It probably favors a fighter class, but a well-played mage could be a good choice also.

Description
***This module was previously known as "Breaking Bad"***
"It is said that years ago a great general rose up from the Abyss and struck terror into the hearts of those in the upper planes by carving a path of destruction through the heavens. The celestial army responded with a swift and brutal counter-offensive led by their best general; a solar named 'Pevlanar'. As the war raged, it became clear that neither side was defeating the other and many soldiers were falling on both sides. As the two generals battled each other in the skies, there was a brilliant flash of light and instantly both generals were gone. And the war came to a sudden standstill.
That was 2,200 years ago."
Features
--------------------------
- 3 endings
- Optional combat in some areas.
- Possible alignment shifting.
- and various other little things here and there.
This module is designed as a single player adventure. If you find any problems with it, please let me know.
ATTN: You will need CEP 2.3 to play this, SoU and HoTU both installed, and patch 1.69.
*All the updates I have made to this module can be found in the readme file*
If anyone knows what is that amazing music playing near the start, in the "Tomb of the Forgotten"... please, let me know. _________________________ @ + jml

... and don't forget to re-open that same chest once the "door" popped-up. 'might make you happy. That story is getting better and better... _________________________ @ + jml

There is a very ennoying bug in the current version, at the very begining in the Tomb of the Forgotten. You might find yourself unable to leave that area, trapped behind a locked stone door. Just be very careful with the way you're going to manage "a certain chest" here: once you've got finally a free access to that chest, click on it to open it, but, right after that, click again on it to close it. That second "unnecessary but mandatory" click should open a "special door" right behind you. _________________________ @ + jml

I'm somewhat torn (as well as stalled in the game.) I found the module to be quite linear, despite there being several possible endings. I was given choices, but it seemed every choice offered was essentially "do something questionably evil, or give up and go home." I ran into DMs who ran things that way in PnP back in the day, and was usually somewhat disappointed by it. When I reached the point in Dusambey with the Retriever, I stalled repeatedly in the midst of the fight, and no amount of saves, back-tracks, or revert games seemed to help at all. I stalled about 6 times completely, and on the last, froze my entire computer. Admittedly, there is likely a lot of the game I'm missing, but I'm afraid the feeling of there being no options but evil or mostly evil left me with little will to continue ply. I hate giving bad ratings- the storyline seems a good one, and the layout and general build are excellent too. _________________________ "There's no religion but time motion- No religion, just tribal scars."

No problem, furball. Glad you liked it. It's quite an honor for me to hear it's one of your favorites. As soon as I get my computer fixed I'll be working on another.

I just want to apologize that I voted more than once. I should have made sure it was set to comment only. Dkstrick your mod is one of my favorites.

Hi ThraMe, furball is right, This module can be a little touchy when it comes to outside influences. I've had many bugs reported that I can't get to happen to me when I test it. You may have to temporarily folder your override files for this module to run smoothly. Sorry about that. That problem may have something to do with CEP 2.3. Currently the computer I make these on is screwed up so it may be a while before I can update this module. Finding computer parts in Ghana here can be a real wild goose chase at times. I'll try to make some more updates to this when I can.

ThraMe make sure you have nothing in your overide folder.

I'd love to play this module, it looks pretty promising, but I'm stuck at the Tomb of the Forgotten; no magic door opens with the chest. I restarted a couple of times and even redownloaded the module file but the same thing happens every time: I speak with the demon, I open the chest with my stuff and then I'm just stuck there. Any ideas?

Judah66 and furball, Hey, thanks alot! I really appreciate that. I'm trying to come up with my next module right now, and when we builders get comments like that it really spurs us forward, so thanks again. I'm sorry for these little tick-tacky bugs, I'm trying to squash them all as fast as I can. I'm going to have to go back and play through it again and see if I can round up any other bugs that may be lurking. Valduil is giving you the cold shoulder, eh? I'm going to have to teach him some manners in my next update. You should be able to talk to him as much as you want. Again, thanks a lot for the feedback!
