RAT is designed to allow remote administration of your NWN Server. It has many features such as: Restarting your server if it crashes. Lets your remote admins restart your server with any command line settings, easily. Uses a database to keep track of all of the servers you admin as well as the modules on each of them. Save Game features. You can now remotely backup your saved games and reload them. Custom naming, etc... Complete logging of what commands are sent to the RAT server as well as password protection for security. Many other features, give it a shot.
Will there be an updated version to reflect 1.59 soon? Mostly interested in the allow lvls to 40.

Server Admin Password if memory serves was never fully implemented...my understanding was that had Bioware finished it's implementation odds are something like RAT may never have had to be written. I guess a 3rd interface in Neverwinter would have been included to allow you to admin someone's server after linking it through Gamespy for example...this is all conjecture as I mentioned it's my memory we're going off of.

I downloaded this because I thought it was going to give my DM's the BootBan ability and perhaps the ability to restart the server with the exact same settings at the push of a button, instead, it would give them abilities I never wanted them to have, like the ability to choose the Module and what have you. I'm sorry, I really dont mean to trash talk a program that I'm sure you spent a good amount of time writing, but does anyone have any suggestions. P.S. does anyone know what that "Server Admin Password" does in the NWN Dedicated server application, I have'nt found a use for it anywhere on the net.

ROFL, I answered my own question kindof...at least if the server box in question is a W2k server you can just logon with multiple terminal sessions and run RAT Server under one and various other server monitors or RAT servers under the other terminal sessions :)

This program is very cool, but I can't seem to get it to handle multiple servers running on my single box. Is there a way to do this? I've tried getting one server to run with this and the others to run with NWMan or NWNProcMon, but the RAT if started afterwards will grab one of the existing servers and hose everything up! Aside from that it's awesome :)

MANDOS! Hey can't you just go ahead and use the command line switch -port 5122 ??? I run 5 copies of server this way and the ports MUST be correct or poeple would be sent all over heck! Just a though good luck. XE

Awesome program! My persitant world appreciates this ability. Only question is, any word on the next version coming out? The one where it will reload last module loaded? That added feature, in my opinion, is all this puppy needs to be perfect. Thanks for a great product!

Great piece of gear - a lifesaver! I have one beef/request so far - my nwplayer.ini specifies port 5121 (I have two boxes each running a server behind the same firewall, one on 5121 and one 5122). But RAT starts up my first server with 5122 so I end up with two servers on 5121! Is there a way in the default setting to specicy the port, like you do "-module " could you put in a space and then "p-port 5121" ?

Ohh and also the possibillity to write server messages with the Rat Client would be good, and the ability to kick, ban, boot players, all in all it could be good if all the features which are in the orginal server setup screen should be added to Rat Client... if possible though

This program is absolute Suberb!!! Now i can connect and control the server remotely, however I've seached the web thin to see if there was a monitor for the servers too, so that you will be able to see what people are talking about. Makes it a lot easier to avoid shouting and you dont have to log on every once in a hour to see if all the players are behaving.. Would it be possible to add this feature to the Rat Client and server program?? Also the private messages, it annoys me that i cant see those while logged in as dm. Thanks For a really helpfull program!! Koudelka-Dk Dm/Admin on "World Of Homora" a new and prominsing Rpg Server :D
