BouncyRock Entertainment README FILE: Yuan-Ti Pureblood
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
by Jonny Ree Link
Hello everyone. My second big submition to the vault, and it was what we would consider a quickie.
This model was created for fun to test out my new system, and I can honestly say it made a huge difference.
I was able to finish this model within three workdays worth of hours and had a lot of fun doing so.
It does use the human female skeleton which means I didn't have to do any animations for this one.
Some information about the model:
polycount: Main mesh:3500tris |L01:2700tris |L02:1800tris.|
Texture: head:1x512(*3) body:1x1024(*3)
*3(defuse map, Normal map and tint map)
appearance.2da entry: Row no. 1204
Label: ree_YuantiF
An example can be found under Monstrous blueprints, but I believe this requires some modifications.
Tinting is available, but is limited to not destroy the original texture, but some color variations should
be possible.
Notes:
***CHANGES***
I've modified the file so you no longer have to select head99 nor does it include P_HHF_skel99.gr2.
Its now also updated to Storm of Zehir 2das
/***CHANGES***
I had a lot of fun doing this project, and even though its of limited use, I hope people find enough use for it anyway.
I love to see my creatures popping up in modules and PWs. So feel free to go to Link and post your
screenshots, cause they are highly appreciated.

Special thanks to:

EDIT:
Jason Roy aka jclef has added a small module for people who wants to just try out the yuan-ti's in action. here is what he wrote
Welcome to a wicked tiny module by Jclef. I'll be doing these each creature Jonny Ree creates so that the community can get a chance to see them in game right away.
****************************
Welcome to the Jungle, baby!

For this mini-module, you'll be playing the role of Jonny Ree, who is deep inside the jungles of Chult, searching for his lost teammates who have been captured by the Yuan-ti Purebloods.

- Jclef updated mini mod with this feature.
**** UPDATES ***** MARCH 2009
- Now with Storm of Zehir 2da file
- No longer uses P_HHF_skel99 so select head 01. All files updated to use this version.
Thanks for the excellent comments everyone! :D It does indeed keep me going. As for making gloves, the main problem is that its also using a custom skeleton based on the human female animations. This skeleton supports the longer fingers. Making gloves however the fingers wouldn't be long enough, so they would end up not bending the way they should. So unfortunately its not very likely to work right.

Really a masterpiece, I especially like the eyes. I was wondering, as I sometimes play yuan-ti characters, if it was possible somehow to make armor parts with the model. As I wouldn't want to play with this model even though it looks great, I'd like to make my characters look more like reptilians by having long fingers, like this one. How would it be possible to do this, making gloves with the apperance of these hands?

I thought I had commented here but I browsed through and realized that I haven't. Thank you for this wonderful model which I used in my first chapter of "Lanterna" as a boss NPC. You do excellent work, looking forward to those driders someday. Thanks again. _________________________ Chronicles of Charnia - Escape from Charn (NWN2) Chronicles of Charnia - The Exile (NWN2) Chronicles of Charnia - Lanterna

Gorgeous work. You should consider revamping the default models and skins. They're horrendous and are used by everyone, not just a small crowd. You would make them look amazing. :( _________________________ Obsidian Shore, a HoF 9.8 heavy roleplaying PW. PoeticDreamer: your best bet would probably be to download the Override version and then add it to a PW hak. If you don't have any HAKs you can download the HAK from here and add it to your module through module preferences. Your players will need to have the same file as well. Hope this helped. Thanks to everyone who has commented and voted on this :)
