She's lovely! Though I agree with the impracticality of her armor, I love the way her body is portrayed. She actually looks like she's got enough bulk to her to survive a fight, not like some of the wisps I've seen in these portraits ;)

I really love the art style. This is a great portrait. The only thing is that the bare midriff thing kinda detracts from her face, where I think the focus should be. If she was wearing something that covered her belly, then I would have given her a 10. Great Job!

I think the pants look a bit shiny to be jeans. I think they look a bit like leather, personally. Very nice, I think. As for the armor... aren't archers supposed to stay away from melee combat? Just a thought. I'll be using her, sankyuu~ ^__^

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 35 that made this score of 8.30 then rounded to 8.

Hehehe, don't forget about that lock of hair.. that's
gonna hurt if she fires..
other than those silly imperfections in her pose, the
portrait looks good.

i'm gonna feel sorry for that poor girls arm when she releases that arrow.

You sometimes have to wonder about the effectiveness of that elven mithril chain, it can't protect what it don't cover. Anyhow great work.

Wow..

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'll try to keep up the good work. As far as comments on perspective and paint-overs - yes it is a paint-over, so the complements on achieving the perspective aren't necessarily well-deserved in this instance - the photo provided the perspective. I do make a living as an illustrator though, so for those of you who gave me compliments on it, rest assured, I can draw perspective pretty well.
Tiger-Thanks for all the reviews. I'll keep shooting to get that eagle!

something to consider about the bow angle.
the arrow.
that's presumably a hunting arrow (vertical blades)
vs. humanoid target at Close range you'd hold the bow like that to bypass the ribs for a lung or heart shot.
kinda careless to let those long locks of hair to cross over the bowstring though. what happens when she looses? :)
nits aside, well executed painting.

Your artwork just gets better and better. I swore this one was an official bioware preview, by then I looked closer and in my opinion it's better. you have a lot of talent. keep up the good work. (the pant's do look kind of blue-jueanish, though the top is ok in my opinion. it's just mithril chainmail, that's all...

OH NO! The sanctity of a video game website has been defiled by a "paint-over"! wouldn't want anyone to get praise they haven't earned, would we? Get over yourself, julia.

What perspective? He painted over someone!

Aside from the odd way she is holding the bow, very good portrait. Great art.

just had to say i love this portrait.great stuff.

I love this. The perspective you have is not an easy thing to pull off. You need to check the mechanics of using a bow though.

Wow, very nice ;)
But as some said, it appears to be using jeans hehe
Still, one of the best portraits I haveever seen on the vault =)

this is you best yet!-left cheekbone is a little odd and the knife handle..oh well i guess its a stylistic thing. anyway, this is really great.(kudos on bow and arm perspective)

Well done, but it kinda looks like she's wearing denim jeans and a tank top. Perhaps a more "period" look for the costuming next time?
