The Sinister Series Part II of III - Hail To The King 2.0
---
Disappointed with your performance on your first mission your boss sent you on an obviously simple assignment which gradually spiraled out of control (again)...
In a desperate attempt to conquer some of the market of the Elven Empire, a repressive monarchy with a pervasive military aspect, your company has opened a shop in one of the Empire's bigger cities where all of your competitors are owned by the state. In order to survive your company needs all information on the economic policies of the regime it can get.
What at first seems to be a simple search for information soon turns out to be a matter of life and death. You are caught in the middle of an insane struggle for power in a world full of intrigues and quickly end up as a direct enemy of the state. Will you be able to get your head out of the sling or will you only get deeper entangled in a net of inevitable chaos and bureaucratic bungling?
Hail to the King is an immersive single-player module with an emphasis on roleplaying. You will interact with a huge variety of colorful NPC characters, face a chimerical trial about your own execution (Connoisseurs of classical fiction will certainly notice a tinge of Kafka in it), lead an army into a battle of epic dimensions, encounter charismatic villains and rabid butterflies, discover a compelling storyline, and develop a relationship with you henchmen.
Length: approx. 6 hours
GAMEPLAY:
This mod is designed for a character around level 14. This will be the approximate level of your character if you've completed 'Dilating Dimensions', but you can also play it if you haven't played Part I without missing anything important. Basically it should be playable with all classes, though melee classes might have a slight advantage in battle.
The mod is intended for a male character, (Nothing will stop you from choosing a female one, although you will have to live with the fact that some dialogs will seem quite out of place if you decide to play it with a female protagonist.) Alignment doesn't matter and won't be modified. Conversations are more refined than in Part I and you will often have to talk to a NPC several times. The epic battle at the end between two armies might get a little choppy if you are playing on a slow machine.
CONVERSATIONS:
Expect lengthy conversations with all sorts of colorful characters. Conversations are an important emphasis of this module and I wanted to create them as realistic as possible. Each of the major characters has an unique personality that should be reflected in the conversations. Your companions will also be involved in many dialogs and say a few things, or let you know they want to talk. All conversations (more than 50) together have the length of a book, so this is probably not the mod for you if you prefer to skip dialogs or rush through them. Again, there are no skill checks in the conversations and your options don't depend on your character.
COMPANIONS:
Apart from two characters that should be familiar from Part I, you can recruit a third companion. All three can be fully controlled and play an important role for the development of the plot. You don't have to take all three of them into your party, but it's highly recommended. You will have an item in your inventory to resurrect them when they die. There's also a simple romance option for the two female companions.
ITEMS:
You will find a couple of stores available throughout the game. Most enemies drop their equipment, which can be sold for a good price. Some items from Part I won't function in Hail To The King, I removed the Gauntlet of Greater Doom since I found it too overpowered and ridiculous. There's also a place where you can upgrade weapons.
RESPAWNING:
There is a respawn point in each of the major cities. Respawning will result in a loss of XP and gold. You will always be able to respawn, except in the final battle.
Some parts of the story might seem a little gloomy, but this is still largely a humorous module following the style of my first mod.
WhiteSparrow, It seems you have already recruited all possible supporters. Samantha should take you to the final battle if you talk to her. If this doesn't work, it could be possible that you haven't completed all of the dialogs with the supporters. If you are quite sure that you have, then it's a bug. OfficerDon, after you've been in jail there a many possibilities what you can do. (like finding the rebels or saving Cordy's mum, the quests you mention can only be completed later) Or maybe you haven't figured out how to leave the city? If you check all of the doors, it should be quite easy... Have fun!

Help :) A simple woalkthrough might be ursful. _________________________ The Knight Capatin's Rogue: Book 1 A Male Knight Captain/Neeshka Romance/Adventure A NWN2 OC Fiction

Gotten myself a bit stuck. I'm at the bit to gather supporters for the last battle but I've no idea who I'm still missing. So far I've gotten Arda, Godon's grandad, the rebels and the dwarves but apparantly I still don't have enough. Who have I missed? Oh, and don't know if this is intended or not but Cordelia seems to be locked at lv14 and can't gain XP like Samantha and Bill (and doesn't seem to have any of the Ranger feats).

walkercubed, I have no idea what could be wrong. The module doesn't use hakpacks or any fancy stuff, there's nothing that could even remotely cause such issues. Maybe it helps if you open the mod in the toolset and rebake all areas?

What am I doing wrong? I get nothing but stary foregrounds and backgrounds instead of terrains.

I fixed the transition bug described in one of the comments and wanted to upload the rar-files again, but for some reason the download link to part2 was still referencing the old version and uploading the file again didn't help much... After some tinkering with the compression options of 7zip I can offer you a single file now :)

Hi, All, What's up? Is there just one file to download now? Cheers, Dave

Hi w3, The size given is the size of the FOLDER containing the extracted mod file, bith 221.6 Meg and the actual # of bytes. I was briefly confused by that, too. I have not installed it yet (still playing other mods) but i would assume it should go OK. Cheers, Dave

I'm afraid that the second file does not auto extract. I get a file after exptracting part 1 that is 226,961 KB. If the second file is extracting I don't see it. If (just for fun) i extract part 2 it replaces part 1 file and the size is the same, so maybe it is extracting it, but usually I notice Winrar shifting to the second file.
