Description
*** Requires Nwn 1.66, and all released expansions (SoU, HotU, and CEP 1.52) ***

You can enthrone the god or goddess of your choice in absolute glory! Whether
you've just arrived after passing into the light, or if you are just visiting
on an epic outer-planar or out-of-body journey, the Heavenly Court is truly an
awe-inspiring place... of otherworldly majesty. You've been through all of the
lower planes until now you know them by heart; so now... it's time to ascend to
a place where few adventurers have ever tread... and that even fewer builders have ever attempted to depict: the most sacred hall of Heaven itself. Behold...
Architecture is an interesting blend of both eastern and western cultures so as to be a suitable dwelling-place for any divine beings from all myths and every faith! Those familiar with the book of Revelation will be equally pleased to see depicted here the Seven Lampstands, the Rainbow around the Divine Throne, the 24 Seats, and the floor being like unto glass, or crystal, as some Bible translations have it. Compare now the following verses, and see how close:

Revelation 4:1 - "I looked, and, behold: a door was opened in heaven!"
*** The doors I placed at the entrance to the Temple Divine represent this. ***

Revelation 4:3 - "There was a rainbow round the throne, in colour like unto an emerald in sight of the throne."
*** The colored light shafts and magic sparks produce the effect exactly. ***

Revelation 4:4 - "Round about the throne were four and twenty seats."
*** You can find all of these spread out before the throne, all usable. ***

Revelation 4:5 - "Out of the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices: and there were seven lampstands of fire burning before the throne, the seven Spirits of God."
*** I found the perfect sound effects for the lightning, thunder, voices...
it's set up for magic chants to sound the closer you get to the throne, in fact! Standard candelabra placeables, with flames high above them did the trick for the seven lampstands and the seven Spirits. It looks convincing! ***

Revelation 4:6 - "And before the throne there was a sea of glass like crystal."
*** The very reason picked the tileset that I did to represent this place was that the Frozen Wastes have the crystal looking walls and floor. But the Wastes have probably never been used for any interior setting like this before! ***

Revelation 5:1 - "At the right hand of him that sat upon the throne: a book sealed with seven seals."
*** That big book on the pedestal, to the right (your left) of the throne is intended to represent this book. ***

You can see the accuracy with which I have designed this prefab, and I truly
hope players and builders alike will appreciate the fine attention to detail
in even the little things that all make this prefab a place worth visiting.

Package contains an .erf ready to add into any CEP-compatible module, and a demo module as well, so you can see how everything is set up in-game.

Where does the .erf file go?

Simply amazing! Very true to the descriptions in The Book of Revelations. While reading other peoples comments I came to 2 conclusions. 1 you can't blame a guy because CEP has no angel status. 2 some of the people who don't believe in Christianity seem to be afraid of children coming in contact with Christianity and other religious beliefs. Why are some people so afraid of religion?

Very cool. I could see a awesome boss fight taking place here. It reminded me Ninja Gaiden area where one took place.

tamerin33, big thanks for the vote of 10.00 and of course for the praise! I believe I can help with how I would go about designing such a tower as you are trying to build... in my most recent prefab, Kali-Yuga the Lost, I designed an island "floating" in a chasm in the plane of Limbo. How I achieved the end effect was by using the forest tileset and working it over with placeables. Why the forest tileset? Becase it has the one thing necessary for conveying depth: pits! And it has something else useful, too: ruins. Now the desert and underdark tilesets also have pits and ruins, but for me I was looking for an overgrown look that only the forest tileset can provide. If you are curious to see the results, have a look over at the prefab I made. Again, it's called Kali-Yuga the Lost. Now, had I wanted to place the island I made in mid-air, or in the sky, I would have made it a lot smaller than 16x16. Probably more of an 8x8 project. Why, you may ask? Because, to simulate it being in the sky I would have needed to place the large fog placeables that come in CEP into the pits, up near the line of the ground but perhaps one point below it, to simulate the ground being near the cloudline. It would have taken a great deal of the fog, to achieve the final effect, but I could probably have made quite the "flying island" as opposed to just a "floating" one using this easy technique. I opted not to with my isle because I wanted something larger and more near the earth than that. But for your tower, this technique would work perfectly if you use it with the forest tilset. Why the forest tileset? Because you want to simulate pieces missing and nothing simulates that better than the ruins. I have been experimenting lately quite extensively with these ideas for my own use, and the large fog placeable system is the best one for anything up in the clouds. Perhaps, if I get the time, I might even release one of my mid-air concept prefabs to the Vault, as it would be fairly instructive for people to actually SEE this in use, but for now I hope my advice will suffice. Good luck with your mod, and I hope it turns out well.

Chaos giving this a 10.00 the reason is this is an incredible work of art and a true work of genius on your part. I also since you seem to be very experienced in creating some very unique and attractive modules Gotta ask ya for some ideas. I'm trying to create an exterior of an unfallen tower a tower suspended in mid air with peices missing basically and a chancellory for my own mod. any ideas would be appreciated.

Hmm, my text got cut off... the Vault is being mysterious tonight. Lol. Now where was I? Oh yes... a cherubim, and two seraphim (one male and one female) as well as some assorted winged critter and winged being statues of different types. Since such things were mentioned as much in ancient myths and legends as they were in the Bible people could use those placeables for all sorts of mods set in ancient times or on other planes (heavenly or otherwise). Such a pack, I think, would be one of the most useful things to come to the Vault in a long time. But enough dreaming for now... thank you again for the vote, and worry not, I've got more good stuff headed to the Vault soon, so keep a look out.

Thanks very much for the vote, Laughing One! No apologies are necessary; like the saying goes, better late than not at all. As to the matter of the throne, it truly was an extremely tricky matter simply because the descriptions in the Bible were so vague as what exactly it was they were portraying. And, as you wisely pointed out... there is nothing like it in any content out there, not even in any that I've ever seen either. (Wouldn't it be awesome though?) Without real angel statues and the like to work with, I had a heck of a time in the way of making this area even close to what I envisioned in my mind. And, I didn't think having NPC angels walking around would work, simply because there are lots of folks who might want to use this with their own NPCs in it instead. So, I had to compromise as best as I could under the circumstances. I am happy with the results, though, they came VERY close to my original ideas. Angel statues, hmmm... What I think would be THE BEST is if one of the many talented modellers here on the Vault were to come up with a modest set of placeable angel statues. It could contain, say... a cherubim, and two seraphim (one male and one female

Very nice work here, Chaos. It appears that I had forgotten to vote ('til I noticed the 'Missing Votes' header) - my apologies. I really like that you took this theme and turned it into an NwN prefab; VERY gutsy w/ the way things are these days ;) Anyway, I do really like the way it looks in-game. The only minor "issue" I have w/ the visual on the whole is the throne. IIRC, the 'Ophanim' - or throne, if you will - is MUCH different in the KJV Bible. Although I don't believe there is anything akin to what you would in ANY .hak or .erf out there. Nonetheless, I give thee a 9.5! Incidentally... I'm quite susprised that there are no models (or what-have-you) out there allowing creatures/placeables multiple sets of wings; for say... Cherubim/Seraphim/Living Things/Winged Beings/etc... Please, keep up the great works! _________________________ "From down here we can make the whole wall collapse." "Uh... yeah, boss. But how do WE get out?" - Goblin Digging Team

Good to see the postitive comments and votes are still coming in for this. It was, perhaps, my best prefab ever... so I am highly pleased to see that it is being enjoyed by so many. Cheers, all!
