At least one fighter level recommended. A melee character will probably work best.

Description
During your career as a gladiator in Waycross you became involved with a mysterious organization called the Shroud. This group works in secrecy to stop the designs of the Scourge. The Scourge has been using dark magic to create an army of horrid monstrosities and undead in order to take over the realms.
You have progressed to become one of the top agents for the Shroud. Some of your missions have taken you down dark paths and have caused you to make choices that may seem unethical, but you've had to look past that for the greater cause.
The Shroud has relocated to the secluded Mystwood. Their base isn't far from the city of Nova's Cape, which is known for its corruption and debauchery making it a perfect location for Scourge activity. Your mission is investigate this city and determine if there are any connections to your enemy. Along the way you will be faced with temptations that could cast a shadow over your soul. Is the promise of power worth the risk? That will be for you to decide.
WARNING: This module is fantasy erotica and therefore sexually explicit. It contains nudity and sexy fantasy armor. There are also fully animated sexual encounters although the player has the option to opt out of most of these situations depending on decisions that are made in the game. If you find such material offensive then do not play this. If you are under 18 do not continue. This module is for adults only.

- Big thanks to all the beta testers for all the great feedback and bug finding. You guys are the best!
[Note that the above are included in the gladiatrix hakpak files for ease of setup. Only the CEP needs to be downloaded separately to play this module]
See the gladiatrixIIreadme.txt file for installation, gameplay requirements and tips to enhance your playing experience.
IMPORTANT GAMEPLAY TIPS:
- Never escape out of a conversation
- Save often. There are no autosaves in this module
- Don't click quickly through conversations. You could cause important scripts to not fire.
- Don't get click-happy at the beginning of an area load. At times there are conversations that start right on area load and if you get clickety then you could cause the conversation to not appear.
- If any of your "henchmen" die while working for you then you will have to resurrect them or go back to a prior save. Your companions are critical to the module events and story
Gladiatrix3.hak file. Unzip and place in your hak folder. This is a new hak file so you will need it to play the module. If you were a beta tester then you will need to redownload this file
Gladiatrix.hak and Gladiatrix2.hak files - If you haven't played Gladiatrix then go to the Gladiatrix link and download gladiatrixhak.zip and gladiatrixhak2.zip. Unzip and place in your hak folder. If you played Gladiatrix then you don't need to download these files
After the magetower mission I noticed that Beta's Ring of Protection is not removed from the inventory, is this a bug? I sure hope that isn't a plot critical item as I left it in Nova's Cape as I proceeded in the module.

I finished Gladiatrix and Gladiatrix II and enjoyed both of them. The exterior areas in II were especially well done, though Nova's Cape was rather lackluster. As a suggestion I would think making it appear to be a section of a larger city would work better. I also found the base really nicely built but under used story wise. Anyway the story was interesting and it was nice to see a well paced adventure, with a fair bit of variation in what you were doing. I was completely baffled as to why the inn was in Nova's cape since there didn't seem to be any reason to go into it. I never did find the adamantite ore for the blacksmith but maybe I didn't look around enough. I ran into a few issues though. The first was minor, the description of emma's priestess outfit was "a pair of Tessa's sexy panties." After that I hit an issue with the equipment I gave the NPCs vanishing both between missions and when I revived them after death. This cost me both of the rings of courage I had for tessa and emma which made the fights just a bit more difficult. As a suggestion, make a script that removes their items to a chest in a room and returns them between missions/during death. That way this problem should be out of the way. I also have to say that neither Baxton nor Emma were all that effective in combat, but that is an issue with NWN not so much with the module. Emma's spell selection should have been different than what it was with Healing and Sun domains. She was remarkably useless as a healer. Baxton was not so effective in combat due to a overall low AC and hitpoints. I would not mind also getting the NPCs with somewhat better supplies in terms of healing potions, arrows and the like. Overall the combat seems ok. The guantlet I had to do twice since I failed a saving throw the first time. Based on the ending of Gladiatrix I picked up blindfighting and iron will as feats but still fighters have a low will save. The fights on the way to the enemy base were quite hard, but that is more to do with the NWN party engine than the design of the module. For the most part this module has the best balanced combat I've seen in a long time (I play under hardcore rules). When I saw the beblith I have to admit I started laughing, and my character pulled out her bow...baxton ended up naked and poisoned. Unfortunately the last few parts of the module cost me 6 charges of the resurrection wand, but again that is due to the inability to manage your party in combat. I ended up just letting them die due to needing to save the last few heals for Terie. But since tessa was armed with a bow if I could have moved her she would not have died. Had Emma used combat casting she would not have gotten hit multiple times trying to cast and so on. But these are all NWN engine issues rather than combat balancing issues. It is worth the time if the adult themes don't disturb you in my view, as the module is very well done. I was also exceptionally thankful that a certain person survived a harrowing experience unscathed.

Thanks for getting the word out Thirdpres! It's exciting to see another adult series in development that looks so promising. I wouldn't have known about it without your post. _________________________ Fame and fortune await in the midst of treachery and danger in this epic module: Gladiatrix The dark temptations of Nova's Cape threaten to cast a shadow over your soul: Gladiatrix II - In the Shadows of Darkness

FallynRayne. I saw your post on Lamb's "Demonheart" blog page. Good advice. I'm sure Lamb will enjoy reading your feedback and thoughts. 8)

DOh. Demonheart is in development. I read a blog for it. Do a google search for it if you're interested. There's a lot of interesting stuff and hard work having gone into it from what I've seen.

Weird, my last post was eaten. Let's see if this works. I wanted to actually finish this module and vote on it, instead of voting off the beta version I played earlier in the year. Thanks and good stuff. I also noticed a new NWN module called Demonheart that fans of the Gladiatrix and A Dance with Rogues series will likely enjoy.

Just finished this module. Once again, this is why i still have NWN1 installed. I had a great time playing Gladiatrix. This series, along with "A Dance with Rogues" ones are the best NWNN modules of fantasy erotica genre i ever encountered in the Vault. FallynRayne, i must sincerely thank you for your effort on giving us this gem. I know you have a blog to keep us updated about the third module. I'll check it out once in a while because i can't wait to play your next work.

A very enjoyable module. I enjoyed it even more than the first. You make good use of custom content. The underwater scene at the beginning was very good. Your story pacing is still good. You have made great strides since the previous module. You have smaller spaces that are much less spartan. Your dialogue is getting better with some choices for the character and you have created a few interesting moral dilemmas for the character. However, I have a few issues. The first is that you do not respect henchmen gear. By that I mean I loaned rings of courage to my henchmen for fighting dragons and mummies. However, after the cave scene with the priestess, she lost her ring of courage. It looks like you created a new copy of her. It was particularly an issue since not only did I lose the ring, but then she also stood around during two fights doing nothing because of the fear effect. After the climatic battle, it looks like you created new copies of the henchmen as well and I lost all of the other gear I lent them. Very irksome. The second issue I have is that you take agency away from the character. It is one thing to have a linear story, but you need to at least preserve the illusion of character agency. The primary example of this is in the academy during the scene concerning mind-affecting spells. The character has no meaningful choices here. You force her into a situation and then extricate her from it without anyway for the character to act on her own behalf. To add insult to injury, you create a dialogue point that implies the character can pass a will save. However, there is no actual Will save and thus it deepens the sense of railroading. I would recommend that you go back and study ADWR to see how character agency can be preserved even when driving a character toward a certain encounter. The example I am thinking about is the bandit castle. The whole point of the castle is to introduce Anden as an NPC. However, the player can tackle the challenge in several different ways and even if she gets put into the most compromising position she has options to extricate her self with minimal Deus Ex Machina on the part of the author. This lack of agency leads back to my first issue. Because you constantly jump the character from one point to another you never give them the option to adjust to events such as henchmen dismissal. You constantly change the characters clothing and weapons which create disconcerting effects which break game flow as the player has to stop and readjust them to meet the current situation. This also creates strange dialogue options such as after the character survives the gauntlet she is forced by dialogue to reveal things to the villains that an intelligent character would not reveal. The whole infiltration of the mage tower seemed forced and was probably the weakest part of the story since it robbed the character of agency throughout it. It did not play to the strong suits of the character that came from part 1. The story would have been more logical as a rescue the infiltrator that hasn't reported back instead of trying to force a warrior to be come a wizard. However, overall the module was enjoyable and I look forward to the next in the series.
