'ALFA Full Subraces' package by Shir'le E. Illios, Chosen of Eilistraee. The enclosed zip file has the script package .erf and the documentation in text format.
Shir'le has done a magnificent job coming up with a comprehensive system for recreating demi-human subraces as per the Forgotten Realm Source Book. Effective Character Level (ECL), racial advantages and disadvantages are in there. You can play a pretty authentic:
DWARF: GOLD
DWARF: GRAY (Duergar)
DWARF: SHIELD
ELF: DARK (Drow)
ELF: MOON
ELF: SUN
ELF: WILD
ELF: WOOD
GNOME: DEEP (Svirfneblin)
GNOME: ROCK
HALF ELF
HALF ORC
HALFLING: GHOSTWISE
HALFLING: LIGHTFOOT
HALFLING: STRONGHEART
HUMAN
HALFDROW
ALFA has borrowed liberally from the general NWN community, and we are glad to share something back.
2004.06.09 A small update that allows the script to be compiled again (renamed some area variables that clashed with BioWare constants).
As of patch 1.31 it seems all subrace scripts are broken due to new scripting functions.

Hey this is a great script I'v been lookin for somethin like this for NWN, I mean since bein able to choose all those subraces in Icewind dale 2 , lol I kinda got used to it. in any case I was wondering if you could include templates like theres templates in the core rulebooks for vampire characters, and then of course tieflings and aasimar I think it would be a GREAT addition thanks alot fer yer time

A number of the problems noted below have been addressed in the updated version I've created for HCR. There is a lot of good discussion on how to use the system and create new subraces in the HCR forums. I recommend you visit them if you're having trouble. I also recommend you make use of the updated version I've created as there are several bugs, some serious in the original version which have been fixed. You can find a link to the file in my signature on the HCR forum. There will be a version here on the vault soon. Most of the discussions are in the Discussion forum although there is a thread or two in the Questions forum as well. Regards, Lorinton

This is a great script!!! Unfortunately, while it's good for the races included and, in theory, it's great for making your own subraces, it doesn't recognize new subraces once you've made them.

Just a couple of feature requests, Firstly the ability to switch features on/off at character levels, this could be done with perhaps having 3 psudo subraces for one real one, each of which is selected for a diferent character level. The other request is for a Damage Vunribilty trait. Great, and I mean GREAT work :)

Got it. Man do I feel dumb. I had disabled 'build module on save' so the scripts weren't being compiled after I made the changes. Don't mind me folks, I'm just your friendly village idiot. ^_^

I'm having the same problem as Eirek below. I've added the new subrace definitions to the sei_subraceslst script file as the included instructions say, I've added the new subraces to the list of enums in the main subraces script file, I've updated the conversation and created scripts to set the new subraces from the conversation if they're not properly detected. But it doesn't seem to be working - the new races aren't detected and even when they're forced via the conversation the values aren't set. Near as I can tell it simply isn't reading in the subrace data that I've created in the sei_subraceslst file. At first I thought maybe I was typing something wrong, so I just copied a full subrace that I know worked, pasted it to the bottom of the listing, and altered it accordingly. Still didn't work. Any ideas?

Shambling, this code is already a part of HCR. Go to the HCR page, then to their forum, and look under the HCR Discussion forum for new HCR releases. As well as a link to a Subrace add-on which includes creature skins. Good stuff!
