This is NW Portrait Manager 4.0 Final Version. The most major addition is the ability to move NWN portraits in and out of the Portraits directory into a storage folder you specify. You can also Que Portraits for download.
I just got pointed to this by a fellow project team member... spiffy! One feature I would *love* to have is a config option that looks at a particular URL path, and then optionally downloads any protraits needed to play on a particular server. Kind of like what you've done for the Vault, but not so global-- just for a server.Carpe Terra, Project Lead carpeterra.com

Ok in the version I'm working on I have added Min Max buttons got it scaling correctly. I have also added a storage directory which allows you to quickly move NWN Portraits out of you NWN portrait folder and into you storage folder (and back again). I have add the ability to rate your portraits (1-10) and sort by your rating. I have changed the internal file formats so all the file paths are relative so you can copy and move the entire NW Portrait folder around on your hard drive with out it spitting the dummy. This also allows you to change where the thumbnails are kept, they no longer have to be in the subdirectory \Thumbnails. I'll test this version over this week and put it up this weekend. If you have anything else you want me to add now is the time.

Hmm ok I have some secreen rezz code lying around here some where, Ill give it a whirl and see how it looks. The path to your Portraits directry is stored in the ini file in the application directory, as stated in the docs. I also want to add the facility for a storage directory to allow you to quickly move portraits into and out of you NWN portraits folder. so look for an update soonish. Garlaxel

Okay- I'll agree with the general *neato* factor, but I've got some unhappiness here, too- No min/max buttons? It's set to a screen res that's too high, and won't adjust, so I have to turn everything else on my screen microscopic, just so it'll fit on my screen. (If I could adjust it's window size, that wouldn't be an issue, of course. *S*) It has no options whatsoever. It asked me once where my Portraits directory was, then I had no way to change or reset it, which would be awfully handy, as I'm running multiple networked PCs. Other than those things, posatively nifty! Any chance any of that'll be changing?

Felicia, If you don't have a Portraits folder then your install was not done properly. That folder contains ALL portraits for NWN itself. I'd suggest that you move any modules, etc that you installed and then uninstall it. Once that's done, do a reinstall and let it do the defaults, which should be something like C:\NeverwinterNights. You should then be able to find that folder. The 50-50-90 Rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability that you'll get it wrong!! _________________________ We are all born ignorant, but one must work to remain ignorant. definately need some details on what it does, I for one would love a system which can rename the image folder to say 'master-portraits' and then copy all of the portraits needed for the bic files in my localvault into a new portraits folder. I have several thousand portraits, and loading them all up every time I want to re-make a character is insane :)

Yes my friends just told me this was happening this weekend. I had a quick look at a fix but it would seem the master portrait list on the vault is broken in some manner. I have traced the links though using a normal browser and the are definatly broken. I'll send an E-Mail to maximus and see if I cant fix it.
