General Information:
Planescape: The Shaper of Dreams is the first part of a single-player campaign consisting of six chapters. The first three chapters take place near and in Waterdeep, whereas chapters 4-6 will take the player to several other planes of the multiverse, including the Abyss. This first part will keep you entertained for about four to eight hours and offers several side quests. We recommend you begin the game with a female human or half-elven character (level 1). You may also want to take a look at our readme file which features additional information and solutions to the quests if you get stuck somewhere.
In the first chapter we get to know our heroine, her story and the horrible nightmares she has to deal with. In fact, when the player meets her for the first time, she isn't a heroine yet. Therefore, a major part of this chapter is about her everyday life as a lady of the manor near the small city of Holst. The player will help her to find out about her hidden powers and to become a true heroine on her long way to the Abyss. At the end of chapter one - when she has passed her first tests - she will embark on her journey.
As we go along, several companions will join her in the chapters to come. The party will have to survive many adventures on their way which will lead them to Sigil and finally to the Abyss.
Chapter 1: The manor and the surroundings of the city of Holst
Chapter 2: The Greycloak Mountains
Chapter 3: Waterdeep - Looking for a way to the Outer Planes
Chapter 4: Sigil - The City of Doors
Chapter 5: The Abyss - Pazunia
Chapter 6: The Abyss Azzagrat

Story:
Several years ago, our heroine was captured by a powerful necromancer who subjected her to unspeakable rituals of death magic. Korman, her husband, finally, managed to free her and to have her body and soul restored. However, he had to pay a terrible price. In order to save his wife, Korman had agreed to a pact with a mighty demon prince and he had sworn to serve his new lord in the Abyss for the rest of his life.
After her return from the Realm of Shadows, our heroine has changed as well. She is no longer the person she was before. Whenever she goes to sleep, she is haunted by dreadful nightmares and gradually she begins to understand that something is very wrong with her.
There is a violent contrast between her life as a lady of the manor, where she has to deal with the manors everyday problems, and the mysterious horrors she has to face in her dreams. Eventually, these changes inside her make her want to change the situation around her as well. She decides to save Korman from his life-long servitude in the Abyss.
Thus, she embarks on a perilous journey through the planes of the multiverse to find her husband and to face her unexpected destiny

CHAPTER 3: The High Priestess

so important?
WALKTHROUGH:
If you get stuck, please take a look at the extended readme file which now contains a walkthrough for chapters one and two.
INSTALLATION:
To avoid technical issues, please install chapter 1 and nall the files needed for the campaign BEFORE installing chapter two.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If you encounter any problems, please let us know. We will help you as quickly as possible. You can either post your comment here or visit our English forum:
Please unzip this little patch and copy the three files in the NWN2-override-folder or the SoDCampaign -folder. Without this, a dialogue with Dilka can make some trouble with a neverending cutszene. It also fixes the dialogue with the cat Darkcat.
This is a little patch for chapter 3, for the distillator-script, which have speakstrings which are still in german. Please unzip and put it in your NWN2-override-folder.
This is a little patch to fix some journal entry lines, which are still appearing in German. Please use it after the installing of chapter 1-3. It is a .exe, you have only to doubleklick it.
This is a little patch for chapter 1, please try it, if you cannot jump to chapter 2 at the end of chapter 1 . I hope, this will help. Please unzip and put it in your NWN2-override-folder.
Just finished Chapter 3, I'm very much enjoying these mods. While the premise may be a little off-putting (for male players anyway!) it does have a unique feel and is well worth trying out for those who are not sure.
There are a few oddities with the original German language entries popping up here and there but nothing gamebreaking.
I'm being cruel maybe by waiting to vote until the series is finished but I really hope the whole thing comes to fruition eventually. Definitely a 9+ anyway, thanks for all the work done in the original concept and the translation. _________________________ Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't coming back;

@Lord Grave: It's been too long, I do not remember exactly, but suppose, end chapter 2 or 3 The previous poster, can give you certainly exactly answer;).
Can someone tell me what levels the protagonist should be at the end of each of the chapters? I played this a long time ago and I have a save with a level 7 character. Would like to identify which chapters I finished. Thanks.

I know it's not fair pushing you for a timeline... but I will anyway, consider me guilty;) I understand it's a one person's work and requires time, but how much is it gonna take? A month, two, three?:) Sorry to bother you, but I simply love this module - it suits my taste perfectly.
This is because chapter 4 is not ready translated ;). How i wrote below:
"I have only a brave translator. But he will persevere to the end (to stop it, it has invested too much time: D)"
Stuck inside the Painting. If the red glowing thing at the door is the portal, it doesn't seem to work for me, and there doesn't seem to be a way back. Please help.
Thank you! The fourth chapter is almost finished. It is the longest, and I have only a brave translator. But he will persevere to the end (to stop it, it has invested too much time: D)

One of the best modules I've ever played. Actually that's the first time I regret taking French instead of German at school. Please, tell me the fourth chapter is gonna be out soon!!! Can't wait...

It is really an outstanding write-up, and that i can accept that which was written here. I'll be back to look at much more of your posts soon. Thanks
The German mods have other tags/names of the chapters. This is in the save. And the jumpskript in the endlevel sends the sc in the new german or the new english named chapter. Perhaps if you chance that things, it could work. But I never try it.
@Rilo:
You must use the gates for the panel in the right order. I think, you have to use the external right one first. If oyou use them wrong, you will thrown back.

I'm enjoying these a lot, roll playing this character is a lot of fun. However, I'm stuck in chapter 2 on the mountain top I've killed the guard and talked with the elf. He told me to take all of the guards equipment. I can't access the control area, I keep getting blasted back.

@Jelenak: You can use xml-exporter, but if you export with them the translated dialogues back, scripts get lost. So you must insert the translated parts by copy and paste, and this is very time-consuming.
The easiest way is to translate the dialogues directly in the toolset. I have instructions for it, I think, I have them also in in English (in German you do not understand certainly). If you may, I can hand over them to you with pleasure (if I found the english one ;)).

@Milena
I can start translating chapters 1-3 ))) But should I do it via Toolset? Or there are any other ways? In Toolset I can accidentally change smth important in game scripts etc.
@Jelenak: Thanks you for your offer, but I think, we first have to translate all chapters in english. But if you want to tranlate it in russsian, you can do it with pleasure ;D.
Actually I´M searching for tranlators for my new Dragon Age module Chroniken von Coldramar. But for this I need tranlators which can translate it from German to English (For SoD I need some more too ;))

Hello! Do you need Russian tranlators for this game? (from Eng.)
Hello TikiHat, Milena will have a look at that once she finds a little time. It shouldn't take too long. :-) . _________________________ Feline Fuelled Games Translator and Voice Actor
After playing through the 1st module, I have really enjoyed this campaign. I was initially put off by the forced character relationship status, but decided to give it a go. I almost quit at the start. The idea of supervising underlings and tending to a home was a little too close to what I'm trying to escape by playing a game, if you know what I mean. The story quickly grabbed me, and I found myself immersing into your creation. I will happily post a review and score once I've finished the set.
I have, however, run into a problem. I have reached the end of the tunnel and had the message pop up telling me to go through the light to get to Module 2. When I try, I see the same message in German without any way to continue. I have reinstalled the Campaign and played through with 3 different characters to no avail. I found the link to a script that you had posted for another player who ran into this bug, but the file is no longer on that server. Please repost it so that I may continue to explore your creation.

I enjoyed the first part of the module because of the various quests that were available. A lot of work went into that and I found it quite refreshing in comparison to many other hack and slash type modules with little in the way of questing. The environment seemed to be set up to promote an alinear style of playing which was also well done.
On the downside, I was not really enthused with the idea of running a female character, and initially - due to not reading the description of the module - tried playing it with a male character. That obviously became tediously gender-juxtaposed so I quit and tried again with a somewhat plausible female character. But I still was not happy with being forced into a plot that was supposed to be based on a romance gone awry while playing a female character. Still, due to the shortage of superior NWN2 modules, I decided to let things run their course and to decide for myself whether I enjoyed to game enough to continue.
Up through the end of the first module, I found the storyline to be sufficiently interesting to keep going; however, after reaching module two, I became more vague about where the story actually was going, and toward the beginning of module three I became disappointed. The reason for my disappointment probably has more to do with my style of play and personality than with actual module itself. There are some people who find vague dreamy sequences mystical and even thrilling, I, on the other hand can't stand vague dreamy sequences that place the burden of their interpretive significance upon the shoulders of the players. I suppose that I find this trait particularly annoying because I am a natural problem solver at heart; ergo, give me facts, and clues - not imagery and metaphors. But since this is merely my opinon, I did not penalize the module too much in my rating :). In fact, I would have stuck throught the module and seen it through to its end if it had not been for the final straw of the final dream sequence that presented nothing functional for the completion of the storyline (in my own opinion) except to return home. That took the wind out of my sails right away - even when I got back to the manor, there was no immediate reason for my character's return. Had it been me, I would have at least created an impending crisis cutscene awaiting me at the gate of the manor; and I would have alluded to this crisis - or at least given a particularly strong hint - in the dream sequence preceding. No, sorry, I did enjoy the first two modules but the third immediately lost its appeal to me.
There were also some other small problems that seemed to be more profuse as the series progressed: for one, there were cutscene problems (*spoiler*) in the hideout cave that caused Mira to repeat what she said to my character upon initially entering the cave.
As for the music, I enjoyed the fact that there were some original compositons being played. However, I would have preferred something done with natural instruments as opposed to synthesizers, except, of course, for the nice warm pads that were profusing throughout the dreamy parts. Also, something a bit more exciting or enthusiastic would be nice for an upcoming module because the general temperment throughout was a little on the sad side. Which is good for the particularly sad bits in the module, however, when you are playing a module for hours at a time, music does tend to become tedious if not varried a bit - uplifting here, sad there, exciting here, etc - you get my drift.
The voice acting was a nice touch. (*Spoiler*) Whoever played the dwarf did a fine job of sounding crazed and weird. I could tell there were some awkward bits in reading the lines due to difficulties in translating them into English - there were pauses and things that made it seem like there was a bit more emphasis on getting the lines pronounced correctly as opposed to acted with feeling and intuitive verve. This was not so much the case with the dwarf, however, all of the voice parts suffered in this regard: the soft "G" sound (as in the word gesture) were pronounces with a hard "G" sound - which is a bit off from my perspective being a native English speaker. Otherwise, I have little cause to complain because the fact that someone took the time to voice act throughout the module is an asset in my opinion - as opposed to a hindrance. Voice acting adds something new, immersive, and distinct to a custom crafted module and I am gratified to play a game with it more than one that does not have this additional perk.
Thanks very much for your hard work! I will make sure to look out for the next in the series or any other module that you come up with. Especially nice work was done with the alinear questing in the beginning!
Thank you again, and try not to take my comments too personally, they were meant primarily for the purpose of constructive analysis of your hard work!
some of the translations didn't quite...translate properly, especially in the item descriptions. I'm keeping a log of them as I play, I will post some alternatives on your forums when I finish chapter 3. Also, a few items and placeables, and even some dialogue is still in German. My German is rusty, but this gives me a good excuse to get some practice in.
Other than that I am really enjoying this. Good voice acting, neat scripting. The Manor is alive. The first quests are fetch quests, but because of the level of interactivity in the manor, I wasn't put off by them. In fact, I enjoyed them quite a bit. The layout and design of the town is top notch, but I think it would really come alive with a few more wandering NPC's milling about. The town center is gorgeous. The dream sequences are bizarre, and the effective use of dream logic is something new in NWN2 modding. I love it. The custom music is wonderful, and the voice acting very good.
It may well be that you have forgotten to buy an empty bottle (the merchant in the temple sells this) an do it with the ingredients in the destillator.
