This download contains several new armor models that will allow module builders to depict suits of Japanese samurai-style armor in their modules. The armor is available for the human male and female bodies, and includes a number of new inventory icons to reflect these new items.
I hope to, in the future, append this hak file with further Japanese-style armor and clothing. This is the first release, hence the 1.0.
Version History
1.01 - Changed the file names to start at number 200 in the toolset instead of starting at 49, which was apparently conflicting with the Jester Gear armor.
This is the Override edition of this download. It is generally recommended not to needlessly load the Override directory up with loads of files, but this may be preferable for those who are looking merely to try the models out or use them with pre-existing modules, including the NWN2 Official Campaign.
One question? I started to try to create a new armour based on your mesh by alphaing out the lower armour parts and just let there be the pants! For some very strange reason the alpha channel doesnt apply - in fact at every other model i used the alpha channel (of the diffuse map) it always were functioning, just your armour - which is great btw (see comment above) - works different! Have you any idea? Or better! Could you merge an OE model (e.g. HHM_CL_Body06) with your samurai armour pants! I really would like to have a robe version of this or a similar (ninja, desert warrior etc..) armour mesh! Thanks for reply

I love this hak, and would like to see more like it. I would have given it a ten, but I've had quite a bit of trouble using the armor, especially building other sets to resemble it. I would also suggest an erf of the finished sets as a nice addition, as well as more detailed information on usage, like the selections required to make the appearances in Sin's Plugin item Lab...

wonderful work. the helmets could use a bit more work..maybe the facemask (at least a partial) could be added, and the top of the head is a bit too bowl-like, but other than that really top notch stuff!

This is quite a good piece and fairly accurate but I am having a problem with the shoulder textures appearing with the override version. I get a message which reads "Texture Missing" on the shoulder pieces only. Any chance you'd reconsider doing these for all the races?

Thank you so much. I would still love to see this for all races, but humans is a wonderful start.

Wonderful piece shazzwozzer! Definitely up there with the best. I dont think I'd use it myself (even though I've got it in the override), but I'd recommend it to anyone. By the way, i just saw these sketches in the ideas database. Since you're more than gifted with 3d modelling, would you have a look? I think they really have great potential. Keep up the brilliant work!
