If you are having problems with the tlk file, run the CEP updater, and it should fix the problem. I'm not using any kind of special tlk, as I know nothing of creating them.

I had both henchmen with me all the time. It's certainly possible that it's something on my installation, but I have not had these types of issues with other mods. I will re-download at some point and try again.

@ shuurai: Odd. I have played many if not all of this series incarnations and don't have the issues you seem to have. Certainly in the beginning there were plenty of issues but none now. As for Grymmly's note about Henchmen. You DO need them, especially Janus, or yes you will have problems. But it seems, at least to me that you might (heavy on the "might") have issues with your install of NWN1, or at least this game. I would try to redownload the this game and erase the current files you have installed and then do a fresh install and restart the game.
