Description
Erebus: The Dark Rain
This module takes place in the Kingdom of Cardon, based on a homebrew Pen and Paper setting.
You take the role of a protagonist with a shadowy past. Waking in the village of Kach you have adapted somewhat to life without knowing of your past. When an attack by the K'thragong Clan of Orcs causes you and three others to action your part in this simple event spirals your reality out of control.
Features short term companions, compatible with all classes and races (human suggested, game is geared only towards humans). Simple fishing system. Utilizes HOTU crafting.
Also has a rhyming narrator ;)
Updated hak pak, and made several minor bug fixes that have been found.
Has lots of potential. Right now, it has an interesting storyline, great ambiance and development, but it seems to make up for unpolished little details like missing conversations, linearity in reactions and storyline. This one ails from the dreaded "in certain order" quest dilemma. It was a great test module for the Q Project content, rather than an actual module. A little more work on details like the NPC's and plot exposition would go a long way. Also, very short and small. It could have been a much bigger chapter. Reminds me a lot of early works like Shadowlords, which could have been made into a single module, rather than a campaign.

An overall solid experience. The atmosphere and area design stood out especially well. The use of skills and the occasional scenery description added much-needed flavour in what I thought were rather bland hackslash portions in the mid-game, with little going for them in relation to the plot - to me it felt like the whole Erebus arc took a backseat during the 3 errands. I also think I encountered a bug: The optional Plate mail reward from the Order had a detached pelvic piece on it when I put it on my human female character.

This is an very atmospheric mod with a dark story, that keeps the player captivated for more revelations as it goes on... I highly recommend this mod.

Oh wait i realised i had another bug to mention, At the Merc tavern, I tried to get on one of the horses, well it sort of worked, except I would have liked to have been on the horse instead of the horse on top of my head. LoL I tried it twice and same result every time. Thats one*bleep* horse!

Very excelent Module. The idea is fresh, the setting new, I enjoyed the setting design, even though I had difficulty seeing because of all the foliage lol. I did encounter some frustration and that was mainly due to path finding. There is one thing that should be fixed however, the Coffins in the crypt are placed badly, at least 1/2 of them are backwards and the front faces the wall, and you can not get to it to unlock them. They should either be placed front side out, or moved away from the back of the room to alow pathfinding. I look forward to the next installment and ad a deeper understanding to what has transpired and is transpiring. Well done.

The download isn't working, can someone fix this? :(

I enjoyed this module, the story is great. I especially liked the PnP feel, and the obscureness of Erebus adds the touch of creepiness needed to pull you in. The scripting is solid and planned out smartly. Although I would have liked a "you will not be able to return to town" message before I began the first quest in town (I ultimately had to restart all over due to lack of items), there seems to be no bugs. A great play all together. _________________________ _________________________ Darkness Enthralled, a unique creative NWN series being developed in 2012. Sometimes a chest is just a chest. No, it's not relevant to the quest. Just a chest you can open if you have the patience to figure out the pattern.

Is that aforementioned chest part of a quest? If not, I'll just bypass it for now and figure it out later. Just that when I saw that series of ruin plates, I didn't see any clue or hint before I got there how to solve it. At least if there was one, I missed it. Thanks, Joe
