The NWN2 Foliage Pack 1 has been consolidated into the NWN2 Foliage Pack 3 along with the NWN2 Foliage Pack 2. The models have been optimized or remade completely, making this version obsolete. The NWN2 Foliage Pack 3 is pending release this month! Thank you to all who downloaded and voted!
May I ask have you thought of adding your materials to the 3C Compilation Haks? I ask because we are using those and would rather like to see your work added. _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!
my apologies to all my users, I've been without a computer until now. Lightning decided to strike and it was a direct hit on my power line so it blew up my surge protector and jumped onto my computers. Good news is I had most of my work saved onto a portable drive, so not much was lost.
I'm planning on releasing both foliage packs with tint maps in the near future, so that should clear up the issue and offer everyone who requested more options and less hassle :)
Adding plcs wont get easier, but it is easy, really. Once you crossed that line to edit a 2da, it is very easy.
Any chance that fern.dds gets corrected?

Found a problem: Your fernc.dds file is overwriting the texture used by the toolset's Trees|Shrubs|FernC model. You might want to change the filename to something else so it doesn't clash.
Other than that, everything else (so far) works fine and looks great!

I'm ready to comment. Even though I always make crap with the Electron Toolset (I like Auroura better) this certainly has an interesting variety and must have taken a decent amount of time to do.
I would give it a 12.50, but then again it would be unfair for it goes above the maximum vote rating and the admin would get angry. So here is a....
*drum roll*
PERFECT TEN!!!
You deserve a 10 more than almost anyone else I've ever met on these forums, but there are at least 5 other people I think that about... maybe 3 actually... yah, 3... and no way does all the people deserve tens when I vote, but I'm overgenerous.
BUT YOU DESERVE A THOUSAND 10'S!!! _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

When I named the packs, my intention was for it to be my gift to the community, which is how I feel its appropriate. As for others stepping up to do this, noone has contacted me unfortuneately, but I have had plenty requests for content, so maybe someone will eventually like to contribute. As for the roses, I can make those for you if you will send me a pm on the nwn2 forums. Sadly, I'm not sure if we'll see any CEP for NWN2 like we did for NWN1 but time will tell and I will surely be a part of it if that takes place!

Had a look at the Exotics, and I know this will come in very handy in my mod... Though I may wait till integration of custom placeables becomes easier. Thanks for instructions by the way. I'd rather not have to edit 2da's and such though, if I can help it. Anyway, there's lots else I can do in my mod in the meantime :)
I`m actually building a greenhouse and garden, and was disappointed by the quantity of plants in the TS. I was until now making "exotic" plants by shrinking some trees way way down.
I haven't looked at the rest of the pack or pack 2, so don't know if they are there, but would love to see some rose bushes with different coloured flowers (reds, pinks, whites, yellows, peach) and some wall/trellis climbers (climbing roses, vines).
Some empty (tintable if possible) pots (with soil) would be a nice accessory to make it easy to create houseplants from some of the models.
A final little comment: It's probably just me, but I find calling this the *Community* Foliage Pack a bit pretentious since it is not (yet?) made up of the best various community members have put on offer, like the CEP is.
Any plans to make this a real CFP, when/if the community produces other quality foliage/nature/garden related materials?
Thank you very much for making this and sharing it with us. _________________________ E.C.Patterson Gaming Parents Studios
I was just curious if the custom placeables text file I uploaded was helpful to those of you that requested the info. I know that when I set out to make this pack, I wasn't even going to include any blueprints at all due to the steps involved in creating them. I didn't think it was fair to give 260 models and 55 textures to the community with no way to see what they looked like without making blueprints in the toolset themself. So I went ahead and made all those blueprints and the haks for you all to at least be able to see them in the toolset and pick only what you wanted to use. With that said, this game has a way to go before custom content is fully compatible, but I hope my little donation keeps interest and hopes high. Just remember, at some point we won't have to go thru that process with strref's anymore, and can use a nwn style of custom placeable.

I'm with Murin.
Instructions on how to "create your own blueprints using the original files located in the Foilage Source folder" would be welcome. I can't spend the time to figure it out.
eh? dunno what that was all about..Anyways, if anyone has run into any light related issues such as time of day shadows affecting the models please let me know.

This looks worth-while and I'll try to comment when I get it working. _________________________ @===============================================@

shhh..no-one heard that, lol. Ya I realized my typo but just left it to be, was hoping noone noticed. I did most of the work at 2 and 3am and by the time I had it all typed up and uploaded the typo stayed.
OK I've created my own blueprints now and it's working ! But you should put in your readme file some explanations about how creating blueprints from .mdb and .dds files. I didn't know how to do it and it took me some time to find these explanations.
Hmm, I actually created the blueprints for version 1.03.8 Hotfix ( Newest Patch ) I forgot to change the little patch version box sorry. The error you get, could be caused by not having the .HAKpack in both override folders. Toolset needs for it to be in Programfiles/atari/NWN2, The game itself needs the HAKpack to be in my documents/NWN2/HAK. But remember, I only create the blueprints and HAK to be looked at into the toolset. Use the Source folder to make your own blueprints.
Oh i've just seen that it was for patch 1.00
But do hak have to be updated for each NWN2 updates ? I thought not...
If yes could you make a 1.03 version ?
The problem is that my module is not loading anymore with that hak ! I put the hak "flowers.hak" in the NWN2 hak directory, added it in the module properties, imported the flowers.erf and put some blueprints on my mod. And now when I try to launch the mod it stops at the beginning : "Uncompressing module". Why ? Do you have any explanation ? I tried with an empty mod and it does the same thing...
I have NWN2 1.03 french version... Thanks for answers.
The pack is standalone, it has no ties to the toolset or any other program. It installs into its own directory that you specify, and dumps the 2 included folders into those directories. Haks can be moved to the NWN2 HAK folder, ERF (Blueprints) can be imported directly into the NWN2 toolset. The source folder is for you, the end user, to create your own blueprints from those files, so you don't have to have all the placeables when you only want to use 1 or 2. I can't explain it any simpler sorry.
