Description
A temple was built in a previous age; a secret place of worship to Tharizdun, He of Eternal Darkness.
'WG4 - The Forgotten Temple Of Tharizdun' for NWN v.1.69
Based on TSR's 1982 Module by Gary Gygax
Designed by:

Starting Level: 1
Number of Players: 1-4
The Temple was built in a previous age, a secret place of worship to Tharizdun, He of Eternal Darkness. It drew the most wicked persons to it, and the cult flourished for generations, sending out its minions from time to time to enact some horrible deed upon the lands around.
However, a great battle eventually took place between Tharizdun and those opposed to his evil. Unable to destroy him, they were strong enough to overcome his power and imprison him somewhere, by means none have ever been able to discover.
Thus Tharizdun disappeared from the face of the earth, and from all of the other known planes, and has not been seen again since. After a time his servants returned again to the Temple, deserted as it was of any manifestation of their deity.
Amongst these wicked folk were many powerful magic-users and clerics. All sought with utmost endeavor to discern what had happened to Tharizdun, so that he could be freed and returned to rule over them once again.
This module is a combined wilderness and dungeon adventure scenario in the Greyhawk setting.
-----
This is a non-hardcore mod (recall portal, resting w/out penalty, etc.). There are some tough fights, however, so I recommend active saving.
There's not much rp'g, it's a Gygaxian hack & slash fest! I added some henchmen side quests, to make it a bit more interesting, however.
It's important to place map pins, as I intentionally left them out. GG's intention was that you get lost, and a bit frustrated on your way to the temple.
I hope this doesn't stop you, however, and you have fun playing it!
Since Tharizdun is connected with Tsojcanth, I have Bloodmonkey's rocky tileset hak included as well. That way you can play WG4 and S4 with a similar setting feel with the Yatils mts.

Special Thanks to:
The CEP2 Content Creators
Lilac Soule - Script genterator rox
JayAre - The Greyhawk books are so cool
The AME for the nod
Truckeeskibum - It is tlk 2.3, which comes with the CEP2.4 d/l. You can always verify needed custom content by opening the mod in the toolset, and going to the custom content tab of the modules properties. TimG - The 1st wolf cave chest should fire a journal entry when you open the chest. The 2nd wolf cave should have a journal entry script fire too. If not, I'll fix it. WPM 3e I removed, since SirOts is making one. I just keep updating mine with more CEP2.4 content. -U _________________________ Well, y'know... Sometimes you eat the bar, and..

I think if you check your log file it will tell you exactly what file you are missing. Most all the TLK files are on the vault someplace. It's most likely a CEP file. I have TLK up to CEP2.3 and it works for me. I am stuck in the Wolf valley with the abandoned town. I found the chest with the note about caged victims but can't find anything else to do... I must have overlooked something... Also, a new mod that isn't on the vault yet? Sounds intriguing

I mean CEP 2.4. Sorry, I'm confusing work with modding. It's been a brutal week. _________________________ Well, y'know... Sometimes you eat the bar, and..

I also update my 3e White Plume Mountain (not on the boards) to CEP4.0. If you want a copy to play, just email me. _________________________ Well, y'know... Sometimes you eat the bar, and..

Oops, 'my bad' as they say... I reloaded my last Save and sure enough my char *was* exported automagically - it was so fast smooth I hadn't even noticed the first time! :) OK then, I have successfully loaded my char from Temple into Caverns and have just started playing... Hey! Hold that wagon, wait for me! :)

OK, thanks - I'll give it a try! :)

Hi Neilium, thanks for the kind words and vote! So your char didn't export? Weird, I have an export script in the final conv. Crash is weird too. Wasn't able to replicate. Caverns is tough, I'd try using your char, assuming your char is at or below 8th level. _________________________ Well, y'know... Sometimes you eat the bar, and..

Hi U! :) Just played through and enjoyed it! Had to take a few points off for Pet Peeve #17 - no option to Save Char before GameEnd. Other than that, I had no problems except the game crashed on me (tried 5 times) when bringing the heart back to the birdmen (?) folk. I found the Temple anyway and was able to bring the book gems back to the Hall. Do you advise using the same character to play on into Caverns, or doesn't it matter? Thanks again! :)
