This set of scripts will allow you to add persistent housing, persistent placeable furniture, and persistent containers (in the houses) to your gameworld. It uses the bioware DB for data storage, and has been tweaked for optimum performance. The system is quite easy to add to an existing world, there are no heartbeat operations, and data writes only occur when an item is dropped or picked up (in one of the housing areas.) Also, I've done my best to eliminate duping exploits that exist in several other persistent storage systems. Check the readme (included in the zip) for more information and instructions on installation. If you have any questions or comments, go ahead and post them in the comments section, and I'll try to respond promptly. Look at my other scripts to find the CEP addon.
I like this system. I want to know though, is it possible to add a new area in the system? Say you wanted to design the house like a tower instead of a single floored house? _________________________ If you're immortal, what does that make me?

okay downloaded it added to my own fiddly bit and LOVE IT. The CEP addition is a must for anyone using this. It adds a lot of items that if you own a house you just have to have.
Great work. Thanks

I love this addition hunter. Thanks alot. only one issue i have encountered and its not really an issue im sure but more like a lack of knowledge on my end. when i place furniture in a residence. it always seems to point one direction no matter what. Makes everything look rather odd. how does one adjust the direction of placed furniture in a pw? someone mentioned some sort of wand but i cant find any info on it anywhere. hope you reply to this soon.
Hey...love this script. Excellent, and alot of fun to set up your own home. I voted on this a few years ago...was wondering if it works well with CEP2? Dang IGN won't e-mail my password, so I had to make a new name. >( _________________________ myRetroRock.com ROCKS! Link

Housing system is very well done, but installing it breaks several items (oil flask, ox whistle gemcutting tool, etc). I use Ambrosia tradeskill system.

Hi Hunter
We've been running the system on The Turmish Lands for a while now - and I do have a couple of questions.
1. I want to change the persistent database for different servers - I attempted to use the same database between servers, but of course you get the deadlock situation. Where is the database variable stored (I just want to ensure that I get them all !)
2. When are vendors coming out ? Forget NWN2 - its got 1/6th the online population of NWN - just work on your 2.0 version of housing for NWN !!!!!!!
Its still the best darn system out there. Well done.

Since I have no idea how to remove current owner, I will have to lower my vote. Will get higher again when I get to know it. :) _________________________ -Mariska

Nope, no switch there. _________________________ -Mariska
In the test module, there's a switch that will clear out the DB entirely. I believe that someone has made a DM wand which will remove the owner from a house. In the version I was working on, the DM Tool did have an option to remove people.
Yes, I said, "was working on." I have been unable to work on NWN development for a few weeks now. I have a new project that I'm involved with that's taking up most of my time. If I catch a break, I'll package up what I have done with HH and release it, however, due to the new project, I don't think I'll be able to continue development of NWN mods in the future. I may release my questing scripts, though last I checked, they were pretty confusing.

After a while it started to say "Sorry, this location is already taking"Even in the test module...what could be the reason?
I really liked it tho. I hope I get this fixed again :(.
Please help..
