Caramon, sword in hand, can only stand beside me and watch in awe as foe after foe falls to my spells. Lightning crackles from my fingertips, flame flares from my hands, phantasms appear-so real that they can kill by fear alone.
Goblins die screaming. Baby dragons flee in terror back to the dark and secret places of their hatching. Draconians wither in flame. Dark clerics of Takhisis, are impaled upon a flight of shimmering spears, their last prayers turned to wailing curses of agony.
Finally comes the Black Robes, the eldest of the Order, to destroy me-the young upstart. But they find to their dismay that-old as they are-I am in some mysterious way older still. My power is phenomenal. They know within an instant that I cannot be defeated. The air is filled with the sounds of chanting, and one by one, they disappear as swiftly as they came, many bowing to me in profound respect as they depart upon the wings of wish spells........
They bow to me.
Master of Past and Present.
I, Magus.

*Module has a built in character level so you can design character up to the 14th level if desired*
---------------------------------------
The same haks will be used in....
Dragons of Evening Frost
Dragons of Spring Past
...as in this one.
---------------------------------------
This module requires the custom content of Project Q. A link to their page is provided below.

This is a link to the 7z free software used to open files. For those who do not have it. It's great for opening big files. Many members are using this tool to format their files. Hope this helps. Any questions please ask. External Website Beyond Our Control
This link will take you to Worm's 9 Tileset page. All you need to do is download all 4 parts for the Mirkwood tileset. When you extract them onto your computer it will take data from all four parts and give you the main hak. That is the hak you place in your hak folder. Thank you.
Wicked! your mods are the reason i have neverwinter still installed on my comp ^_^

Correction, Sturm has a mustache, it's the length of a beard. He doesn't have one when the PC meets him at the Inn.

It would be more than average if the game was not unbalanced. True balance makes skills such as Appraise worth spending points on, not from giving player characters tons of godlike items to sell for an infinite amount of gold. Sturm Brightblade has a beard and is missing one, I'm sure he would not approve. Then, there are all the typos, such as improper use of their, there and they're. I give it a 5 because the map design and scripting are well done, but the rest of the module needs to be polished.

Nevermind, I renamed the crystal dragons hak to dragon hak.hak and it worked. Anyway, I played it and it needs work. It has several typos and it makes it look unprofessional, the portrait of the wench at the beginning has a burly man's portrait. Too many magic items at the beginning, especially when you break into the other rooms. That gives the character an almost endless supply of gold when they sell the items which unbalances the game. Why use a rogue at all if any class can open unlocked chests full of godlike treasure? Especially when all it takes is one invisibility spell to just walk into an area and take all the treasure? Scaling down the treasure would go a long way to make this mod challenging at least. This module should use Hordes of the Underdark as a guide to determine monster stats, treasure, and difficulty as it for the same level of characters. Then it would be balanced and a proper representation of Dragonlance in NWN. It would also be great if custom portraits would be added to it so that the Heroes of the Lance look like the Heroes of the Lance. Sturm Brightblade has a beard you know. Also, with some help from the NWN and Dragonlance fans here some voice actors would be great, especially for the long and prolonged cutscenes such as the Lord Soth intro. Reading a long story float over silent characters is boring. Aside from the criticisms above, I do find the map design and scripting very well done(aside from the bad spelling). I appreciate all the work that was put into putting it together, it was no easy task.

I can't find dragon hak.hak, the module won't start without it. If anyone can tell me where it's located I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Dear Thenannyhmoh, Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. It's people like you, Qlippoth and Korrgarr that keeps giving me the drive to make mods for NWN. I have always been accused of being a Montyhall DM and the shoe does fit. I am truly working on this. I think it is sinking in that true players really want to take their time in building characters up. I have made notes on all you comments and am turning it into a check list. When I get the chance I will revise this mod. ---------------------------------------------------------------- As for the black screen. Hit the options "O" on your keypad. Save the game. Then load the save and you will be in the area you are suppose to be in. Sorry about this. The script I used to transport the player had a fade to black script. When I tried to remove the string it did not compile correctly. I am working on this too. Hope this helps. It will allow you to continue throuh the game. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks again for helping me out Thenannymoh. You have brought a smile to this old kender's face. May dragons fly forever in your dreams. :) ----------------------------------------------------------------- What makes me really happy is that this is coming from a person who is not a Dragonlance fan. If you like to read, I do hope you pick up some novels. Chronicles and Legends would be a good start. You won't be disappointed. _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. SPOILERS*** OK I'll review what I can...the game broke for me after defeating the dragon in the dungeon. I entered one of the exits, and the wizard tried to leave the party in the "green portal" area. Then, the Kiri valley area loads, and I can hear everything, can move my character with the WASD keys, but nothing is visible...the screen is completely black. So, I'm stuck at this point. (have tried using both doors out of the dungeon...tried breaking convo with wizard, but there are no area transitions in the green portal area...tried over and over but can't get past this). THE GOOD - dialogue is realistic and mature - character development...each has their own personality without delving into cliche - the setup...grabbed me right from the beginning - music is very good - immersive tilesets/environ - great textures, faces - the lore of the story easy to slip into, even for someone like me who has no dragonlance exposure - the bar convos at the beginning, during the memory sequences, were engrossing - 4 hours between rest...this has always been my favourite rest set-up THE NOT AS GOOD - for level 14 character, the equipment seems pretty powerful...equipment in first hour (lots of +6/+7 stuff), and there is a lot of it, starts to oversaturate (that said, the baddies would be pretty tough without it)...just seems more designed for epic characters rather than 14th/15th level - so far, plot seems to develop too quickly. Once I leave home, I was hoping for a journey that lined up with the setup...a long trip. It seems once we hit the road, we were immediately meeting dragons in epic ancient tombs (with huge treasure hawl to boot). Fun battles, but the pacing didn't meet the standards of the setup at the very beginning. - During big battles, and in towns (not indoors), this module managed to be a pig on my machine...no small feat (I've got a pretty zippy gaming rig), and the fps dips were pretty severe. - hangups and crashes...there were a few to this point, but all fixed themselves on re-load until the game broke (described above) - broken convos..."any advice?" questions to my companions would stop the convo - Journal...every journal entry reads "error" (incl companions), except of the "main" entry - area scales...I walk into a woodshed, and inside it looks like a football arena...not a major issue, but a little jarring SUMMARY - with some technical tweaking, this could be one of the best in the vault...so much potential with an excellent story base and mature, well-considered dialogue - fills a niche - one of few adventures for the 14-20 level range - visually gorgeous - my rating is pending until I can get past the game breaker...not fair to rate until I can finish the mod Thanks for creating this gem-in-waiting!

I'm about 2 hours into this adventure, so rating is pending...but so far - WOW. Just wow. Story has me completely hooked. The life you bring to these characters is a gift. And everything looks so damned pretty. The odd minor glitches are easily overlooked. A classic in the making...I can't wait to get back to it.
