This is crazy. Thinking of the portrait i made of Apricane a while ago, and seeing this now. Its crazy. I cant believe I actually made this. Man! This is by far the best portrait I have made! Notice the silver hairs in his beard.. Crazy. Please, leave a comment. :) And enjoy this portrait!

Great works, Apricane. Portraits fit well to the theme of Age of Wonders theme. Very nice for wizards and heroes! One guy just asked me telephone number of the gal... yours Luna. I suggested him to ask her farther - you. :)

He looks very lifelike, the beard is very realistic indeed.
Reminds me of a less harsh Obi Wan Kenobi...
Just one point of criticism...
His glasses don't distort his face. The shadow under his lower eyelid just continues in the glasses and that's not natural when you look at the discoloration caused by his spectacles.
You would expect a greater magnification if the glasses are so thick. Or are they milky from lots of scratches?
At his age he must either have eaten an enormous amount of carrot's or his genes are kind toward his eyesight :P

It's a player portrait, looks good to me. I think player portraits come in a variety of flavors, life-like, cartoonish, anime...

very nice work....my favorite of yours yet. the beard is a little flat (the beard should have a "darker" side to fit with the shaded portion of his face), but i like the technique. it looks exceptionally great at the smaller sizes....good stuff.
Oh Apricane! This is very nicely done. Just enough brushwork to make it painted without losing the details or the quality of the lighting. I DO like what you did with the beard! You're still a *teensy* bit weak on the clothing yet, but it is a definite improvement. I'd like to see more definition where the shoulder is against the background, just make that line a little crisper to match the same crispness on the ear. (Sorry I've not been around in a while. I've been working on my own website and doing some other art that is non-NWN-portrait related. But I've got some stuff in the works.)

I think I agree this is your best one. The beard is very good, and you even have some nice texture in the clothing. Good job! The rims of the glasses look a little flat, though. You might want to try darkening the edges a bit more. The glass part is good.
