Description
"Know, O Prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars." - The Nemedian Chronicles.
Such half-legendary fragments are all that remain to tell of the Hyborian Age and its greatest hero, Conan. You can relive these tales as Conan, or as a hero of your own design, following your career from its beginning as a youth among the Aesir, to your eventual rise to claim the throne of Aquilonia, the most powerful Hyborian kingdom.
"Legions of the Dead" describes the first recorded exploits of the young Conan, when as a youth of sixteen summers he fled his home in Cimmeria to join with a band of Northern barbarians in the frigid land of Asgard. The original short story was written by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter, based of course on the collection of Conan stories by Robert E Howard. It pre-dates the more well-known "Tower of the Elephant" which is, taking the chronology of Conan's career, the first Howard story. The fact that "Legions" deals with a very inexperienced Conan, and the fact that the story is less well known, makes it a good start for a chronology.

This final version corrects some minor issues and includes a new 11 race Hyborian subrace system.
This is a very good mod! The best mod about Conan and a great soundtrack!

TreeDancer I had already downloaded it three times but did so again and it is not there. Here is what I get: a folder with 4 files, a hak file, a text document, a walk through, a hard disk camera movie. I am downloading the file that reads."The_Conan_Chronicles_1__Legions_of_the_Dead_v1.03.zip' I moved the hak to the hak folder. Then I went to my game and the mod is not there. I tried to down load another of Johns games and it was the same. DO you think something is wrong with my NWN Game?

Devila, the mod file should be in the The_Conan_Chronicles_1__Legions_of_the_Dead_v1.03.zip. The four files in it is: the mod (at the top), Walkthrough, Readme, and the hak. Maybe you should try to download the file again.

HELP!! I down loaded all files. 3 music, 1 text, 1 zip and no where to be found was a file named The Conan Chronicles 1 - Legions of the Dead.mod. Where is the mod file? Yes, I unzipped everything and put all into the right folder but I am still comming up short with no mod file. Am I doing something wrong or not looking in the right place to download the mod file. When I unzipped there was a walkthrough fil;e a music file a read me file and a hard disk movie file. I am stuck like chuck and need someone to reacah out and help me. I love John's mods and am itching to play this one. Thanks, Devila

Okay - great story, mod,layout -everything. I appreciate what you've done. SPOILER I am confused though, I completed part 1 and it ends with me being led away but when I open part 2 it begins with us trying to charge the castle with the Jarl alive, and I have no option to sneak in...what am I doing wrong? thanks!

Hey - I just started playing this, I really like it so far - I am stuck though, I see no stairs to go up or down anywhere. I followed the walkthrough part, so I could get on with the module, but to no avail... Could someone please specify where these stairs are? I have followed the secret door, looked in the big hall and dark corridors, nothing. Anyone? thanks!

love Conan. Been a Conan fan for the longest time. Played this module until I had to go on the rite of passage and kill the snow wolf, so I'm not giving it a rating at this time. 1 comment, I triggered a land slide and somehow got stuck on top of the pleateu.
