Oh Yea, Im glad i popped in to see if anyone could help or need help, and what do ya know, the script master him self has spoken, and brings good tiding's. I was begining to think i was typing to myself. I'll take this a good omen and contiue working on my mod.
Ps. I know im a noob in the comunity, butt even noobs need feed a little feedback from time to time.
Thank's for the link, butt when I try to DownLode the RAR file from the vault, or from LoME website i get a web page full of machein code, no DL. it's like its exsracting to the webpage I dont know. I do know how to DL and extract files from RAR files, so i dont think the problem is on my end. any help or idea's ? anyone ?

Ps. i forgt dont change the mods name. if you do the DMreset switch wont reset the mod.
IF you want to change the name of the mod and have the reset work, chase it down yourself.

YEA! Iv got this bad boy running on all 10 cylinder's....... :)if I could vote on he working mod, I'd give it a 10+ if i could.
I"d like to repost the working mod i have. So others who might like too play the tutorial and not spend 2 weeks learning how to script could do just that, Play and build not debug. butt im not sure how too post files.
So here's my non_scripter_fixs};

Then, do the same to htf_mod_onenter line 36, build the scripts. Now we have Ruenstone. good next. Ps. this may be redudent, i dont know, im NOT a scriper. it just works, And that's all im going say about that.

This kills the percistancy problems iv had, now you can save and reload, now you wont get striped of inventory items and the HTF wont kill you now becouse now the runestone hasnt been destroid, duplicated or replaced, and thus by defalt reseting the HTF value's.......
//Step 3. wile your in this file turn on/off stuff to suit yourself. iv turned off all the healing stuff becouse it acts like regeneration.
iv turned on DOA gold encumberance, and to get this to work you must open script wrap_mod_onenter And make sure this is in about line 16-17. well at the bottem of the execuables, it only worked for me ther at the bottem. :/
You may have too flip the swithch in the dm controle room in game. :) I love this feature
//step 4 open area oai_reps, open and set the faction reps. All need the (plot ) uncheaked, in the advanced page, some neen there (faction) set to match ther name, some need ther name to match ther tag.

Ok, i still have the area, and i think iv setup faction reps right. common, and hostile where the only ones that needed seting up as far as I can tell. and still no Hostile spawn.
iv got a 2nd version were i have removed the faction rep area and commented out line 373 WhoAmI(); in NW_c2_default9. this is allowing hostile behaveur vers PC's butt not the npc's of any faction .
Im thinking i dont need the custom factions, and am about to rip & tear the OAI scripts out ... AGAIN !

Make sure you still have the "OAI Faction Reps" area. If you remove that area then factions won't work properly and most things won't attack what they're supposed to.

It's great as a tutorial for the systems, and i love the "hall of the gods" all of those switch levers for the DM

I need some HELP. I love this demo/mod, and want to use it as a base/starter mod. i have fix the problem with the runestone in the (htf_mod_onenter) script. now i get the stone when pc spawn's into the game and i still get the HTF text dispay. :)
Butt i still need help getting Hostile's hostile
i mean, i just cant seem to get the bad guy's to act the way there suppost too.
I think it's in OAI sripts, maybie something to do with the custom factions
any and all help is welcome, im not a scriper and am mainly lost.

I have another question now. I am using CNR and was wondering if there was a way to make it so that the tags of food and drink can be changed but still achieve the same effect.
For example, I want to make it so that item A can be eaten but also used in crafting to make item B. The problem is, I need to change the tag so that CNR recognizes it.
Can this be done? Thanks in advance for help!

All I want to use is the HTF system. I only want fatigue to be increased on rest and not any of that other junk.
I've tried just installing the HTF stuff in the package but it doesn't work. I also tried using an older version of HTF I found on the vault by Olander but that was pretty buggy.
Can anyone set me up with JUST the HTF system? I can't use the tutorial module because I am not using CEP and it is just too large for me to use since I'll not be using much of the module.

Hi, I have been working on a mod of my own and I have been following this for some time. I installed all of the last updates posted and when any char logs in the die fom starvation about a minust or two after the join. Is anyone else having this issue? @ Rapiddeployment.... From what I have read its seems you are going to take on and continue developement on this project. Is this still true... If not I have a buddy, he has a bachlers degree in programmuing and he is willing to take on this project as well. Thanks

I have a PW nub question. Tell me if this is related to ORS or to running NWN as a PW in general: When I patch something and load up a new version of my mod onto my server, my players lose their local variables, i.e. they can run any quest that depends on a local var to initialize every time the server is patched. Is there something I can do to make it so that they retain their local vars? Can I back up a database or would that be potentially bad?

@Endoora - While SMetze's World of Darkness lacks anything even closely resembling organization, the concepts are so cool, that I'm intergrating them into my version of ors and making them persist... Which is something SMetze didn't take into account - He (or she) just posted a v2 as an attempt for persistency, but I haven't looked at it yet.... Working hard on what material I have - His scripting style while disorganized compared to ors is just as solid and some of the tricks and gizmos he puts forward are like HOLY COW AWESOME! I just love his representation of perma-death - the PC can come back as a ghost to mess with living players. Tell me thats not cool and I'll laff at ya.
I spent the weekend rewritting it for clarity and organization. Its only a 100 odd script shouldn't take me too long... LOL.

How good is the White Wolf release of Smetze? I mean for a non-scripter a functioning release of the ORS is easy enough to edit and fiddle around with.

With just a quick glance - the os_ system does indeed take in consideration the faction when selecting a target.
So if you edit out the AlignPC function from your version of ors, it will indeed break the os_ system.
Prior to Olander leaving, he posted a series of updates in an attempt to fix everything that was broken. This page here only gives the one. I will post the other two and see if I can't fix the factions. However I can't really give a time frame on this - I got my own project to work on, but far be it from me to leave y'all hanging. @fessuy - let me look- I don't employ the siege equipment, beyond the siege keg- (I like explosions) - I found the whole system to be such a resource hog- Thats why I squarshed mine in the first place.
But I assume that the engines themselves look at each other and determine who is gonna attack what by thier Faction, which is set by AlignPC command. So with that said I'm guessing the factions are required.
I believe the whole reason for the factions in the first place was to make the placeable objkects attack one and other.
This code maybe rewriteable to look at the PCU instead of the faction and made to consider anything that doesn't belong to Player X to be the enemy. I'll have to look - :)

@Red Cobra- actually dude, I never liked that particular component of ors, so I editted it out. Its not really nessecary. As for making it persistent - well, my version of ors is prolly a lot different than your so I'd have to scope around to see, but it is prolly handled in opw_mod_onenter or somewhere there abouts.
Just because Olander believed something to be all important never entered my way of thinking and I've either A. rewritten the stuff I didn't like or B. cut it out root and stem.
@Coolty3000 - Olander left after he embarassed himself after trumpeting ors v3 a little too loudly and released a product that was utterly buggered.
