Description
The Tales of the Heart Saga begins with exploring the clashes between the Kingdom of Aerth, to the West, and the region of Gheldor to the East, richer, but politically divided into city-states, and as such vulnerable.
You are the son of the Lord of Valyria, the wondrous most important city of Gheldor, once seat to a larger Empire, and capital enemy to Aerth. Your uncle, however, usurped the throne and killed your father, sending you to exile to Folseine, nearby city-state. When the Kingdom of Aerth conquers Folseine, you are 'freed', and brought to Aerth..
Follow, then, the tale of Aerth and the blood of Valyria.. as any political intrigue,
there cannot be any scruple, nor any hesitation...
Playing Tips Level - You start at level 4 - but due to flashbacks you may experience some "fluctuations". Do not panic!
Race and Class - This module is playable with Human race character and fighting classes. As such Fighters, Paladins, Rangers are the best picks - Barbarian is also a possibility, but does not make much sense fluff-wise. Multiclassing to classes with 3/4 BAB progression such as Bards and Rogues is not very much advised, except as a 1 level dip.
Skills - I recommend all the ones strictly related to combat, such as Discipline, Taunt, Tumble.
Heal is warmly advised as healing kits are generally the main way of healing yourself, and death is final in this module. Social skills such as Intimidate, Persuade, Bluff have a few uses in the game, you should probably pick one of them if you can spare the points, but it is not required.
Exploration - Not all quests are functional to the end game, but finishing them yields nice rewards. Not all map locations are pinned in the map, so explore the areas instead of rushing to complete the main quests!
# Tales if the Heart: Valyrian's Blood is the first installment of a flashback storyline which will be completed with the second chapter Tales of the Heart: Power Play.
# Many thanks to Beerbaron72 for the beta testing.
Please signal any possible bug, or leave a comment, and a vote. And moreover, have fun. ;)
I apologize for the mistake. Cleaning through my folders several days ago I realized that there was an unreleased hotfix to this module dating 2010 which wasn't released, but have uploaded the wrong file and as such lost the readme in the process although the module is now playable again.
It mostly contained playing tips - which I will now add in the module descriptor.
Again, my bad. Main problem fixed, probably I should get around improving the conversations in this module one of these days. _________________________ Modules created

I said NOT related to this mod but If you make another mod then try to tell that if feats like brew potion , scribe scroll or wand enchantment can be used through the game or not, if revelant. I used my tweaked barbarian class. _________________________ Neverwinter Balance Patch Balance Patch

*sighs* Had hoped you had added something. :-) But the award logo certainly looks snazzy! _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?
I made no more updates so far, through I will fix the xp scale to the previous value next. I believe the module signs as updated because of the award added to page. :P (I've seen updating modules whose author had deleted from the vault, because they had reached the hall of fame.) _________________________ Modules created

No, Andreas; Beer had it correct. It was your hard work that inspired the review.
I see that this came up as updated - what has been updated? Thanks! _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?
Beer, it's Eva you should congratulate with for the review. :)
Mr.Ghosh, thanks for your honest vote. A couple of thoughts: there might be needing some more documentation, however I noted in the readme that the useful skills were Discipline, Heal, Taunt, and Tumble overall. Then, since you have to use a fighting class, Brew Potion and the likes make little. Maybe you played with a wrong class? Try with Ranger, Paladin, Fighter, Barbarian i.e. the ones with full ab bonus.
On the CEP. I dislike it for the insane area loading times in the toolset and because there are too many items who tend towards oriental style. I could use other hakpaks, but loading them without a stable broadband is a torture. _________________________ Modules created

Congrats on your mod's review, Andreas!

Tales of heart. This is a good module.
Short and Sweet. The words to describe this. I enjoyed the start section more than later parts. I liked the armor weapon sets. {In appearance}. A little recommendation-
1.Try to use CEP mod in the next module or aleast use some of its resources .
2. In readme try to tell what weapons are going to be available through the game. Like if two handed weapons were available I would have used different class and used two weapons. Not related to this mod but If you make a mod try to tell that if feats like brew potion , scribe scroll or wand enchantment can be used through the game or not.

Andreas - I will most certainly pass your message along to Shia. :-) We are such a friendly lot over in the reviewers forum!
Looking forward to more from you! _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?

Horrible spelling and grammar ruined the roleplaying aspect for me. Story was average, not very interesting.

Hi Andreas
Well, I think I sent you a message through the accounts. Hmmm...wierd. Okay...I'll shoot you an email with my question, then. No biggie, just mostly curious at this point. _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?
FP, congratulations on your victory! There was hardly any competition at all.
Shia, thanks for the offer of becoming a reviewer, but being a modder, it just doesn't feel so right. Anyway, if also guests can sign at your 'private' forums, we might exchange a PM or two. ;) If your Italian is rusty, there's room to fix it, if it's absent, it'll have to be built. :) _________________________ Modules created

*grinning at Andreas*, I fear my understanding of written Italian might well be beyond anyone's help! We shall see. I will try it. Alternatively, you could become a reviewer. It would be excellent to be able to review a non-English language module like Beerbaron's. (If he would be ok with it that is). What do you think? No? (We have 'private' forums and a PM system ;P)
I am playing Revenant for review atm and then I plan on yours. With luck I might be able to give Eva 'some help' in Peer Review (aka, a hard time *evil grin*)! Though actually, she is so much faster reviewer than me I think you'll be safe! ;)
Have fun :) _________________________ Check out the latest reviews of new modules: The NWVault Reviewers Guild
*bows* Thank you, thank you. It was an.. unexpected turn of events. I am man enough to admit that perhaps there were modules more worthy, and am very glad to have won an award.
@Shia Luck, I hope you will enjoy. If you want to play Beerbaron's mod, it's worth it if you have the time, and if you need a translator, here I am. ;)
God, hope that doesn't sound too much like one the worst pick-up lines ever. :P
@Eva, thank you. I am looking forward to your review. No haste here, we all have real lives overcoming NWN. :)
I am confused about one thing.. did you mean e-mail? Coz I didn't know the NWVault had a PM system, and I didn't receive anything at my address. Let me know so I can reply to you..
@Beer.. ti ho già risposto in e-mail, cmq rinnovo le congratulazioni. ;) E se vai a guardare i miei post molto più vecchi, ci troverai che avevo detto che Shadewood avrebbe vinto. Non per menarmela, haha. _________________________ Modules created

Congrats on your MotY Bronze Award, Andreas. I very much enjoyed this game and look forward to the sequel (I'll be placing my vote later). _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?

:P _________________________ Modules created
