Attacked by a neighbor's prized dog, you kill it in self-defense. But you are required to pay the dog's value, which is beyond your means. A bad streak of gambling diminishes your funds. Your neighbors are coming for your money or your blood! You must flee for your life.

Cimmerian Justice takes place in R.E. Howard's Hyboria in the country of Cimmeria. The player must start out as a 1st level or higher barbarian, though they may switch classes later on. Less than 4th level is recommended.
This is a hack and slash module.
You need the following hakpacks to play: hmc1 top hak nwn2
rws_all_in_one_2da
rws_all_in_one
all_critters
NOTE: Four of the files go in the \hak folders, the module in the \module folders.
Thanks to Robinson Workshop, Johnny Ree and Arphazon for their great contributions to the community.
Version 1.01. Door transitions and apparent injuries fixed.
Version 1.02. RWS Sewer tiles fixed.
Version 1.03. Loadscreens no longer random. Items dropping correctly. Nastier monsters have hit points reduced. Door transitions and apparent injuries fixed. Tiles fixed.
Version 1.04. Elemental treasure scripting fixed. Greenmaid attacks if shriekers attacked or loot taken. Doorways put in where tiles mix. Respawn fixed. Water placeable replaced by 3D water.
Version 1.05. Respawn now goes off automatically with gold and experience penalty.
Dude, make an .exe to implement this custom content. In its current state this module and you chapter 2 completely unplayable. (see prior post, scenarios appy to both chapters). I feel bad for being rude, but I have spent the last 4-5 hours trying various way to implent the hak etc with know avail. From reading your instructions one gets the impression that hak files are the extent of it. But in all honesty all of those hak that are required have 2da, erf, files that are not playing nice with yer mod...I have SOZ, just like everybody else does, and I seriously doubting compatibilty with either chapter 1 or 2. GAME LOADS BUT EVERYTHING IS TEXTURELESS AND JUST SHADOWS like none of the hak are active...but i know they are because I tried every variation of having haks in the different directiories ((ie mydoc vs. atari)) and nothing...wasted half my sunday man:(
Ok very interested in playing this but there are some issues with content.
Please paste:
what hak content should be:
what overide contend should be:
with all of the numerous links you have for files clarity is dim...for example after extracting all the various files you end up with three different 2da files all named "apperance.2da" and if you put them all in overide it want to copy over or keep both with altered name....
every time i load module and leave parents house i have tileless cell with only shadows rendering and sound.
If you could please paste what each directory hak/overide should have I am sure i can figure this out.
But in all honestly you should load the*bleep*bersome amount of content in an .exe files so it is implemented properly.
thanks, looking forward to playing
Yes, I made HMC2, HMC3 and HMC4 in NWN1. Converting is just time consuming and many monsters aren't available. This is the smallest of the modules, I'll have to make campaign modules for the others so you don't have to load 100+ areas every time you play. Even mostly bare rooms require lots of placeables. You should reach 30th level when I'm done, so save the character. Hope you have SOZ, using the overland map for the outside will reduce module size a great deal.
I believe it will have 4 parts: Overland and small dungeons, New Oresh, Old Oresh and Necropolis.
Thanks for the vote. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

It has been quite a while since I first played this and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes. Most of the time I had no idea where I was and where I was going since I did not use the walkthrough but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The few minor heal potions had me worried since I could not find a resting place until I found the Beholder. Some how I did manage to finish and now I am looking forward to the next part. There will be a next part won't there? I finished at level 3 Barbarian.
Actually I have made HMC2-4 in NWN1 and am converting them. They go up to 34th level. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Nice. A little short. Didn't break any new ground, but a solid first effort. I hope that this is just the intro to a longer series.
Thanks for the vote. The NWN2 voting standards is a bit of a shock to get used to. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Not bad. A small "attrition" based mod. The first part is fairly tough until you level.
Confusing load but I got it done.
Ran bug free for me.

Mike

BTW have found on character creator there are 2 new slots. Normally you have the choice of dwarf, human etc etc, now There is Bad Strref and "the last attempt to detect your settings" as race options? Also going through OC again and 2 things happen that are very strange and have not seen before. In the swamp ruins had noticed that the "tracks" are now walls suspended above the ground and worse still when you find the silver shard there is no movie scene and then the option to either look around or go straight back to village does not happen. You collect the shard and return to West Harbour and Daeghun does not recognise the fact that you have shard. End of game. This is quite a recent occurrence and so am posting this comment on all games I have recently downloaded. Maybe it's the ruddy overrides again. How do you post this for Bioware/Atari to see and take note?
Thanks. It appears the elementals and azer have the same ondeath script. Didn't notice that. One more version to be fixed. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Forgot this, each of the earth elementals you kill will give you a considerable haul of gems and an Azer hammer.

So I have completed it, downloaded and installed MOTB version and it worked. End up in a grove with the Tree Sheperd, I guess that is the end of part 1. I prob missed a few things because of the route I took. I finished as a 2/2 Barb/FTr. Found combat OK, not challenging.
It's a good beginning to what I hope will be an "Epic" campaign, based on NWN1 versions.
Storyline is OK, killing war dog of another family, ie for hunting.
For the big votes, some more roleplaying, interaction with interesting companions, plots, sub plots, surprises and for some/most of us a little romance is always the benchmark for excellent mods.
However your campaign wil hopefully become biffer and more intriguing and then my vote will definitely increase.
Rosie, I believe in NWN2 you have to put a hak in two places: \Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2 and \Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\modules, instead of just one place. I think one is for the toolset and the other for playing the modules. Not sure why they did it this way.
The five hakpacks are (two from arphazon): hmc1 top hak nwn2, rws_all_in_one_2da, rws_all_in_one, all_critters, beholder.
Ericdoman, I think I just remembered something from 4 years ago. I think you have to rename your file when you upload it or it doesn't change the file. This isn't the first time I've uploaded files and the file downloaded was an older version. I'm uploading version 1.03 for NWN2 vanilla and MOTB tomorrow. Too late to do it now. This should fix the dropped item problem. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Hi Mike
Could not find any mod dated 11/08. The folder/mod I have downloaded and installed in NWN2 mod folder is the 18.6mb folder above, dated 10/08, that is 10th Aug (UK)?..
As I mentioned below downloaded and reinstalled all folders again and still had same problem with door, clicked on it 100+ times in total in probably every conceivable position. Also could not attack some dwarves, I was standing right next to them, also quite a few were injured or badly wounded.
I'd really like to play this, but I'm having a problem. The game keeps telling me I'm missing a hak and I should check the logs. What logs does it mean? I've looked in the game directory (both my docs and program files) and only found one error log, which makes absolutely no sense and doesn't tell me what files I'm missing. As far as I'm aware, I've installed all the necessary haks/overrides, but I've obviously screwed up somewhere ... Sorry, I realise this isn't your fault or your problem, but can anyone help?
I've just exited that door. Try different areas of the door itself. Or force your character closer using keyboard commands. It took me two tries to go out. You must be right up next to it to transition.
The only other possibility is you copied the module to the wrong module folder. One folder is for the toolset the other for playing. The one in \documents should be 8/11/2008 9:20PM. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Downloaded and reinstalled everything. Started from beginning fought my way to miners hut but can not leave. I am sorry but I do not wish to install dm stuff. Thought you may have rectified this problem, even possibly contacting bioware for assistance, also could not attack some dwarves.
All the areas except the broken Out The Side of the Mountain transition have been tested to work. That transition is broken because you can't reach the door to get inside. RWS needs to fix that. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

So does that mean the miner's hut door will be OK the next time round. That area was the only place I could find where I could rest.
Unfortunately I did a door to door transition from a normal door to a door in a placeable. Apparently you can't do that yet. So I redid those transitions to waypoints. Hate doing that because doors automatically open and close each other without scripts door to door. Also, the RWS Deep Chasms tileset seems to be causing problems with NPCs. They keep getting caught in areas where you can't fight them and vice versa. I suppose the sling would hit them, but I didn't have it handy to test. I removed the dwarfs and replaced all but 1 with encounters and hope that fixes it. Otherwise think of it as a happy bonus.
As far as how to get out of the door. I tried renaming the savenfo in the saved game file to another area. Didn't work. I hate to say it, but you might have to start over. You could save your character, restart a game in DMClient, have the DM avatar kill and remove anything you did up to the house, save again, then restart as a multi-player game, loading your saved character. You'd have to walk back to where you were. Or have a friend start in DMClient, have them jump you outside, then finish it in client. Or start over and try a different route. I'm writing the walkthrough as we speak. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
I'm real happy so far with your production, thanks for releasing it.
I am having the same door transition issues as posted earlier by ericdoman and have tried almost everything. Do you have any advice on how to transition through this door?
In the first dungeon the first group of dwarves stayed "darkened" as if my character did not have a clean line of sight on them and did not turn hostile.
I'm downloading your latest version now and will hold my vote until I've had a chance to experience the complete adventure as you designed it.
Again, thanks for all your hard work. _________________________ Help is good when asked for,

Mike
Have tried to leave hut by clicking about 100 + times. From numerous distances and nothing still stuck. All other doors no problem, just one click. had a similar problem in another mod a while back and used a companion to click on door and we entered. Unfortunately I am alone.
BTW most of the dwarves were either injured or badly wounded. The chief also but he drank a potion just before fight. Also when I was in an area? can't remember which one. Maybe the fish woman or shriekers. There was a "human" fighter stuck in the rocks?
Is there a debug way of leaving, if so please explain in dummy terms.
Buckwheezer, it has 24 areas with 3 different ways of exiting the mountain. You can see no more than 20 depending on which way you take. HMC 2 has 121 areas, HMC 3 has 114 areas and HMC 4 has 73 areas to convert. I might cut out a few areas. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
Some of the doors you have to try different parts of the transition area until it transitions. And sometimes you are too far away and must force yourself closer. It took me four tries to get through one door. Placeable doors seem to have the most trouble. One cave can't be re-entered because you can't reach it. Hope RWS fixes it. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Does this one end with the Dryad offering to show a way to the city? It seems awfully short?!?

Not 100% what files to download and where to put them, so downloaded them all and most ended up in hak folder.
However I am stuck in Miners Hut, can not leave. Was on 3 hit points entering and had 3 reloads vs chief to finally kill him.
