Here is my first weapon minipack which will give you three new exotic weapons for NWN2.
After releasing my crescent moonblades, I felt like playing around a bit more with the concept.
So I made a new type based on the blades I found in a photograph of Bagua master Yang Shu Ton.
I have also resized the original moonblades to make them more true to the original weapon.
I had a couple of requests for an Indian Katar, or punch dagger, so I gave it a shot.
I'm not entirely happy with the result in-game, since the default dagger animations I used
aren't really appropriate. In time, I'll have to find a better one.
By the way, when I was searching for Katar pictures on the web, I came upon a huge picture
database of Indian weaponry (http://www.hindunet.org/saraswati/indianarms.htm).
The sight of all those pretty(and often pretty nasty) weapons really gave my inspiration a boost,
so be prepared to see more from this corner in the near future.
HOW TO USE:
Simply put the MDL, TGA and 2DA files in the override folder.
In the toolset, create a kama and look for the following model parts:
- part 80 for the original Moonblades (resized)
- part 81 for 2nd type Moonblades
- part 85 for the Katar
The assorted inventory icons are called it_we_moonblade01, it_wb_moonblade02 and it_we_katar01
This pack is not to be used under influence of alcohol, drugs, sedatives, or any spells causing
the effects of aforementionned substances. These are not toys. Sharp! Ouch! Keep away from children.
Thanks for using my weapon pack!

UPDATE: for compatibility reasons, I renamed the model and icon names.
I now use kama model slot 80, 81 and 85. and icon.2DA slots 2000, 2001 and 2005

I've been away from the "NWN scene" for a while, but it's a good surprise to see your votes and comments! As for the requests, with a bit of luck I'll soon have some more spare time to get back to modeling. ;) No promises though! cheers, Tarim _________________________ Edunas Project Leader, Tarim Yassahr

Moonblades are very impressive! Katar is just a knife. Good knife (I can't say a word against it). Continue your work, such blades are very fascionating in the game!

Outstanding. Is there a tutorial on how you made these? I would like to make the Balor whip model visible but don't know how. Also the Klingon Bat'leth would make a great weapon. Thanks for the Weapon Pack.

Any chance of adding these to the official campaign? I really love your katars but I'm not big on cheating, so I don't want to break the game and have monster level 20 katars to start with. Also, I don't know if it is posisble to add custom weapon feats but it would be really awesome if it were. _________________________ NWN2 Voting Standards - Tattoo it on your forehead. 10 - A Masterpiece, Genuinely Groundbreaking 9 - Outstanding, a Must Have 8 - Excellent, Recommended to Anyone 7 - Very Good, Deserves a Look 6 - Good, Qualified Recommendation 5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable 4 - Some Merit, Requires Improvements 3 - Poor Execution, Potential Unrealized 2 - Very Little Appeal 1 - Not Recommended to Anyone

Never seen these on NWN before, so I can give a good vote then. I am using the punchers for my monk. The weapon looks cool. In fact, I liked it enough to let my monk use a weapon, and that is usally very taboo for me.

Thanks Blue and thanks Pipgirl! I do accept free hugs. Even if they are virtual ;) By the way, I think I know where Blizzard got their inspiration from when they were making Diablo weapons. And there's a lot moor cool stuff where that came from, so as soon as I get more time, I'll dig into that some more. _________________________ Edunas Project Leader, Tarim Yassahr
