NWN2 Haze is poised to be the defining element in hardcore roleplay for Neverwinter Nights 2. As a re-imagining of the Hall of Fame awarded Haze, developed by members of the same team and with an additional two years of experience, it will deliver the same strictly enforced high-impact, high-intensity Forgotten Realms roleplay experience.
Employing permanent death and a huge number of custom systems and tweaks, NWN2 Haze offers a whole new kind of gritty, immersive, edge-of-your-seat roleplay that other servers can't deliver. Through a talented team of Dungeon Masters and bold ideas, NWN2 Haze is a world that rewards good roleplay with great fun, and gives characters the opportunity to conquer or fall by their own actions.

I have been playing on Haze 2 for a few weeks now. I am close to addicted. I love the fact that there is no powergaming. The DM's are pretty good, but if you are looking to level up, be warned that this world is not only low magic but low level. There is no xp for killing monsters. So running around the mapping killing everything you see is senseless. Not to mention that it is senseless roleplaying and dangerous in Haze 2. Give it a try if you like roleplaying, don't try it if you want that 20th level magic-user with the ring of unlimited death to all. The world is still in beta stages so there are still bugs.

Haze has flaws. Definitely. Mechanistic ones that I won't bother to elaborate on, since they've been gone over on the forums and here in this comment thread more than enough. But still, Haze is the only Persistant World that I can see that it properly dedicated to actual roleplaying. Players make the world, there are no crappy NPCs or built-in quests, and this is promising enough to me to warrant a high score, even if there are natural downtimes inherent in such a system, where not much is going on.

I found the PW to be well built, from a Builder's perspective; - but from a Player's perspective, I found it lacking. Since it is perma-death, dying after leaving the tunnels, with no gear, was not particularly a good way to inspire fun or the feeling of having fun. On the contrary, it was not fun at all, especially as the only way forwards was through Orcs with ranged weapons. Of course, they killed my hapless first level character. Note that I am not posting this under my ingame name. I think the rating Very Good, deserves a look is warranted here.

There have been creature spawns and NPCs in the world since 1.5 weeks after the initial launch. Clearly you've never logged into the world. _________________________ Link

There is a post by DinosaursInJets who literally lays it out on exactly how I feel. I dont understand why people give this world a 10, there are no creature spawns, no NPCs, and no quests.
