ATTENTION: Contenu Adulte.
*NOUVEAU* Mise à jour 1.04 (1 Nov 2011)
* Les compagnons peuvent être multi classés.
* L'alignement du ccompagnon(compagne) d'équipage est rendomisé.
* Traduction anglaise revue par ralebeau (Un grand merci à lui)
* Quelgues bug mineurs corrigés.
* Le dossier campagne est maintenant compatible pour les 3 parties. Il est le même pour chacune des trois parties.

WARNING : Adult Content. Patch level 1.23.
16 Cygni first part is a story driven single player campaign, bilingual French/English, a blend of Sci Fi and heroic fantasy, with a lot of novelties. It has been designed with MotB and SoZ installed. It might be playable without the expansions. However that has not been tested yet.
Dynamic choice of companions with a personality, tens of NPC to interact with, many unknown places to visit.
To learn more, please read the presentation and the installation procedure (cy_presentation.zip).
*NEW* Journal's improved English translation by She-Wolf (Dec 4, 2011)

To totally benefit from the new version, please reinstall the campagne folder et the modules archives of each 3 Parts.
Update 1.01 (Sept 12th, 2010)
* Fixed the bug in the Ondolisse Morne which prevented a convo to fire, had the player read the riddle before using the control box.
* Fixed blueprints : it is now possible to choose a gray orc medic as your teammate.
* Reduced likelihood of convo not firing, safeties added (finding of a clue in Canas Eryn, painting in Tinwerontar, examination at the Narag-zaram...)
* Quest log now includes 16 Cygni 2 quests.
* Quest log more clearly states the end of the Part 1.
* Gaining influence with a neutral teammate made less difficult. Activated from your current position.
* Some typos corrections.
* The special file to start the campaign without MoTB is no more needed. However it is very unlikely that the campaign could be played without MoTB. Without SoZ, I don't know.

Once done, you shoud get a new folder 16_Cygni containing the campaign files.
Do NOT uncompress it under Program Files. Journal entries shoud appear now. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
A human monk, I'm quite puzzled... Is the quest "Smuggling" set to 'Check the storage room'?
In fact talking to the robot about the lighting just set a flag, which is tested in Khalmin's convo in association with the smuggling quest status. In addition, once the flag is set, the lighting topic is correctly removed from the robot's conversation. So no consequence.
Anuway the console command unlocks the door. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
Thanks for the quick reply, Claudius33 (1 day is fast!). I'm actually playing a human monk, not a dwarf. I'll try the workaround. Is there any consequence in not seeing the "Lighting" dialog option with the robot any more?
Hello Dantastic,
Sorry for a late answer, I wasn't available yesterday. The order of conversations has no importance.
I assume you are playing a dwarf. I can't remember if it has been reported and I have forgotten to fix it or if it has never been reported.
Bad copy paste from the French line to the English line. Just Khalmin's different lines with no particular consequences. In addition, if Uthmar is with you, he advises you to be cautious.
For now, in order to open the storage door, just use the console :
rs ga_lock("door_storage", 0)
Sorry for the inconvenience. Enjoy! _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
Hmm, I was hoping to like this, but I'm stuck already on my first quest. I asked Khalmin to let me into the storage room, which remains locked. An earlier message on this board referred to the same issue, and someone replied that you have to ask the robot about the lighting. I remember asking the robot about the lighting earlier, but when I go back now, that dialog option is missing. I'm not far in, so I can start over if necessary, but is there some other solution that I just missed? If the order of conversations can screw up quests this easily, I'm pretty discouraged from investing any further in this campaign, which is too bad. I really enjoyed Sarmates and was highly anticipating what this module might offer.
Thanks for your kind appreciation and your vote, FrozenCanadian. Enjoy Sarmates! _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Very very well done, I enjoyed playing 16 Cygni so much that I made an account just to vote and say Merci Beaucoup. Playing Sarmates now, keep up the good work can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Thanks for your kind appreciation and your vote grassBlade.
Thanks for the equation translation. I trust you as I can't really judge if it keeps the ambiguity of the French sentence.
Hopefully, there are more pins on Part II and III maps. About crafting, the idea was to let the player discover and experiment. Perhaps not such a great idea.
[SPOILER]
Books of recipes get available much later on, and likely much too late. They come much earlier in my last mod.

C'est tres bon!
My major problems with the module had to do with the transition areas and the crafting, both could have been more user-friendly (eg.: marking the former in the maps; recording the latter in the journal). Regarding the equation translation:
"Adding two times...and three times...gives you 1/3 more. But, .... results in a 1/3 less."

You are right about the paintings, the convo must be reworked. Even if most of the players choose #2 first. Thanks for reporting. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
Quite late here, I will check tomorrow about the paintings. About your second point, yes engine NWN2 related. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Found another:
when returning the painting, if you select #3 first, you are never given an opportunity to return Melde's painting. The dialogue falls through and executes the balloon "...exhibited both..." Both paintings were in the holding bag, but only the one was taken and 750 xp given.
Also, upon reloading during the archive heist, my companion (rogue) spawned next to the PC, who was waiting (don't move from this spot) at the foot of the stairs. I suspect, however, that that has more to do with NWN2 engine than your module.

just began your series; beautiful so far; however, I did find a bug:
I sold the statuette to Dolfert 3 times:
for the first two, my crew member was holding it, and I received money & 300 & 100 xp ... and didn't have the statuette removed.
For the final sale, I held the statuette, received the money, lost the statuette, but no xp.

I'm on chapter 3 and just realized that I never voted for parts 1 and 2! This is a great campaign and I am really enjoying it! I wasn't thrilled with the modern space stuff, but once we got to the medieval era and ancient Japan I was a very happy camper! Thanks for all the fun - a great story, interesting companions, just enough tough fights, and lots of fun!
Thank you for your appreciation and your vote, Austine.
And for your translation effort as well. You may also give a try to Sarmates! _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

In this I'm speaking for all three parts when I say this is an excellent module. Interesting story and well put together. Great incorporation of futuristic fiction and medieval times. I would definitly reccomend but it is definitly adult for a reason. Perfectly deserves a ten. (Also as a side note what is below is this comment rewritten in French.
Well BlacknSilver, I hope that at least you have enjoyed it, your post is quite ... undecipherable about it :-)
About your dislikes :
language : ok I'm not an English native speaker. However, people have complained about grammar mistakes and sentence structure but never wrote it was undecipherable. Besides the translation has been improved by a native speaker. Looks that you finished the first part rather quickly, don't you? So you shouldn't have had that much troubles.
If you are thinking to the riddle in the mine, yes it's voluntary confusing, even if French. It's a riddle after all.
I don't know where your stop the 10%, but honestly is the rest of story that poor as compared to the intro? You are discovering a totally unknown world, aren't you?
Crafting : it is a mini game inside the game to discover the right combinations. So yes it calls a bit to the player's brain. I agree it could irritate some players though. In my next mod the list of recipes will come much earlier. (They are given much later in Part 3). Of course a player may use few recipes only. In a game which provide lots of weapons, crafting recipes, armors, do you use all during a play?
Original M..tail used alcohol and a piece of material ('tissu' in French), not necessarily a rag or a piece of cloth. If you or your teammate has enough Lore when it is evocated, it is clearly said.
Influence : like IRL, you have no direct clue. Pay attention to companions comments. IMO it prevent players from constantly reloading. Uh, I upsetted Neeskha, let's reload ... Some companions may give a hint if you've got enough influence, more visible rewards come later. Again less computer assisted (no 'evil' answer in red, 'good' answer in blue), so a matter of personal tastes.
Fights : did you enjoy them?
You aren't always obliged to kill all. Arrows and swords work too! About diversity, it isn't a Forgotten Realms setting, so foes are set accordingly. Anyway there are some diversities of foes and situations. By the way don't expect the full NWN2 bestiary implemented in my mods. Their worlds are consistent (well I hope so).
About one of the spoiler, nope it's not always true, a low charisma character might be spared. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
