Three of us played this series multi-player and we enjoyed it a lot. Good hack and slash adventure.

I have a problem getting past Erik in the citadel. I have restarted the game numerous times and can't seem to make it past the jail. I was really enjoying the storyline of the entire series and am feeling quite frustrated that I can't finish the module. I am running CEP v. 2 Is that the problem?

I know this trilogy is a bit outdated but it's a hack and slash fest. Granted, it gives you the choice to use different paths along the way but it's mostly fighting till you reach your goal. Chapter 2 is my favorite. This one was a bit more predictable and less challenging.
I seldom had to drink a healing potion, I soloed it with a fighter, even my henchman was a bit useless. The only battle I can remember having a little bit more of a hard time was when I'd decided to kill the dragons and especially Klauth. The final battle with Wigo and the demon was relatively easy.
No interaction with my henchman. Even a few questions to learn more about her it would have been something. I chose Aribeth as my henchman and when she died the first time, the journal showed an error blank entry. That happened once more. Other than that, I can't think of something that went wrong. Again, I've found the music unfitting except maybe for Carmina Burana inside the Citadel.
But I can say that overall your effort deserves credit. You started something and you finished it, giving us players the chance to enjoy an epic trilogy :)
As comment below I am finding it a breeze completely solo and in very difficult mode (Weaponmaster, should be banned). However have met Erik and the game keeps crashing. Anyway sent error report to Microsoft and shall wait to see what happens

A good conclusion to the series. It would have gotten a higher score except that story kind of fizzles out and the encounters weren't as fulfilling as in the prior two modules in the series.

Finished this yesterday as a group of four. We began chapter four with 15th lvl characters, and finished it at levels 16-17. Until this chapter the series was alright, as a hack n slash adventure. Very little story content, but good enough for some fun adventure.
This last part though... I very really disappointed. The story was the biggest bunch of cliches I've seen in some time, and the it was way too easy. We had difficult set in maximum, but we breezed through the module with very little effort. Only Klauth the 10.000 year old Red Dragon took a real fight to bring down, as in I had to drink two Heal potions. Otherwise a couple of our party died about two times, but all were because failed spell saves. Fire giants were easy, blackguards were losers, and the big final showdown was boring. Wigo couldn't touch us, and he went soon down. The demon was even more pathetic. We were not even powerplaying, just used the stuff what we got and used normal buffs. Very, very easy.
The one thing that saved our gaming experiece, was that our wizard went bad. She carried the remains of Sandoval with her and the staff, and when the time came, refused to give them up, and even fooled us with the fake staff. If not for that, I would be sorry for the time wasted on this module.
If you like super-easy hack n slash, play this one. If not, give this a pass.

This series must have been a wonderful addition to the original campaigns at some point. Now it is quite outdated, however. Thanks to the author for many hours of adventure, in any case. _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

For the time frame it's in, the music pack alone proves this was not necessarily better, but beyond what Bioware did at the time. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Disregard my question. I apparently came in through the out door, or some similar such thing.

Help...
I have been through the plains of dispair, freed the trapped souls, killed everything hostile around me, but I can't get on board the boat.
Did I miss something?
Please don't use exe files. Think about the Mac and Linux users. I am a Windows user, but even I prefer zips for total control over the installation.

Just finished the series. A supurb work. Certainly better than anything I have seen from Bioware and in the top 5 of the hall of fame (I could be persuaded to claim it is #1). The story line is good, progression of events well laid out and encounters well designed. The Citadel Music was a definite bonus.
Some comments, and these are my opinions. Certainly others would disagree. 1.) I felt the starting level was a little high. Started as Ranger4/Rogue1 with difficulty set to HCR. Did not use henchman until encounter with Eric's bro and found most encounters unchallenging. The jabberwocke was fun, as was the 1/2 orc with great sword. Fighting 3 dragons was difficult, but I attacked the black 1st, the green joined in but was out of Klauth's sight, so he was handled separately. He and PC were bout equal, neither being able to consistantly hit the other. The loser being the first to run out of healing and dragon's have few pockets. I think starting @ lvl 3 would be appropriate and new chars for a party.
2.) the loot was a little heavy and most found in chests. The found weapons & armor seemed to be provided mostly for fighters. I had 5 or 6 copies of blessing of daystar. Would like to have seen a rapier of the high road & desert fury (or equivalents) among the mix for other classes. Also, not much available for monks.
3.) Didn't read "hints to players" until finished. PC saw chess board and didn't see need to cross it, so went around. Also, did encounter some bodaks (ouch).
BUG:
Hit a bug. Think this is a Bioware bug and tied to HCR, as I had it once in another mod. Going back in time, I first took the ring from Klauth by force, Twice knocking him down to neutral before getting it. During the fight, PC killed a saurian that had been pooping in a corner from dragon fear and then attacke when it wore off. When done, all factions were hostile, including copper dragon. Reloaded and negotiated, thus changing history.

The entire series is exceptional, better than anything Bioware produced.
Just wanted to let you know that people are still downloading and TRULY enjoying your module. I've played quite a few modules lately (never did 1st time i installed NWN).. and this series is by far the best i have encountered so far. A lot of work went into this and it is truly appreciated.
All the showering of affection aside... some of the areas were by far too large for what was contained within, loved the long ones that made the map scroll but some of the other outdoor areas we just immense and only had a few small encounters / sites of interest...
One quetion though (if you still read these) I have just went through the planes of suffering (not sure if i remember name right) and entered the citatel basement.. I fought the sladd's and the door with the warning marker is locked and I have no key, I pretty much just walked straight up the middle of the planes and detoured to save the 2 groups of people so is there something I missed there? email: [email protected]

A very good module; plenty to do but not toomany quests outside the main one. Also liked the music; particularly Carmina Burana in the Citadel.

Enjoyable if straightforward adventure-- nice use of music.

I just finished all three of these mods, and I enjoyed them a lot. As it is, it's a great set of modules for single or multi-player. The only thing that could have made it significantly better would have been a dual storyline for evil characters. But still, I enjoyed playing a great deal. Keep up the great work!

Well I finished up.
Nice mod. I saw the influence of Morrowind here and there. Does the sword/Orc Umbra jog memories?
But that's good. I like retellings. Although I would have used a different name.

Spoiler....
Get this sword no matter how many times this guy kills you. It is nasty. Once I got that sword I kinda steamrolled over mucho monsters. Whoot!

Hi there, fantastic series!. I'm struggling at the end of 3 I think.
I've been to the plains of despair and helped both groups and i've been to the docks etc. I've used the 3 stones on the 3 portals but what now?. Where can I find Wigo?.
Many thanks for my favourite series of modules by the way!.

I am having that same problem as well. Is there any fix for it that someone can take me step by step through?

I had the jail bug too. I get back a saved original override and that work fine. Certainly a prob with the Tony's henchman pack.
I hope that will help, but now i'm going back to the citadel !
(Great mod indeed :)

Huge adventure, good history, but i thought the XP it's too much.
Ended at Fighter 10 / Weapon Master 12 and the battle are very easy.
:)
The trilogy is a great history and with many place to find.
Thanks for your hard work Trinity
Many hours of game. :)
mod crashes in jail. As soon as start talking to erik. I have managed to get past killing him by pausing and saving every 2 seconds, then reloading when it crashes, but that is long! Doesn't do it anywhere else. Also does it whether you come in from lower level or from front entrance. I noticed some others had reported this earlier. Have you been able to fix? Love the mod, would really like to finish.
