Description
The story unfolds upon the remote island known as, "Isla Finola", just off the south shores of Gavol. From there, the adventure takes place inside of Lord Jharol's Castle. You had wandered into the City of Gavol looking for work or pleasure, but instead, you decided to jump aboard a merchant ship heading to the castle to deliver supplies. You have no memory after boarding the ship, and you awake within the castle where it all begins.
Lord Jharol's father had built the castle allowing both schools, one of combat and one of magic, to be open to the public. Citizens of Gavol and other outlying areas would come to train, but not all who came had the same intent. Arriving to the castle as a stowaway, you stumble upon a sinister turn of events thus leading you into your adventure.

ericdoman, Part 2 is moving along. I just about have all of the areas laid out, 70 to be exact. I still need to create around 15 NPC's, complete their dialogues and quests, create stores and items, configure scripts, whew...I have a bit to go yet, and then test. I'd say give it a few more months. I'd like to be testing by early Fall time frame. Thanks for checking back. Lomondra, The confusion is left to be assumed they all talk to each other when your out adventuring. You do actually fill in certain people of some of the events, I didn't go too far in depth with that. No, you don't get kicked out by asking too many times about Lord Jharol. Again, something I didn't go into depth with. You should've however, met him upon completing the tasks. There is no order to do the quests in, and I tested it by turning everything in at the end. I'm a little puzzled as to why it did not work for you. *Sigh* I will check on that for you just to be sure, you really want to finish it properly. Anyway, thanks for playing and the vote! very well done. I play a rogue/wizard and a couple of times I had a bit of a time with traps and locks; and then, *facepalms* ah ha, I used my many lock picks! I liked it very much, my rogue abilities were really tested here! POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW ---------------------------- why you didn't get a ten: at first every one was confused, but at what point were they no longer confused and why? never got to see lord jharol and no matter how many times I asked, I was never thrown out to the front gate (as threatened) from asking after the lord so many times. long screen treks to get back continually to sell, and return quest items. this is possibly why the return of the log book didn't finish; since I surely did something out of order. The last items I returned was the body of the searcher, that went ok, and then I tried to return the log, but no go. at first _________________________ Does this armor make my butt look big?

Blitz74 Well checking back after a couple of months (5) and wondering how part 2 is unfolding. Play both NWN and NWN2 but found that there is a famine of modules in both. Anyway would help with play testing. Used a dwf ftr/clr first time and would probably go through it with a rg/ftr next time around.

hmdai, I welcome your comments and will ponder on it a bit. This is the most commented on discouragement and I will propose a solution in the near future. Thanks again. Blitz. _________________________ Current Modules - The Dark Ruins of Jharol

Blitz, I understand you try to be as realistic as possible. However, the problem is, after the PC has gone to third levels of catacomb and they need to walk back to the castle with nothing to do, it may kill-off the mood you try to build up. Maybe you could give the player a one-off teleport tools which can let the player to go back to the castle more easily? _________________________ Overlooked Module Report February 2009 | Master List | Forum Thread Academy of Modding Excellence Romance Module List Horror Module Collection Starlight's favorite module list

jhackyman and laisee, Thank you both for playing and the vote. Laisee, v1.10 is uploaded, and I have made a prompt for character export upon the end. I honestly could not figure out how to adjust the respawn penalty. It is probably simple, but I will figure it out for Chapter 2. I can agree with some on the argument of travelling, and I can disagree as well. My opinion, and this is just my opinion, is that travelling is a part of the adventure. It makes it more realistic. However, having a magical way of travel can provide a realistic yet convenient way of speeding things up also. I see it both ways. I myself do not frown upon having to hike it sometimes. If others do, that's totally fine. This module is not overly large, but the next one will be and I have already prepared it to satisfy all. Everyone who has commented has given me a wealth of suggestions and I can't wait for you all to play it! In case any of you are wondering, Chapter 2 is moving right along. I would say I'm probably around 45% complete, and hope to start testing by June 2009. Thank you all for your support!! ~Blitz _________________________ Current Modules - The Dark Ruins of Jharol
