Disclaimer
Vis et Virtus is not a normal Neverwinter Nights module, nor is it intended to be. It is, by design, a mostly linear adventure with a heavy emphasis on story and character development. It was designed to be a fusion of game genres combining elements from traditional Japanese console RPG games like Final Fantasy, with computer RPGs like NWN, along with devices that are unique to VeV.
If you are looking for a game that uses a non-linear approach with lots of dialogue options through which you can create a character of your choosing, featuring standard NWN systems, I encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of excellent games out there that do an excellent job of this. I would also encourage you to look elsewhere if you don't have the time to allow the story and characters to develop. Like a great novel, the story gets better as it goes, and many questions remain unanswered until later in the series. In the beginning, you will not know the full history of each of the characters nor have a full understanding of their motivations, but over the course of the game these elements will become apparent. Finally, in order to add to the depth of the characters, Vis et Virtus uses pregenerated characters. If you are uninterested in games involving pregenerated characters, please do not waste your time downloading VeV.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for a game with a truly epic story, strategic battles, engaging party members, unique systems and stunning custom content that make you feel like you're playing an entirely different game, you will enjoy Vis et Virtus.
If you are still uncertain as to whether Vis et Virtus is the sort of gaming experience you like, I encourage you to read our reviews. QSW and the Vault Review Team have written excellent, detailed reviews of the last three chapters of VeV which will likely give you a good idea of what to expect. You can find them at Link, Link, and Link.

Try the dialogue option that says to push him into the iron. Then go stealth mode and walk up to him.

So, I saved the character and started chapter 6 manually. And downgraded the score I gave this mod.

OK, now I am stuck.
SPOILER:
This is a real show-stopper. I am standign behind Amayruu, trying to decide in which way to kill him. But each attempt gets me killed!
Even when I try Zhana's suggestion (pushing him into the hot iron), I end up dead for no apparent reason. The next chapter begins to load - but I have the "you are dead" screen.
All the other suggestions, get me, well, simply dead.
How do I kill that monster???

OK. I played chapter 3, which was just as annoying as 1 and 2. I finished 4 and I am now in 5, in in these last two there is some improvement.
Still too many open, pointless areas. I am the kind of player who likes to explore each area to the fullest, uncovering the map, talking to people (getting info and maybe some side-quests), looting. In the last 3 chapters I gave up. Whenever I have to go cross-country through 10 areas from one town to the next, I just do it as fast as possible, killing what baddies I find along the way.
I find Woohah (or whatever his name is) ALMOST as irritating as Deekin from the Official Campaign (if you ever come across a "I hate Deekin", I will have written there, most likely).
The cut scenes (and the CoC) are just as annoying and time consuming, and much less funny IMO than what other people think.
And I still think you should have stuck to the default music. The music in this series makes me grind my teeth.
However... I did find the sequences where Seiji is chased by the Purple Haired Guy *hair-raising*. And I hope I get an opportunity for revenge, after he turned me a few times into Seiji-burgers.
I released an update to the prologue and chapters 1-6 today. Chapters 7 and 8 will be updated in the coming weeks.
I've dubbed this particular version the "Almost Final Version" because we are honing in on a Final Version. Andrew and I will be doing one last test run this summer and updating accordingly before officially labeling VeV Final.
These final updates are almost exclusively polish, subtle details and bug fixes. The only update I would like to point out is that we have added an On / Off switch to the boss cutscenes we added in version 4. That way, if you prefer not to watch those scenes, you can turn them off via a Macro Command. Further information is included in the in game Journal.
We have also remade our Vis et Virtus Website from scratch and moved it over to wordpress. We are still working on the finishing touches on this as well, but all the important information should be accessible there. You can find it at the link above.
Since the website has had a lot of downtime lately due to the server, I've decided to use a different host. The new Vis et Virtus website can be found at the link above.
Friends, due to being in the process of opening a business and my test player being busy in his final year of college, I'm going to take a different approach with the release than I have in the past with 4.0. I'd like to ask those of you on the vault to please help me find bugs with the new version, so I'm releasing the beta. I have, of course, done a good deal of testing myself, but I'd love to get your input on the new version.
Chapter 6 will be up in the next week or two, but chapters 7 and 8 are quite a bit further off. Fortunately, version 4.0 is 99% backwards compatible with version 3.0, so you should be able to finish playing through even if I haven't finished releasing the later 4.0 chapters.
Feel free to email me directly if you happen to find any bugs. I check my email far more frequently than I do this site. My email address is: [email protected]
Thanks,
Jim

Apart from 'the saga' being a really mediocre attempt, this one also appears to lack any resemblance of proper playtesting and debugging. _________________________ Do dance with the rogues.

Some improvements over earlier entries.
Same pros: Amusing characters.
Dislike that stealth doesn't seem to matter all. Like on the patrician quest. Stealth, invisibility seems to do nothing. If I knew everyone had true seeing, I would not have wasted 50+ points in Hide/Move.
Hit the "monk eye bug" in this mod. Froze my computer in the "Temple of the Mist" several times until I remembered that there was a problem with 20+ level monks, this is the first time I encountered them (I am multi-classed so not 20th level). I have a farily common setup (NVidia 8800GT, Intel Q9400, Win7). But the patch to turn glowing eyes back on fixed it.
Also the end transitions could be handled a bit better. I didn't have Mod6 installed and essentially it was freeze/go black each time I replayed the end until I figured out what the issue was.

Didn't like The Claw eating innocent pygmies.
The Patrician's quest was frustrating.
Somehow I wonder what would happen to the Clawed Man if I did a different tactic.
Solid otherwise. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

I'm not sure if I'm following exactly where you are, but if you completed the Patrician quest and got your party back, you want to head to the northern docks to catch a ride to the WI. If you've not completed the Patrician quest, you need to talk to Van Eisen to initiate that.

Chapter 5 takes Vis et Virtus to a whole new level. The story continues to deliver as a crumbling world order thrusts the party to seek the highest diplomatic power at the White Isle. With a masterful blend of party tension, a world that is consumed by corruption and chaos, and dark humor, the writing is that of a great novel. Chapter 5 surpasses the previous chapters in custom material, which is shocking considering this series's custom content is unrivaled by the rest of the vault. Chapter 5 new custom content includes hundreds of more items in the shops, new items on the ground, henchmen special moves, in addition to the vast array of custom content already seen in Vis et Virtus. All in all, this is the best game out there and everyone who enjoys neverwinter should download this game.

MINOR SPOILERS
A tiny thing I also noticed is that you pay the captain for 6 people, but only 4 start the journey. If Seiji didn't play this outcome up front, or didn't want someone to notice, this makes sense. Though you might want to poke some fun at this issue, lie the captain saying he doesn't do refunds or something like that. -_-

I must say that at this point, the story captivates me to a degree that I simply forget to put down notes during play. So once I hit the end of a chapter, it's hard to point out specifics as the most memorable aspect is the characters, which gladly wasn't changed with the new versions.
In this chapter, you have the crew completely assembled. So from here on, you get to enjoy the party dynamics I found to be the pinnacle of this series, though the characters were already great on their own. The author is still polite, fast & helpful. I didn't feel drags, either because they weren't there or because I was so into the story that I didn't notice. Oh, and nice revelation, by the way. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

I have to admit that I don't have a lot of helpful comments this time, for reasons stated in the next post. So I'll just mention some stuff I noticed, though none of this needs to be changed:
This time around, I put only a few points into hiding. I did find a belt that pumped my move silently skill, but no boosts for hiding. That being said, maximizing dexterity with the various equipment I had available brought my chances to 25%, which was doable with just a few reloads. Though if there are a few poor chaps that didn't keep the right equipment AND never put a point into the hide skill MIGHT experience some difficulty, if such a person exists. And unless I didn't overlook an item addressing this issue.
I was pretty much drowning in equipment halfway through this mod, as most of the shops had no money left and every inventory was filled to the brim with stuff. Until I noticed Yur Rika has unlimited gold, that is. My purse now holds over 10 million gold pieces! :) _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

That may be. Then I got something mixed up. No wonder I didn't find anything.
Thank you. I will put the Bloodhound rings to good use then. *resumes playing* _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
Nope, Tre's house hasn't changed. Perhaps you were thinking of Brom's secret passages in the throne room? Anyhow, Zombies r us is in a hidden passage along the right wall of Dis' temple down a trap door. I think it's about halfway down.

Ah, found them, thank you.
Wasn't that the backdoor last time I visited?
I also have trouble finding Zombies'R'Us. Can you tell me where exactly to find it? I've run around the Dis temple for quite some time now. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
Tre's vault is in his house on the first floor. Go straight north through a door and you'll reach a room with several doors around which are locked. Take the key from Tre's inventory to unlock them.
