--Warlock Buddy--
Includes toggles for 24hr buffs and several other spells, including some of mine. All of my changes are added to this version of the warlock buddy.

You need to download the SWB_UI file as well to see the new options.

--NOTES--

SR: You'll notice double feedback in the log. If the roll shows you beat it but failed, you rolled a 1.

Eldritch Glaive: To use essences with this spell, click on the essences in the quick cast menu. If you have weapon finesse, the touch attack changes from melee to ranged to give dexterity bonus. You can cleave with the glaive and perform attacks of opportunity during the round it is cast.

Extra Invocation: Keep in mind that, unlike the spell versions, you can't swap these out. So take something you can use for the rest of the game.

OEI Hellfire Warlock: This has been changed to always deal 1 con damage regardless of blast shape.

--CREDITS--

Icons: some are from older games. Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale mainly. (and thanks to NTB for sending them over). Some are from the vault in various older packs. Dubby has made several.

Balance/Testing: GLWizard, the self proclaimed rules lawyer. ;)

Eldritch Glaive: The animation was done by Raygereio.

Hellfire Warlock: This is a reworking of Dubby's original HfW. Original concept and icons are theirs with a little personal flair added in. Now includes two ways to make Hellfire work. You can either have your Con drained or take damage. If damage, you take 1 divine damage per HfW level for each con damage you would have taken.

Warlock Buddy: Originally created by Draco Rayne and remade for 1.23 by ladydesire. GLWizard added in options to recognize extra invocation feats and two of the new buttons on the warlock buddy screen and changed the lines so any warlock companion should be able to use this (requires testing).

Hello,

Thanks for the new class pack. It makes the warlock much funner.

Thank you.

Posted by saralach at 2013-02-18 12:52:34
I'm probably going to get this question, so I'll go ahead and go through it..

If you want to use another pack with this one and it also has a level up script (k_mod_player_levelup) you'll need to add their level up script to mine or vice verso. Mine is "sv_player_levelup" and most contributors do it similar with their own personal tags. Set up different delays in the k_mod script and you should be golden.

If you choose to make your own classes with this pack as a base, you can simply add to sv_player_levelup and go from there. If you have questions, PM me on the forums.

With the rewrite, dark changeling probably won't work with with feat based invocations. It's essentially natural spell added to your armor for the duration of the polymorph. It only lets you cast spells that are in the quick cast.

You can merge my work with others if you want. If it's Kaedrin's extra steps have to be taken to turn off some of our overlaps.

Also, the Eldrich Doom and other Blast Shapes worked.

Thank you

Took out some other mods. They appeared to have interfered.

The Dark Changeling Feat does not appear to allow me to cast invocations. Only Blasts.

Thank you.

Hello,

Was playing a test mod.

would you please check to see if Hell-Spawned Grace and Form of a Fiend work? I was having trouble getting those to work with Warlock Rewrite.

Thank you.

Posted by saralach at 2013-02-10 09:32:24
It would indeed. Paragon Visionary and Shadow Master are back. Along with some epic/dark extra invocations. Energy Immunity and Instill Vulnerability will not be done as extra invocations. Not because they're powerful, but because subradial feats are a pain to do.

This is probably the last installment of the spell pack, unless there are bugs. Going to start working on a small class pack.

Would it be possible for you to add a couple of extra epic invocations? It would be cool to have the shadowmaster epic feat.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for the update. Your mod made playing the warlock funner.

Posted by saralach at 2013-02-07 16:31:11
Susaphone,

There were a lot of invocations in the previous pact. After coming back and taking a second look at it, the pack started to feel really thrown together. I may re add some invocations like flee the scene but with a change so you can't jump over triggers and waypoints. Baleful Utterance, Vile Toughness, and a couple others. Also changing Bewitching Blast and Binding Blast to make them more interesting.

I'll be uploading some extra invocation feats later on, maybe even tomorrow. Have to test a few more scripts before I make a release.

Hello,

Just a humble request.

I liked the previous Warlock Pack because it included a lot more spells. If I remember right, some of the spells did not seem to work. Would you please fix those spells and repost it?

Another request is to add Invocation Feats like GL Wizard does so that I can have more than 12 Invocations.

Thank you.

Posted by saralach at 2013-02-02 20:27:11
GL, that's fine. Thinking about doing a few classes as well, one of them getting extra invocations as bonus feats. Wasn't doing anything, so I've already written the extra invocations. Not going to do epic/dark extra invocation. Just haven't uploaded that yet.

The forum link is updated if you want to take a look there.

Hi, Saralach-

I did notice that you had come out with a major revision to your pack. I haven't had time to do more than glance at your user notes.

While I admit that I'll miss the various "pact" feats in particular- shades of 4th edition D&D, if you will- overall, I do like this revision of your pack.

Time is at something of a premium for me these days; however, I'm currently contemplating doing some major work on my Spellpack. Naturally, one of my first tasks would be to redo the version that includes your pack... assuming that's all right with you.

Now including a sneak attack code for eldritch blasts. Currently includes rogue, assassin, blackguard, and improved/epic sneak attack.

Modders note: if you want to add classes to the code, simply go into sv_inc_sneak and add your custom classes. Then recompile everything in the eldritch blasts folder.

For anyone who's still watching this page...

I'm back, and I'm almost done.

@Dubby

Honestly, I got a lot of icons from a lot of places and dumped them all into one big folder. Some are from Icewind Dale, some Baldur's Gate, some from the vault. I don't remember what's what. You had some nice ones, that much I remember.

@ fredamora

I keep my scripts in folders to find them easy, so could you. Nothing in my pack should conflict with the ToB. If using with packs like Kaedrin's or other warlock packs you'd have to do some extra work to turn delete their blast codes or mine.

How are the spells' scripts done here? Are they independent of other things in this mod (feats for instance)? So I can just copy the spell scripts and the necessary 2DAs and blueprints. Then again, maybe I should just use your mod altogether...and merge 2DAs. That's less time-consuming than checking and editing scripts if needed. Hope this won't conflict with ToB

I'll incorporate some of the spells here in my game...just to make Ammon as powerful as he should have had been. Thanks

Posted by Dubby at 2012-06-19 06:56:33
Hey my icons, lol.

One would think that if you're gonna use material from older packs you should always have a credit list... and here I was wondering if I should update my own invocation pack. Still, nice to see so many people working on great invocation packs like this one.

Awesome pack, I was looking for a warlock pack that didn't destroy my vanilla/canon game, but the original Warlocks were severely underpowered in PVP. I'm wary of most fan made changes but everything you added is sourced from one rulebook or another. Great job!

Can I just say this would be perfect if it had Warlock Buddy incorporated into it. You can still use Warlock Buddy with it, but it only affects some of the invocations. Any chance of having it put in?

I love your mod, it really adds to the warlock and significantly changes it from simply trying to get vitriolic blast as soon as possible.

However, I can't seem to get it to work with Kaedrin's class pack and a few modules (Conan Chronicles, Misery Stone, A Hunt Through the Dark). I'd really, really like to play through those listed modules with your expanded warlock abilities. Kaedrin's class pack seems to work perfectly with them. I've tried uninstalling Kaedrin's work, and placing your mod in different locations. Unfortunately, that is the extent of my abilities. Any pro tips?

Anyone knows how to use only the Spell Resistance Fix??? Well work-around

Posted by agbudar at 2011-03-20 10:02:37
btw i did a litle editing myself my helfire doesnt do con damage but hp damage much more preferable (and it does burn you right so it should damage) and with 5 hp for every hit the helfire shield dishes out you still have to watch youre warlock and be careful that he doesnt die

Posted by agbudar at 2011-03-20 09:59:11
thnks for the amazing work btw i love most if not all the invocations btw really gives warlocks an ability to actually be that threat you would want them to be

Posted by agbudar at 2011-03-20 09:55:50
int nCasterLvl = GetWarlockCasterLevel(OBJECT_SELF);
int nAttack = nCasterLvl /5;
ok this is a little inbetween but im fooling around with prestige classes and i did a little editing to stuff and i wanted to make another class besides the hellfire warlock being able to multiclass into warlock and receive warlock spells the class in question gets the spells and stuff no prob but this above script. does it mean it only checks for warlock levels or really all the caster levels becuz for me when i multiclass my warlock its actual caster level sticks around 6 even though the multi class does get the spellprogression table and everything

Posted by Dundalis at 2011-02-17 02:54:19
Just to add to the above comments, hellspawned grace doesn't work as I said, but the Dark Discorporation issue seems to be caused by my fiddling with the cls_spgn and cls_spkn warlock 2das, as I wanted more invocations and at an earlier level. Seems it crashes if I use the invocation and bring up the char screen before the earliest level I should be getting it at, L16.
