Installation instructions: Place the Thesk_Aim_1_02.mod file in your Neverwinter Nights module folder (default is C:\Users\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\modules)
Ambushed by bandits while on your way South and escaping with only your life! You must now find money and equipment to survive.
'Thesk - Adventures in Mosshold' is a single player module for Neverwinter Nights 2. The Mask of the Betrayer and SoZ expansions are required to play this module.
This module is designed for a level 1 character of any class/race. companions are provided, but you must look for them!
The module should take about 2-4 hours to play. You should expect to achieve level 5 by the end of the game.
'Thesk-AiM' focuses on action, adventure and GAMEPLAY STRATEGY, the role playing as with most of these games is left up to you how much or little you wish to do it,
but combat will be challenging, especially for spellcasters and ranged classes.
The second part of this series can be found here: Link
Mod Builders: Feel free to use anything out of the mod you need, but give credit where applicable - thanks.
DEATH: There is no permanent death (unless both you and your companions die) then it's reload time! So SAVE OFTEN! Make sure you only use a level 1 character to prevent the game becoming too easy!
COMPANIONS: There are companions to help you. You meet your first companion in the very first area,
listen to them through out the game, as this companion acts like a DM, giving subtle hints as to where to go or what to do next!
Before leaving the village for the first time, speak to everyone who has a 'proper name' to receive directions around the village and enable map notes, also to receive quests.
WALKTHROUGH: There is a basic walkthrough provided in the .zip file. It does however contain spoilers! So check your Journal first then only use the walkthrough if you're really stuck.

I was wondering if you had plans to eventually combine the "Thesk" modules into a campaign? Again, nice job and I look forward to seeing more of your work. _________________________ Help is good when asked for, Better when needed. Gaming Parents Studios

Unfortunately I don't drink wine and cheese is over rated.

maglalosus... want some cheese with your whine? It IS your first module, right? So a score of 7 is not too bad, plently of room for improvement. I mean, look at it objectively... and compare it with some of the better modules here. I know module building is hard... and I suck at it, granted. I'm a player here, not a builder. I've been here for 5 to 6 years, playing and commenting on more than a hundred nwn and nwn2 modules. My constructive criticism is what I do here. I've laid out praise for dozens of modules, voted, encouraged a lot of people to keep improving their creations. Maybe you weren't here when the NWN2 voting standards were introduced. Voting in NWN was grossly inflated. Everyone had 9,5 or 10. Some inflation was inevitable, but look carefully at the chart. *7* is very good, deserves a look. Not quite hall of fame yet, in my mind. But it's just my opinion, you can take it or leave it. But I don't think you should put off the people who actually come here and give feedback on your work. That's part of why you do upload it, right? BTW, I've started your second module, and it is much better than this one. Not sure if I'll bother casting my vote, though.

Interesting little Mod as others have said straightforward.

An uncomplicated, straightforward, short adventure that does exactly what it promises. Nothing much to add to what others have already said. The area designs are very good indeed; the companions are an interesting group and are all useful in the adventure; only drawback is that the dialogue is a bit lacking. I think that a few hours' work on the dialogue would really pay off here and make the overall experience even better. Well worth a look, and I'll certainly be keeping an look out for anything else from this author.

Thanks for your comments, please bare in mind this is my first Mod - It is interesting how most of the lower votes are from people who have never submitted anything on this website. Perhaps creating your own Mods will give you an insight into how much work goes into them. A couple of people have complained about roleplaying and the size of the Mod - It does say in the description that the Scope is Small and Roleplaying is Light.

I have enjoyed your mod after a long time away from NWN2... It was a nice, solid little thing (no bugs, plenty of action). Loot is balanced... but there's definitely something missing. First of all, there is no roleplaying and the mod is very linear. Combat is okay, but predictable and not very challenging (no tactics required with a full party). Story is paper thin, and the interaction with the three companions is not developped at all, expect for a little backstory. The whole thing is very bland, I'm afraid. I mean, any of those 'cons' aren't much of a problem, separately, but taken together... This module is still 'very good' - competent - for what it does, but don't expect anything special here.
10 - A Masterpiece, Genuinely Groundbreaking 9 - Outstanding, a Must Have 8 - Excellent, Recommended to Anyone 7 - Very Good, Deserves a Look 6 - Good, Qualified Recommendation 5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable 4 - Some Merit, Requires Improvements 3 - Poor Execution, Potential Unrealized 2 - Very Little Appeal 1 - Not Recommended to Anyone
