delete the extracted sunlees claws folder
Right direction: You cant rename them just by renaming the filename. You probably need one of the "model renamer" tools here on the vault.
thats because the filename (and that of the texture) is referenced inside the model file too.

I have been trying for quite a while to change the base item with no success; I am thinking my roadblock comes at the mdb file, which I cannot edit appropriately. Could I humbly request a handaxe base item version hak of the third claw (left and right) for my PWC? :) If not, just a point in the right direction as to how to do it myself (find an mdb viewer?) would be very helpful.

I have a request being that I have no idea how to do it myself ;P I love these.. however I would really like to have these as base item kukri or dagger? If it never happens thanks for the work regardless.

I'm using them in game and there neat. Here's how I do it:
Someone please answer. How do you get these ingame. How did you import these? Is it "giveitem"? Many of you are happily using them. Are you using them in the OC? Is the "erf" necessary for the override version? If so how do you use the "erf" with the OC?
alabaster67 has asked twice. Ignoring someone who doesn't immediately understand is not very community friendly. Please help us less fortunate users. We may not fully understand the inner-workings of the game but we too would like to use these wonderfully crafted items.
that still doesnt answer my question. im not asking how to intall them, im asking how do you get them on your character? how you spawn them so you can equip and use them?

Ah, glad that the kama version was all I needed to run these in game.
I like them. Especially since they were perfect for the "bone scythes" of my custom blue slaad. I also take back what I said about them using the unarmed stance. The DWS definitely works better. I also take back what I said about the dual-wielding penalities. And that can be changed by adding an appropriate attack bonus when using these as creature weapons.
Decided to give up replacing gloves with these and take the bug as is. I don't think this would be a good replacement for kamas either. Since you need to create two different weapons to make a matching set, the players would have chance finding the sister claw so that it looks right in the other hand. Adding one weapon model is one thing. Adding one for each hand seems to be too*bleep*bersome of a job.
Otherwise, I find this excellent work and a must have for any claw fans.
Heh, I've seen a "JL" module out there...I can sure see one particular set finding a home in a Marvel-based module or a certain mutant making a fan made appearance.

Just downloaded override versions for the kama rules. Hoping that's all I need. I'll vote when I see more.
One of my expectations for these is that the weapons use the unarmed stance while fighting. To be honest, I don't know if the kama is included in this stance. Another expectation is that the dual-wielding penalties are slight, almost nil.
What my plan for this is to replace the glove items in the game with claw variants until the damage bug can be fixed. At least then the damage will look like what it's suppose to be.
Kama was a good idea, since these can now be dual-wielded well, work for monks, and do slashing damage (which makes more sense than piercing). And to get around haks not loading, why not just release it as a true override folder-only hakpak? If you make a modified version of all of the 2DA files and shove them in the override folder, it will load with the game and run just fine. Besides, having to install .erf files to everything I want to test this out on is annoying, and an override version would fix that.

These are very cool! Thanks for the quick response on the kamas. Looking forward to future work from you.

not difficult, but everybody wants another rule for the claws...
of course i would prefer own weapon type, but it does not work with own feats, because hak and custom_tlk not load before charakter_creation_screen...
maybe i change it on kama soon... _________________________ Sunlee's Custom Content german pw amdir

Would it be difficult to change the weapon type to a shortsword or small exotic weapon?
