This program convert 'The Sims 2' face model to NWN head model. I.e. your pers can have any face now. Besides that the program may export anyone data in 3DS-format. What's new in v.1.1: -fixed a bug with [Extract(SIMS2PACK -> PACKAGE)] code; -added a opportunity to add the own models and textures of hair.

This program is totally legal to use. BusterCrab used several different names as he ignorantly harassed anyone on the vault he could about copyright without knowing what he was talking about or having any legal right to ask them pulled, he wasn't a lawyer for any of these companies, and was just harassing developers in an effort to feel self-important by attempting to push other people around. The makers of sims dont care about modding, in fact they encourage it, the only thing thier EULA doesnt allow is charging money for creations made using thier tools or ingame content.
If you make a head in Sims2 or find a cool one somone made, there is no reason you cant legaly convert it as long as you credit the original artist.
Hello, my name is Alex and I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful
tool. I've been able to create a great head for NWN using the head
converter and I would like a matching hair to go with that, but I
can't understand how to do it.
In your latest post, I have been able to follow the
steps up until the part:
5) Copy to clipboard Instance this hair
6) Click on Geometric Data Container and paste into Instance filter
from clipboard
How am I supposed to copy the instance, and where exactly do I paste
it? I can't really understand...
Also, in the readme, I can't understand how to do these two steps:
-open MDL in the 3DSMax (or gmax) and make your model by analogy
(must be DANGLYMESH only);
-save as X_yourhair.mdl and X_yourhair.plt (where the X is letter of
a gender ('f' or 'm');
How do you "make your model by analogy"?
And also, the files created in gmax can't be saved to .mdl and .plt
files...only .gmax
I would be very grateful for an answer, and you have done a great job so far.

In order to change number of model it is necessary:
-rename the file (for example pfe0_head001.mdl -> pfe0_head014.mdl);
-open this file in the Notepad;
-go to menu Edit->Replace;
-replace "pfe0_head001" on "pfe0_head014" and click the [Replace all] button;
-save a file.
And number must be > 012 (if file in the override folder)

hi!
I have a problem converting heads, even with the sample packages you provided, the result is always a good model with a grotesque texture on it, like: theres a huge eye on the hair etc., however i could make one good head a few months ago so im wondering what am i doing wrong now?, maybe 1.66 patch broke something? (i usually rename the mdl @ plt to end with 009, copy them to override and test it in a simple, non hak module, theres also nothing else in the override...), otherwise im very happy with this app its truly amazing !

Oops
i think the problem is gone.
When i start SimPE, it said there is a problem about a xml file or something....and ask me choose 'YES' to renew it or 'NO' to remain it, then i choose yes and the head model become normal now.
Before that, i downloaded a older version of SimPE(0.27 i think) to see if it work better than the SimPE v0.40b

Posted by Anonymous ( 210.6.xxx.xxx ) at 2005-07-02 07:36:27
This utility is great but I have the problem same as Oenone.
Posted by Taina ( 212.57.xxx.xxx ) at 2005-07-01 11:38:34
But in the Internet you may find much sims made by others.
Posted by Taina ( 212.57.xxx.xxx ) at 2005-07-01 11:30:11
TS2BodyShop utility will not work without The Sims 2 game because uses the game data for modelling.
Posted by Anonymous ( 210.6.xxx.xxx ) at 2005-07-01 02:25:32
Can i just install The Sims2 BodyShop in order to convert the head?
finding it in this very moment, I could not believe it, hope it works!!
