Description
[Updated!]
From Within is an upcoming series of modules for NWN2.
This Prologue introduces some of the characters and of course the story itself, a lot of things which may or may not happen in the series depend on your actions here.
This module is for any characters, and you should create a new character for this module, as variables from your old character might interfere somehow.
I'm not going to tell you anything about the plot itself, and please don't spoil what happens in the module or what you may find when looking at it in the toolset.
I've tested it multiple times with different characters and there are some issues, but please be patient and if you feel a door should be open/unlocked, look around in the room, and then go back to the door again and see if the trigger triggers this time. I don't know why but sometimes triggers don't launch properly.
There will be no fighting in this module (well, almost none), the fighting will begin in the next module.
The Next Part is on its way, but I don't think my previous goal for release will be kept as I've decided to merge two modules for the next chapter.
Update! I hope most bugs and other annoying features have been removed now. Here's a list of some changes:
*The conversation with Captain Mouray no longer loops.
*Captain Mouray is now removed from the first floor as intended.
*Cameras, spelling and timings have been altered a bit, not perfect but at least better.
*I've added a new NPC. Many have pointed out the lack of personnel in the Castle, although it is in the middle of the night I've added a librarian who wanders around, looking for a book...
*Certain parts of the conversation with the tapestry no longer causes the game to crash, added a (oh so) neat conversation instead.
*The Queen is no longer a Queen, this was a dumb mistake and thanks to Tapio, it has been changed. She is now The Lady of Neverwinter, (the late) Lord Nasher's only child.
*Kinir now reacts if the player is a Drow.
*[IMPORTANT]The Exporting in the end has been fixed, this means all of you who has played the module before the update will have to play it again if the next part is to work properly for you. I'm sorry about this but there's nothing I can do but say:
"Enjoy another Run!" :-P
[Update for the Update...]
* Mouray's conversation in the armoury doesn't malfunction when selecting a specific node.
* Some grammar, spelling and camera angles fixed.
* The last area, Arbordale, has been given appropriate lightning (always night, lowered moon light intensity)
* Major grammar and typo fixes.
* The reported crash-to-desktop bugs have been removed.
Great module: area design, dialogues, shipping, resting-system, NPCs, quests, story?all excellent! I can?t wait for the continuation!

A very intriguing start so far. The charaters are interesting, expecially Kinir, and the plot looks promising. I didn't rate it very high because it is just an introduction, but I look forward to the other modules. My only perplexity is about the end, that seems somewhat awkward in comparison to the previous feeling of the game. Anyway thanks for sharing your work with us!

"5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable" Plus 0.75 for showing a lot of promise in the plot. There's basically nothing to do apart from getting railroaded into collecting some free gear. I expect that when the next parts come out my vote will increase substantially, but for now this is just an intro.

Good start so far, I liked how you tried to make the module more driven towards dialog and roleplay. Here are a few of my comments: Pros: Liked the scripted beggining, caught my attention and kept me playing through. I like the level design, the areas didn't seem empty, but actually lived in and alive. Cons: The scripting is buggy and doesn't always work. I found myself doing the first part a couple times before giving up. The dialog is ok, but there are gramatical errors, and it's actually a little boring in places. Storyline doesn't always unravel in the most pleasing ways. It's good overall for what it is, but it needs more work. 4 - Some Merit, Requires Improvements

Thanks for letting us all know how your project is coming along. I know how hard it can be to work on these kinds of projects. If you're having trouble with some part, or another, of your project you might list the kinds of help you could use that way people would be more likely to try and help if they knew that their skills would be useful to you. Good luck and take what time you need.

I'm working on it, it'll take a while though, 'cause I really don't want to rush it. I've done about a 1/3 of it by now, but the last parts usually take much longer than one would assume (there's always some odd problems) so I'd expect it to take a month or two, since I don't have much time to work with it in the first place. If you want to know anything, or even help, feel free to email me at frepal094gmail.com.

It was very short, and there were a few to few conversation options for my taste. But other tha that it was pretty good.
