Category  Armor
Patch  1.05
Description
NWC = Nudes With Clothing...

Thanks to Runner for his superior quality control!

Contains a 'Crop top and loincloth' mesh and a 'Cocktail dress' version. The extra meshes parts are alphaed, so can be used for a wide variety of outfits. UV template included. There is come clipping when the running in the cocktail dress, but it's not to bad. Can't fix it easily. This is a problem that affects many of the armors, so I don't feel to bad about it.

I've tried to make the UV map as easy to use as possible. The dress has more pixels than the underlying skin (which looks fine at 512x512)

Comment, vote and make suggestions! Next to come is going to be a decent barbarian.

Notes:
Remember it's only a one bit alpha channel - no subtle transparencies
Thanks to Zylch003 for the original mesh

Congratulations you for your impressive pack. I have used it in my solo campaign in French, "A Slave Destiny" Part I and II. Both parts are currently well rated by players. Your pack is probably contributing to it's success.

This is your first work, and it is not so outstanding as the others.

Good job. Is it possible for you to do the meshes for female half-orcs, gnomes and dwarves as well?

Really good work! Very good base to retexture do all kinds of stuff by adjusting the alpha channel!

I have a request, and would be so glad if you could do the same thing like you did here - overlayering the nude pack with the orignal cloth - but do not alter the original mesh ( not shorten it, neither at the arms nor the collar!

That would be great and i could provide the community with some new clothes!

I am now very into the retexturing stuff, but i don't know how to use a 3D editor and how to recoordinate the UV-Map. if you could just overlayering all amrours over the nude mesh and combine them in one texture (like described above) would be so kind or maybe - if you don't have to motivation for that, please, please explain me how to do that.

thanks and best wishes

Jester these are awesome -- nice work! I hope you or other talented people can make more "NWC" content for us! :)

Posted by aegnor81 at 2007-05-27 02:26:30
The default one that a rogue/bard wears at character creation, what I was thinking is that they could either be completely removed, or removable through one of the arm selections much like Aleanne did with CL4 ,and maybe a version without a collar, like some form of discreet cleavage. What d'you think?

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-05-26 12:15:02
I'll have a look aegnor - which one?

Posted by aegnor81 at 2007-05-26 04:24:32
Jester, I have a request if youre up for it, can you make a version of the rogue armour without sleeves and pant legs?

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-05-21 06:32:30
I try to be responsive - thanks for spotting the bug.

Sure did! You are awesome for such a quick fix!

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-05-20 15:02:19
Hope that fixed it!

Arghh - I'll check it

Okay, after some experimentation, the seam appears to be a problem with the normal map. The shift in the UV coordinates is such that normal texture from the Zylch part of the model is not quite aligned correctly.

Posted by Ransom at 2007-05-20 12:04:14    Voted 10.00 on 05/06/07
Small problem with the new mesh: it leaves a black seam at the back of the neck and down the upper back. I can give you a screen shot, if you want.

It does fix the "symmetrical dresses only" problem, which is a big improvement.

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-05-19 18:24:11
OK - new*bleep*tail dress model UV, fixes the reversed hemlines. The UV map is now more symmetrical too. Sorry if this messes up anybody's half done project. I don't see the UV problem Runner - renders OK in the game, which is about the only test I can do.

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-05-17 04:09:26
Thanks Runner - I'll look into those problems - I thought I'd got it straight...

Posted by RunnerDuck at 2007-05-14 17:54:51
The UV coords for each side (inside and outside)of the*bleep*tail dress are skewed slightly from each other. The outside faces are lower and to the left of those on the inside. This isn't really a problem until you try to add transparencies to the textures, in which case back faces will show up at certain angles where they aren't supposed to be. Making a shorter version of the skirt by alpha channeling out the hem won't work right, with different front/back uvs.

Another issue with the uvs, although of less importance, are the uvs for all the models seem to be shifted by -1 v. Render uvw template didn't work in 3dsmax because of this, and neither would my UV Ripper tool. This one isn't really a big issue, since it won't effect simple editing of the base texture, or the way it renders, but I think the skewed inside/outside of the dress could get in the way of some retexturing efforts.

I've upped my vote again because, now that I've used this extensively, it's clear this is groundbreaking. This enables people, like me, with no 3d modelling skills of their own to create dresses and skirts!

This is odd, I did vote on this, but it didn't show up. Well I will try again. I like your work, is there any hak pak version's out there, you and Aleanne have hundreds of stuff in my over drive :P

Nice, but no readme in the archive. Can you include one? Maybe add some picture at readme file too, cause I often forget what this hakpak do :P

Upping my vote because the new mesh is fantastic. Really easy to work with!

Posted by jester_v01 at 2007-04-29 08:04:53
OK - that should be the right file. None of the above are intended as 'serious' outfits, they all took about 20 minutes, but just to show off the mesh. You could a fairly decent chainmail and leather jerkin out of it if you wanted to.

Yeah, the download doesn't have the*bleep*tail dress mesh and uv in it. Whine! We wants it.

It looks like the file is missing the green dress
