This handy utility takes all the headaches out of converting images for use as Custom Portraits within NWN. Simply converts the required bitmap, Jpeg or Portable-Net-Graphic (.PNG) file at the click a button! Full instructions are included. Just unzip the files and folders from the .zip archive and place them as they are into the root NWN directory. more details can be found in the 'ReadMe.txt. file within the .zip!
it leaves blotches on my files.. white ones... and its a bit fiddly.. 5.75/10

Interesting, hateBunny. It sounds like the problem is with the converted portraits. Are you still able to use the standard portraits without it crashing? Are you using very large images? Perhaps if you could email me a copy of one of your original images, I might be able to identify the problem. Thanks for letting me know, sorry I haven't got a solution for you as yet.

I'm finding that this program puts the portraits in to the correct folder, and they show up in NWN when I'm creating new characters, but when I press OK, after selecting the portrait, the game crashes. Any ideas?

Hi, sorry I didnt reply sooner. Glad you figured it out. From v1.61, you should be able to browse the entire drive to find your pictures. The default folder where browsing starts is the install directory of the Converter (which SHOULD be the NWN folder)

Ok I figured it out - note that there's nothing in the read me about putting the photos you want to use into your NWN directory before starting. Once we figured that out, it worked great.

I downloaded this with high hopes but, sorry, I just don't get it. The read me file wasn't much help. I have a portraits folder with nothing in it - where are these images supposed to come from that I use? I'm confused.
