I rarely find portraits to download because I'm so picky (I've downloaded about half a dozen total in the past year), but I absolutely love this one. It's one of my favorites. Her breasts look natural and young to me, if they were sitting up higher or pointing upward more, they'd look fake. But I guess personal preference - I hate fake.

Thanks guys. As far as the breasts go, it's based on a photo, so if they look droopy, then they are droopy. Afterall, they haven't invented silicone yet in the Realms. Although I'm sure some clever mage has devised some spells that can do the trick (which would explain some of the portraits here on the vault!)

Dammit! Now I'm going to have to recreate my sorcerer again, why couldn't Bioware add a customize button for post creation changes(sigh).
Great work by the way.

Listen dude i'm a great dan of all ur pics, i love them, just a note on this one, the chest area may need to be enhanced, (no i'm not being childish and campaigning that she should have bigger breasts) bu that they need to look real, not, well droppy.

A real crowd-pleaser (can't get enough pretty elf girls)! Nice image--great technique, nice color. Good work again!

Very nice work. Although your portraits are based on photos (I don't care for poor photoshop work) you have a unique and consistant style which give them personality and life and shows your talent as an artist. You also have a knack for finding really excellent source photos. :-) This one in particular...lovely hair detail and great painting job on the face. I agree with G'windinel about the tip of the ear... needs a little more saturation to match the rest of the skin lighting? I wish I had the time to produce as many good portraits as you have been able to! Looking forward to your next one!

I absolutely love portraits like this where you can see some sort of history in their eyes. She has personality and character. She looks quite like she was orphaned and living on the streets for a while, trying to get by with whatever means she could. Excellent for the roguish fate heroes I often play. Thanks for this one.

Exceptional detail. The ear tip is not quite right but the subject matter is great. One of your best (and a lot of work went into it at a guess.)
Looking forward to the next.

I've been around this site for quite some time and have found it best to just completely ignore the bashers and trashers like jerkboy. Don't give ANY response! Most of them are just looking for the attention they desperately crave and probably don't get in their pathetic lives. Usually if you don't respond at all to their posts they just go away and be an annoyance elsewhere. And to Oh I C, yes it's okay to say you don't like a portrait but some of his comments on other portraits are just plain rude and uncalled for. There's a diffence between expressing opinions and plain out bashing!

I'm sure everyone's heard the old saying..."Opinions are like butts..." Certainly, you're entitled to your opinion, but there's a difference between intelligently voicing one's opnion and being snide and sarcastic.
Myself, I like it. She looks sweet, but a little exasperated...like she's saying "Yes?" with just a touch of exasperation.

Expressionless and rigid with pointy ears that make her an "elf." For a second there I thought someone had uploaded a shot from a Victoria's Secret catalog.
ISJerk may have used the wrong artist for a comparison, but I agree with his other comments. Oh, and those are HIS opinions. He (or she) is entitled to them, no? Just like someone is entitled to say "Hey, I love this." Well, I don't. My opinion.

Mentos has some ok additions, but no, Mentos didn't create those. Nor do they fit in with the style of the portraits in the game, for what that's worth. I prefer portraits that are not Spawn or Drizzt or some clear ripoff of pre-existing characters, or something that looks like an uber-killing machine -- kinda tough to start at first level with that. More importantly, he doesn't credit the original artists. Oh, and Jerk? Every NWN portrait is actually a model that was modified digitally. e.g. Sharna is Catherine Zeta Jones.
Anyway, this is awesome work. In fact, I think this one is the closest to BW portrait style that I've seen yet. It's legible in all sizes and has definite personality. Keep up the excellent work.

To Mr. Jerk: There are lots of people on the vault who actually love this style in portraits, counting myself, whatever your personal opinion must be. Ashlander's portraits are amongst the ones which get the most downloads, so that should tell you something.
And lazy?? Ashlander puts a lot of work into his/her portraits, it's clear you have no idea of what you are talking about.
Keep up the good work Ash, it's much appreciated :)

The choice of neckline is, well, interesting and impractical for, say, a mosquito infested marshland, but the overall quality is excellent and the style close enough to the original as to remain in line with official portraits.

um...InsensetiveJERK, Mentos doesn't do the portraits, he finds art off the net and merely crops them for your use. nothing wrong with that, but your making an unfair comparison.
i like this portrait, the clothing is good, and the rest is really well done, too. this could have many uses.

I love people who have nothing better to do than flame other creators. This portrait is very good, excellent for either an NPC or PC. Please keep them coming.
Posted by InsensetiveJERK ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-29 07:30:00
Bleh...another bland picure of some fashion model clogging up the portrait section so that we can't find any really good portaits. You want to see some good portraits, look at Mentos' last two posts. OH MY GOD they are so good and this is so bland. So go back to the drawing board and find something to post other than fashion models with pointy ears 'paint-shopped' on. Lazy.

Like reals said: excellent job on the hair and the skin tones! I like this portrait, it's simple and clean. Lol, I fear for her in battles though, I'm afraid something might fall out :D

Great portrait, once again a really cool outfit.

Very good. She could use a little more shadow on her torso, but its nothing. Good. :)
