Had difficulty with the lightning on this one, had to work a lot on it. A merge of several images, I think it turned out quite good. Better than the last attempt to make armor at least >_<
I really like him. Finally a fighter who looks like he can fight!! Excellent. Particularly like the face and the armor. A+++ Perfect 10.

What I meant by the armor clashing with the face is that it appears that you may have used a watercolor (or something similar) filter on the armor to give it a "painted look" (commonly used...and badly sometimes...). The face lacks this look... Look closely to the really shiny part of the armor (detailing). It's a little ... blotchy? I'm not sure what word is appropriate here. Also, in addition to the blotchy-ness (oh boy...love my vocab tonight), the armor has a strange grainy, streaky quality on the neck area. The skin doesn't match up for me. You're under no obligation to listen to any of my babble, of course. You say you like critique, so I've offered it. Good luck on the next patch of portraits.

Very good. Almost there - I think (for what I like anyway) it could use a LITTLE more of a painted look in the face, and a little more work on the right shoulder plate (looking at the photo, not from the eyes of the model). Well done.

I don't think you should change the face, I for one think it's great just as it is. And I don't think it clashes with the armour either whatever Paraxen meant by that. It's shiny metal, of course it stands out compared with the skin :p"Light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak"

Apricane, ignore those who give low votes for great work. If you check their history, you will notice that they usually have contributed nothing to the community, and only give high votes to portraits that are nothing more than cropped pictures stolen off the net from other sites. I'm going to email you a list of links to sites where you can find decent source material for armor and such. Hopefully you will find satisfactory armor parts in them. I've found that pasting the armor over itself in a layer that is 22% opacity, then using smart blur and crosshatch or angled brush strokes will produce a good base in which to start. :)"Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!

Paraxen- I have only used two filters (which i used on the whole portrait), and the healing brush on this one. There is no filters to crash. As for the lightning, I think its fine. Maybe ill adjust the background, but the armor is definately brighter on the right side and darker to the left, as his face is. Im satisfied with his face, so I wont change that :) Thanks for the suggestions though :)
