You are a prisoner in the dungeon of the King of Death. You committed no crime and the arrest was sudden and merciless. The King is mad, and you feel that danger is drawing near, for you must somehow escape the dungeon and the castle before you find your death there.
v1.1: Some small fixes and tweaks.
v1.2: Re-did much of the main dialogue. Spell Guards now cast spells.
Very Fun :) Sadly it ended just as I was begining to Enjoy the plot but over all very well made and Invintive :)

A very short module, but well done. Hack 'n slash, with a little roleplay. Atmosphere was fine, it was quite linear but still nice. I don't know what else to add.

My vote: 5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable. I like the basic concept, which is that you've been imprisoned for a crime that you didn't commit and have to escape. There are also some efforts at the beginnings of a story here, and some basic roleplaying. For example, it seems as though one aspect of a conversation varies depending on your character's class. I also was pleased to see that a companion is available and functional -- this is the first community module I've played that uses one. But I think this mod could be improved greatly with some adjustments. For example, the spawning design seemed a bit off. Spawn triggers were placed just past the entrance of many rooms. While functionally this works fine, the effect was that guards appeared out of thin air, which just seemed weird--not to mention was frustrating at times, because I couldn't tell where the guards were until after I entered the room. Area design might also be improved a bit. Interior areas are nicely decorated, but the outdoor areas were completely flat--and noticeably so. Granted, it's a city, but few cities have perfectly flat ground. Adding more variety to the profile -- even a small channel in the center of the street--might spice the place up quite a bit. Also, the doors in the city do not connect to anything (I'd recommend plot locking them instead with some pop-up text explaining there's nothing of interest inside), and there even appeared to be a backwards door in one of the dungeons. Still, it's a promising first effort, and I thank you for sharing it. -B _________________________ My NWN Blog FRW Character Creator

Decent for a quick hak n slash. Was surprised couldn't loot some basic armor off the guard you kill.Don't remember any particular bug issues.

Good work, I voted 6 as I find "Good, Qualified Recommendation" a fair desription of your module. Pros: 1. The Environments where overall very good and you especially did a good job with the placeables, although you missed some lightsources for your lights, but that's not a big issue. 2. The Battles were challenging enough to keep the module going, well balanced. Cons. 1. Few conversation options, for example the player is forced into fighting the first guard (or did I fail to notice the other option?) 2. Linear, same enemies, no new things happening, nothing which really cathes the player's attention (although it's hard to find place for such things in such a short module). I only had one issue, after having died immediately after attacking the first guard I tried running away searching for a other way of killing him. So I see a door, run to it, and what happens? The conversation with the prisoner begins and soon after that, I'm dead again. Now the guard run over to attack the Bevil look-alike and bam he's dead. To sum this up I would like to wish you good luck on whatever you're working on now, and congratulate you on the good work you have done on this module and the results of it.

The thing I mostly like of this module is his potential. I specially like the relationship between the two characters, with dialogues during the game. On the other hand, the story is much too linear, exploration is poor and the guards are really powerful at this state of the game. And my paladin/warrior wouldn't want to kill the king and begging a devil... In conclusion, I like the spirit of the module but not his structure. Anyway, it's worth a play! _________________________ Postume, non bene olet qui semper bene olet
