***Now includes a Multiplayer version (you can play the MP version in either Multi or Single Player modes)***
"Approximately 60 years have passed since The Great Battle of Charnia (see "The Exile"). After that battle, the creatures and followers of Zorn continued to grow in numbers and eventually run the Charnians from their homes. The Charnians escaped into the forest and eventually crossed through a great mountain range via the mountain dwarves passage. On the other side of the mountain they began to build a small town with a few outlining villages. The followers of Zorn eventually stopped hunting the Charnians and returned to their lands. They began to lose focus (since there was no one to torment) and eventually separated into different clans and tribes based on race (goblins, orcs, ogres, dark dwarves, zornians, etc.) About 10 years ago your (the PCs) father, Adwen, led a large group of Charnians in an attempt to return to Charnia. Since the attacks had pretty much ended, they felt that maybe Zorn's evil creatures had all destroyed each other and returning to Charnia would be safe. The caravan never returned. You and your brother were young at the time. Your mother has never recovered from the loss of her husband. A month ago your brother led a small group to try and find out what happened to the first caravan. They were only supposed to be gone for a couple of weeks, but haven't returned. You have decided to form a very small (thus undetectable by the evil creatures) party to search for your brother."
I recommend first playing "Chronicles of Charnia - Escape from Charn" and "Chronicles of Charnia - The Exile" (not necessary though - but helps develop the setting and history).
**This is a CAMPAIGN so make sure you select "New Campaign" NOT "New Module**

slowdive-fan. I'm really liking this but I'm stuck. Finished all the quests but the father one, which I'm guessing is the big boss fight but I have no idea where to go. Have been running around looking but I'm tired and it's taking away from the Module. Will you (or someone)help? _________________________ "You take a look around and you see that the law is there only to protect power. You'll see plenty of law but what you won't see is any justice."

For Firefox users to download the end movie, go to Tools->Options->Applications tab. All those under "Content Type" starting with "Windows Media Audio/Video file..." (mine has two, others may have more), change the "Action" to "Save File". Don't forget to change it back if it's meant to be on whatever setting it was before making this change.

Very enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the later stages when I revisited the places in which I'd adventured in Part 2 of the trilogy. What brings it down a little is a certain two-dimensionality of some of the characters, a few Faerûn-specific items (e.g. Nasher's Nimble Boots) which crop up and stick out like a sore thumb in the non-Realms setting, and the final battle - it's very much a replay of the end battle in 'The Exile' and just isn't interesting. The end movie wouldn't download or play for me; Firefox reported a runtime error but eventually showed a still picture, IE8 reported that the site was 'Forbidden' and wouldn't load it at all, and Safari didn't seem to have problems but only showed a still screenshot, getting slightly bigger for a couple of seconds and then freezing, with a caption. I waited and waited but there was nothing more. By the way - the witch seems, from the markings on her stomach, to be a Jaffa. It would be an interesting idea, not unlike something that I'm doing in a fanfic at Twisting the Hellmouth, but it doesn't fit the mythos. I presume that it's just an accidental resemblance? _________________________ "You do well to flee, townspeople. I will pillage your lands and dwellings. I haven't finished yet, but I wanted to compliment you on the wonderful battle with the Lizard Queen. I was expecting a typical NWN2 combat cakewalk and had my butt handed to me. I actually had to buff, use potions, read scrolls, and a variety of tactics to win this battle. Superb! I'm playing through with my own characters (half-orc fighter, half-elf rogue, Asimar cleric and my main a human ranger/wizard. The main has stats that were generated by an editor, so he's got high stats. The rest of the party is vanilla. This was a very challenging battle, which is what I really look forward to when playing. You'll get a great rating from me, if things stay this way. _________________________ 'nut

@billabong2606: This was made with both MotB and Soz so that maybe the cause of the crash. Also, make sure you have all the files and folder in the correct places and a clean override folder. @Sirchet: Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment. Hopefully we figure out the server connecting issues that you were experiencing so that you can join us in a MP session sometime. Looking forward to those GPS projects in the works... _________________________ Chronicles of Charnia - Escape from Charn (NWN2) Chronicles of Charnia - The Exile (NWN2) Chronicles of Charnia - Lanterna

A wonderful experience, time well spent. I especially enjoyed the companion's dialogs, (when right clicked and choose talk) staying current with what quest you're working on. A well written, perfectly executed and masterfully presented story. Thank you slowdive_fan. _________________________ Help is good when asked for, Better when needed. Gaming Parents Studios
