Description
Nominated for 2007 Module of the Year!
"Time Becomes a Loop" is a story-driven journey over, under, and through Time. Time . . . does it flow like a river to the sea, branching into streams and rivulets? Or is it a lake, filling with millions of raindrops whose splashes, however brief, affect it irrevocably and permanently?
You have come to the outskirts of Pleasanton to visit Moebius for the summer, as you often do. Moebius is a long-time friend of the family, and although you usually call him "Uncle", he isn't related to you by blood. You have been helping him out with the many inventions he is working on -- most recently, a device that will allow one to travel back in time, called the Diurnal Displacement Device (DDDevice, for short). Hopefully it will be finished soon, and you can try it out . . .
Short, fun play. I thought the maze was annoying and took away from the gameplay. The time travel element was not fully realized and the game seems to miss out on its potential. The story is interesting but again could have more depth. It is worth a play for a fun evening. Thanks for the contribution.

Interesting story by using time travel as the main theme. However, the main problem of the mod is that the dialogs of the "time guard" is too complicated (or technical?) to understand. I can't even understand most of the meanings of these dialogs... === May contain spoiler === Also, if the guard is so powerful, why not arrange the arrest of that time rouge before he create such a havoc? === End of (maybe) spoiler === _________________________ Overlooked Module Report February 2009 | Master List | Forum Thread Academy of Modding Excellence Romance Module List Horror Module Collection Starlight's favorite module list

I must say the story was interesting. I liked the choices and the multiple endings. One area I really found redundant and boring. The maze! It was overly tedious and extremely aggravating. (No offense) Otherwise I enjoyed it very much Thanks for all the hard work Liso _________________________ Michele O'Sullivan Ossian Forum Admin Link Liso NWNPodcast Staff Link

It was great! I can't really think of anything that put me off. Maybe a bit more challenging encounters. I've played it with a level 7 wizard and I've found it mostly easy. *Spoilers* I liked the music, the dialogues and the intro movie was awesome. Great atmosphere inside the maze even though it was big. I loved the story and I do hope that there's going to be a sequel. Ah, yes. The only problem was that when I fought with Moebius the basilisk attacked him. *End Spoilers* Again, great module. Well done :). It gets 10 from me.

I loved it. Even when it was predictable, I was excited to actually do it all. I knew I could count on you two for witty banter.

Very fun. A few things could have been done a little better, but overall a good mod.

Thanks so much for the review, QSW! I took your advice and changed the Roleplaying to "Medium" instead of "Heavy" -- I was thinking of it more as how much story there was in the module, versus how much your character can be themselves, but I think you're right. _________________________ Time Becomes a Loop - short, story-driven time travel mod!

Thank you for an evenings entertainment, I enjoyed this module very much. I hope that you both make more, as I should enjoy playing more of your work. See review for comments/feedback. _________________________ QSW -NWVault Reviewers Forum

What a great module! Perfect for playing through in an evening. The custom music in the niche areas really helped separate those scenes from the ones in the village. Good use of cutscenes, and combat was balanced. One idea for an improvement though - When you enter past versions of the village, you could reveal the map to the PC as they've already explored the area.

I really enjoyed this module! Thanks for putting in all the time and effort so we could play it. I'm sure all the ramblings of the timecop guy (can't remember his name) took a while to think up. It's hard to make nonsense that seems like it might actually mean something. Since I played multiplayer, I think I would have preferred that any member of the party could open the doors in the maze. I'm a little too impatient to wait for somebody else to do it. (I know, I should have been the party leader.) That's it for me. Thanks!
