A terrible storm has devistated the caravan that you were traveling with. Somehow you discover a small, almost abandoned, trading outpost in the wilderness. Desperate for shelter, your approach is cautious. You notice soft candle lights flickering in the windows of one of the buildings. Hopefully, this will mean shelter.

*Attempted to find all the spelling errors, Unfortunately, I'm not very good at proof reading my own stuff. So if you see any glaring mistakes, please let me know.
*My knowlege of the toolset has increased in the last year, since the original file was uploaded. So improvements have been made. I restructured some dialogs so hopefully there a little easier to get through. I wrote new scripts, so the game should run smoother from start to finish.
*I would have liked to have done alot more but time just didnt allow it. What I thought was going to be two days has already turned into two weeks.
*I did some work on the areas but there is still a long way to go there.
I hope you enjoy it.
*All comments/ideas/suggestions are welcome.

A very good small adventure. Good to level up a new char from start to maybe lvl 2 or 3. Given the relatively small scope of the mod it has a surprisingly intense and twisted storyline.
Highly recommended. One of the best "short" modules I've played.

Hilltop2012,
Don't know how I missed your first one as I played Arithel and loved it.
Excellent for a first model. The only thing that mars it is the typos and the lack of more conversation from the Companions; which, with their existing conversation only whets enthusiasm for more from them. Otherwise your Module delivers a good FR quest. I had no PC problems/no bugs; everything worked and all looked good (especially if you add NeilMc and Ovocean's stuff to your override!).
Keep going and thanks for this fun adventure! _________________________ "You take a look around and you see that the law is there only to protect power. You'll see plenty of law but what you won't see is any justice."

Cool! I'll check it out again when you get it updated. _________________________ Jezla
Thanks for playing and your vote. It's kind of weird, I was just thinking about remastering this. I have learned alot more about the toolset since this was done.
I probably wont do a whole lot with the areas because of time constraints. But the convos are going to be redone for easier reading. Also, I'm going to redo alot of scripting to make the game run smoother.
Thanks

A decent effort for a first attempt. The story is fairly good and has potential, but it needs a lot more polish before I can vote higher.
The greatest area for improvement is in the conversations. Proofread all your convos and correct spelling/grammatical errors (lots of "there" when it should be "their"). Try adding more links in the sections of convos where the PC is asking a lot of questions, such as during the waith convo. It will flow better if you end each question line with options to ask the other questions, rather than going back to the beginning of the convo.
The areas were not bad I thought, though more time and work will improve them. You might shorten the hallways in the crypt to make the area compact. It will feel more like a crypt, and save the player a little time as well.
I'll definitely play it again, as the first time through I somehow missed the ending. Keep it up! _________________________ Jezla

I don't have MOTB, so I can't play Arithel. Arithel is at the top of the list if I ever get MOTB, though! _________________________ MOVE SIG!

A little bit confusing on what to do. Sometime's allows you to do things out of order after they don't make sense. Still, a decent low-level module. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

If this is your first mod, I'm impressed! I look forward to your future works.
To me, all the areas 'felt' like they should have, and I liked the quality of the mod's own internal logic as far the conversations went. The only criticism I can think of is that I would have liked to have heard more from your companions. Which is actually a compliment as well, if you think about it. :) _________________________ MOVE SIG!
B003, Sorry about that. That seems to be a recurring bug that I thought I had resolved. Did you download ver 1.3 or a previous ver?
I'm going to take the other one down (ver 1.1), I shouldnt have left it up.
As for the ending, There are two cutsenes after you go to the surface (where everyone basically says there goodbyes and leave) So that was pretty much the end. Sorry about the freeze up, though.
Nah, I've tried typing stuff in there and it still breaks my clericvs afterwards. Should I be looking for numbers in a2da or something? It's not as if there's a dropdown list or anything :p.
Congratulations on filling the cleric's godslot. Might I ask how you did it? It's giving me absolute nightmares in the toolset that every cleric I make suddenly gets an empty godslot and has their domains changed to earth and air in game.

Just an FYI - I jumped back into it, at the end, and was able to complete the quest via my keyboard. It is just my mouse that will not respond at the ending. Again, thanks so much!
Thank you Denny! I should have some extra time this weekend. I need to take a close look at the ending. I really thought it was fixed.
Thank you for letting me know that it's still broke, so I can work on fixing it.

Well met, Hilltop!
Thanks so much for the mod. It was a lot of fun. Short, sweet, to the point and easily kept my attention throughout!
The NPCs were interesting, the story was great and I feel you did a great job for your first mod.
My only concern, like a couple other reviewers', is the ending. Once we leave the cave, I am stranded in front of the two merchants and the kid, not being able to interact with the game. I also had to cntrl+alt+del out of it.
Thank you for your comments DaveFritz. I apolagize for the bug. You were at the end. All you missed were two cutscenes where everyone basically says goodbye and the mod ends.
Which version did you download?
What patch do you have and what game version?
I think i need to remove ver 1 and 4 and just have 1 file up to download. The un-organization is my fault.
The mod I'm working on now is not exactly a sequel, but will be levels 2-4. I did export one NPC.
Hi, hilltop,
I've "finished" the mod as well, but had a problem similar to Gwydion at the end. When my party returned to the Village, they were all standing there, but I could do nothing, not even exit the game. I had to use the Windows Task Manager to get out of the game. I hope there was nothing more to do at that point. I have a save from just before returniong, so I can export my character from that.
Apart from the final area, it was a very well-done mod and I look forward to your next one. Will it be a sequel? If so, I'll reserve Frent Fryar to play it.
Thanks Sirchet! I understand what your saying about the tiles. I just recently figured out how to fix the corners. :D
I'm working on the next mod. The scope will be a little bigger, but not too big. I wanna be able to finish it! This one is giving me lots of outdoor terrain practice as well.
Thanks again for the comments!

This is a fantastic first adventure.
I look forward to enjoying the fruits of what you've learned while making this one.
I would recommend when placing interior tiles that you keep an eye out for those sneaky corners that like to sneak in and are hard to see in the tool-set once you've placed the tiles, (lower caverns main room and chest room), also did you know you can adjust the "pressure of your brush when painting terrain? It can make outdoor areas much easier to create without sharp peaks.
All in all, a very fun adventure that makes me want to see what you'll come up with next. ;)
Thanks for making this, good job! _________________________ Help is good when asked for,
