Ouch....I never check my junk mail...so I can confirm that it is gone for now....Yet, if there is a new site preparing to launch....I shall have patience and flesh out my PC bio a whole lot more. Although I would love to read the threads on the current forum to get an idea of what to expect on this site. Oh yeah, one thing I would like to know is....what year is it going to be so I can update the timeline created for my PC. Thanks for the reply!

No offense taken, we are currently in the process of switching forums and including a brand new website so it may be best to wait it out as these will be up soon. We're expecting to relaunch mid to late April. However to activate your forum account on our current forums you should have recieved a confirmation email, if its not in your inbox try your junk mail :) If that fails post up once more and i'll see what i can do.

Hmm, I hope I did not offend you with my post ImmoralSinner. I just cannot log in to the Forums or I might have known what was going on I suppose. I registered with the Forums, just no luck being able to log in. It just tells me I have an inactive account, although, I never recieved an e-mail to activate. I do indeed look forward to the server and even more so now that all will start on even ground...more or less. :) Anywho, when is relaunch taking place and how do I activate my forum account?

Its funny, you look back over the comments and you read the most negative ones voting a 1. Really i think Elephant1 said it the best- "Being the most popular Role-play server in 2006 and 2007, the Frontier was popular for its large amount of players at anytime and amount of effect of all players to keep up the quality of role-play. Unfortunately, wherever there are people, there are disputes. The huge numbers of players only brought more conflicts, and each of these conflicts had frustrated some number of players and staffs, some of these top quality role-players. Some left in good terms, some didn't. Some decided to build their own server seeing the success and flaws of the Frontier. Some just had had enough with nwn2" You can't have a whole basket of chocolate eggs, some may be rotten. Who am I? and what have i experienced on this server? I have been playing on The Frontier just about every day since December 2006, and i still continue to have fun. Over the past year i have seen many players and DMs come and go like the tide, my first character was a villain and managed to hit lvl17 after alot of hard work and though he may be gone he continues to live on, after he was killed i was offered the chance to play a 'Special Race' by the Staff, an extremely rare chance to play something unique due to my first characters popularity. I chose to play a vampire, he was short lived at just a few months and ended up being 'retired' again however i put alot of effort in and people who remember him think of him as an NPC rather than a PC due to the impact he made. Again my hard work and effort was rewarded once more with a position on the Frontier staff. My time on the staff has taught me how hard it is to create such a unique, immersing and ever evolving world. It truly is a difficult task when the hundreds of players you cater for each want to alter the world, sometimes things cant be done or the balance of things goes awry, other times a player just isn't hard working enough, for example you cant have everyone make a house or the server becomes full of empty areas that are never or rarely used, thus time and effort is required by everyone who wishes to make an alteration and very few do the work to make a real change. As a staff member my events were for the majority well liked often doing them weekly, or daily if time permitted, those players of a different timezone to myself often sighed at the fact they missed one of my events, not to inflate my ego too much I'll get to the point. It was the positive feedback that kept me going and going where other were falling and leaving, being able to 'hang out' with an online community that you cared for and cared for you. Sadly with the Frontier setting reaching its peak, being almost a utopia, we have come to a decision for a wipe, this news of course has had more players and DMs leaving than that of past OOC strife only a large community can create. Its taking place as a catastrophe to the island Calisia which is our setting, to recreate the frontier feel we had in the beginning, this time with less mistakes and more fixes, basically The Frontier has ended its year of 'testing' and we are getting juicy. That being said this will allow a whole new wave of fresh adventurers, hunters, mercenaries, cultists, and any other type you could think of. To all those that hated the 'good' orientation of the server this is good news for you too, with a clean slate and a neutral feel, we hope that there will be a place for every alignment, the setting is currently darker than the original with new factions such as "The Black Empire", "Sword Sea Union", "The Seven Masks" and "The Brootherhood". Although the old characters that created our original setting will no longer be around, their impacts has helped to create the new Frontier, players will be able to scour the island looking for clues as to what actually happened while competing over resources and land, defining their own law and recreating the ol "Wild West" style. Legacy items created by past characters are left behind in the ruins of their once tamed wilderness, allowing new players and new characters a look into the past. We hope that you check us out after the relaunch, you thought it was good before? wait till you see what we have in store!

*sigh* Good luck to anyone who can actually register a profile and get a reply to log in to those forums. I have sent multiple messages, e-mails and so on with no results. So, if you can get some attention on this site in less than a week, then....GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, I have spent many hours reading the history of the area and thumbing through my FR campaign setting to get my PC bio perfect (for me that is) to come to a real RP server. I tried to register at the forums about 3 days ago and no luck being able to log in. I have sent messages to two or three staff members to see if there was a problem with the forums, no reply. I know they are busy and that I am but a gnat in their face, but, I really look forward to this server despite the bad things said. I have around 15 years of RP experience in D&D, never said I was all that good, but, have experience none the less. I have learned that there will always be conflict amongst people in large groups. That cannot be avoided. Stil, can a Gamer get some help to log in on the forums?

Galrud, look who's talking. I gave a fair review of the Frontier -- not a 1 because I left badly, like many have done before me. I had many friends there, and was sad to leave them, but I simply couldn't roleplay there anymore. Art critics dont have to be artists to critique art. I gave an honest review, was polite, and admitted that I haven't played at many. Before you start bashing people for criticizing your server -- which has been one of the many complaints listed here -- realize that everyone has different opinions and you taking a swing at me was NOT needed. Grow up. I stand by my vote. _________________________ Obsidian Shore, a HoF 9.8 heavy roleplaying PW. Dark and gritty fairytale world with the opportunity to do and change the world as you wish. I've played here for over half a year now, and I'm still having a lot of fun. The Staff is one of the best you'll find, and theres always some fantastic RP going on. I would urge any of you that enjoy RPing, or want to find out what RPing is...to try out this server.

I've been playing on this server for a little over a year now. I've seen players make suggestions, complaints and still continue to log in to this server and continue to RP. Over time the DM Staff seems to have listened and reacted to the various comments by the players as feasibly quick as possible. Currently a new DM Staff organization is in effect and it will take time to see how this works out. The player favoritism is eliminated for the most part, and those who actually put an effort in to their characters see rewards for their hard work down the road. Those who change characters frequently often see little reward. Most of what you can expect to experience is posted on their forums and very descriptive. It's no secret that playing evil on The Frontier is going to be a difficult task, after all the first town was founded by a Paladin. What would one expect and still remain consistent with RP? There is evil however, but probably not the overt type many wold expect to have handed to them. Evil has to be smart and careful or they will find themselves at the mercy of these 'good' characters all to quickly. I've also played an evil character for close to 6 months now, I've assassinated PCs, NPCs, and caused change in more than one DM Event, so it is very possible. I also play a very 'good' character and have worked with others to start building the first 100% player run town on The Frontier, or any other RP server I've seen. Still in it's development I hope The Frontier will have a elven city soon. There's also quite a few player run guilds on The Frontier, and this is encouraged by the DM Staff. There's evil guilds, good guilds, even the 'I don't care about good or evil' guilds. Overall you will find the more consistent you RP, and the more effort you put forth in developing your own story on this server, the more DM Staff will support your efforts. The DM Staff currently seems to cover the Prime Time Hours for most all NWN-2 Servers, 6pm EST to about 2am EST. I have yet to find a single server with 24 hour coverage, and those that have coverage for the European time zones often have no coverage for the US time zones. The Frontier is still in development and still working towards a more final setting. Though this task is difficult at best when it's a dynamically evolving setting. Those whom understand and have experience running a PW probably understand this more than anyone. Feel free to come try it, if you find yourself needing a little help you can send me a tell, a PM over their forums or even better contact a member of DM Staff. Most of the players if not all of us are more than willing to help new players =)

PoisonTheMonkey I almost laugh at your retraction, only because you have yet to experience anything yourself. You admit to the Frontier being your first RP server, and yet try to spear head a RP server of your own. One thing you would do well to learn, is to not knock other peoples work until Obsidian Shores gets off its feet. Otherwise you speak from an orifice that smells more than anything else.
