In the heart of the elven isle of Evermeet, the Dreamer awakes. The world as you knew begins to change and the elves' once peaceful sanctuary has become a battlefield. The destiny of this fair land and perhaps the world rests in your hands. This is the sequel to Dreamcatcher 3 - Pit of Stars and the end of the Dreamcatcher campaign. Note: This has been updated for SoU. You will need the latest hak pack to play properly.

Some good, some bad, some ugly. Slightly better than Skyfall but still fell short. Again, I played it twice with both characters I completed part 3 with (a monk and a sorcerer) but enjoyed the module with neither. I had to reload way to many times due to poor design decision (e.g. insta-death effects with no save), bugs or scripts issues (e.g. trying to get some sleep after speaking to the queen or laying an ambush and waiting forever for the enemy to show) and poor combat balance in many areas.
3-4: It is clear the author tried to make something interesting, but still fell short. With more work it might be worth the download.

Awesome module, love the NPCs and dialog - laughed every time I saw a reference to Bobo, by the end of it. Thanks for a great game!

Spectacular series...both Shadowlords and Dreamcatcher...I've played these before and I'm having an issue right near the end before the final battle I never got before...
***Spoiler***
my character can walk through the trigger that takes him to the "dream school", arrives and talks with miss teacher, then arrives back where he was without any sword...so unfortunately I'm stuck with no sword...anyone know how to spawn this sword on my own so I can finish the mod? _________________________ *+_Charos_+*

This is really a vote for the whole Dreamcatcher campaign.
I haven't a clue how Adam did many of the things in this mod: the Elven soldiers were a great idea, although they didn't survive a certain druid; the Dragons were a blast & one of the most original things I've ever done in NWN; finally, the "Polymorph to Cow" arrows were fantastically entertaining - causing lots of otherwise difficult & dangerous monsters to look a bit embarrassed shortly before being easily carved up for steaks!
And who's this Bobo with his nice, firm buttocks?
Had a great time playing a Druid/Shifter/Barbarian along with a friend's Shadowdancer, finishing the Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher series at L12.
IMHO well deserves the high votes. _________________________ Finding creative uses for D&D spells since 1983

Ending it on a war not so fun. The idea of using scouts interesting if only they wouldn't get killed all the time. Hard to get them into ambush position quickly enough. Wars do not good role-playing make. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

I don't know, I didn't like Dreamcatcher that much. Sorry guys, it just didn't float my boat much. I felt...bored. Very Linear, but mostly the shortness and repetive actions seemed to bore me the most. Maybe I shall play through the entire series again, but with noodle and his evil comments, maybe that will fulfil the hole. _________________________ Oh yeah! i loved this mod. always thought that Bioware sold Aribeth short and never gave her a second chance. thanks, Poecile (sorry if i spell this name wrong)for doing what so many of us thought should have been done.

Bah! I've played through Shadowlords and DC 1-3, but when I try to play DC 4 the game crashes on me while unpacking the module. Any known way round this? I'm running NWN v 1.67 with both official expansion packs installed.

While each of the modules in this series has been wonderful, DC4 frankly blew me away.
After a reunion with your companion (nothing romantic for me- I've opted for the "male bonding" path with Nooble) and debriefing with the Queen, you land in yet another of your now-famous vivid dreams. While having demonic opponents in a mod is nothing new, the tasks proposed by each of them were quite different from the usual (e. g., at one point you ask riddles instead of answering them). Another moment in your character's dream invokes memories of the adventure, PLANESCAPE: TORMENT.
Then you wake up, and things get really weird...
Yet another innovative first for me in a NWN mod: The chance to lead a group of soldiers (in this case, elves). It was definitely a challenge to keep these troops alive throughout my entire journey- but it was most satisfying to be able to do so (and- hint, hint- most rewarding as well).
Indeed, finally reaching Lakeside Keep and moving on to recon and destroy missions seemed almost mundane by comparison. Even so, the missions at the keep were nice diversions leading up to the final confrontations with Archmage Earind (remember him?) and the Dreamer.
(SPOILER: Incidentally, battling with the Archmage isn't difficult at all. In fact, it's poossible to defeat him without even facing him. As for the Dreamer, one means of defeating him was provided earlier in the course of the series- and another one is provided here, just before the big event.)
In short, DC4 is one of the most innovative modules I've ever played. Between the chance to lead an army of elven soldiers, a plethora of custom items, and some of the funniest dialogue I've ever seen in a module, it held my attention to the last moment. Even better: given the many henchmen matchups available (only some of which provide romantic options), the entire Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher series has a fair amount of replay value... _________________________ NWN: Shifter Expanded Classes hak, GLWizard Spell Pack

I've got the same problem as the last poster- what is 'alia' and where can I find it? When I chose the option to export at the end of the mod, export without the dreamcatcher inventory stuff, it didn't work- so when I put my guy in a different mod, when he goes to a merchant, the game crashes out.

"Fixed" the problem by using Alia to edit the .sav file and removed all the SL and DC specific items.

I just finished Shadowloards and Dreamcatcher and thought it was great. One problem though. I'm playing HoTU with the same character and now NWN crashes when I am viewing the inventory of the chest that contains my stolen stuff. Any suggestions on how to fix this--is there a way to edit a .sav file or modify the contents of chest?

Excellent. Adam Miller has demonstrated just how powerful the Aurora engine is, and how far it can be stretched, with this interesting module that adds RTS elements.

the module is good with many promising ideas. being the commander of elven troops sounds nice...but in reality ordering them around is a bit difficult. the pacing at the end of the module seems rushed, especially the assualt on the summer palace. the final plot is good...but not very clear how the other dreamlord manipulate you. that's a plot hole i think.
