a module I had to pay for. After the tenth bug I quit this module. Once it had me wearing my opponents horse as a hat. Could not figure out how to get it off."
If you were experiencing "horsehat", it is overwhelmingly likely that your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for WCoC. They are significantly steeper than HotU and are noted on the download page for the module on the BioWare store.

I noticed this was in the updated module list... just wondering what was updated. The dates haven't changed. _________________________ Coen
