*** Update 10Nov07 ***
I didn't mean to include the refute.FAC file with this last update (thanks Chris). I apologize for the oversight. Be sure to remove it from your override directory after unzipping the file. I'll try and put up a fixed package as soon as I can.

*** Update 06Nov07 ***
Had to replace the .erf with an actual zip file. I've added so many monsters that it was actually crashing the toolset. I've also rearranged the list a bit. It is still by type (aberration, outsider, etc) but I've also included the CR so that people making a low level adventure don't really need to dig through all the super powerful creatures just to get something useable.
This file needs to be unzipped into your
C:\Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\Override
directory. They will be listed in the toolset under Wild Bill.
I haven't had a chance to double check all these creatures in modules but lessons from the .erf's have been applied here. Please inform me here if you find something wrong. I'll update the pack as soon as possible
More to come soon.
*** Update 27Jan07 ***
New Monster Manual 2 .erf that has rebuilt the creatures with more than 20 levels and the constructs that were crashing the game.
*** Update 24Jan07 ***
Monster Manual II creatures have been created. They exist within their own .erf so it is still necessary to download MM1.
For the elemental wierds it is necessary to have either bluekobold or zylch000 nudehak.
***Monster Manual I Information ***
This is my best interpretation of all the Monster Manual One creatures that had a model similar to those found in the toolset.
No new textures to minimize module size. It's all scaling, tinting, FX, and the creation of special creature items to generate all the necessary qualities.
Hopefully there is enough interest that I can go through the other Monster Manuals and offer the same thing.
Ok probably a dumb question but you say to remove the refute.FAC but there only seems to be a repute.fac file. Should that one be removed?

I love you.
I'd rate even higher, except that not *everyone* would need to have it. :)

Great work! Having created at least a hundred custom NPCs of my own I appreciate how much effort this was.
BTW, I was able to turn your loose creatures and items into an ERF which my Toolset had no problem importing. Used "erfeditor.exe" found somewhere here on the vault.
Also, did you mean to include your "repute.FAC" file? Importing that could mess up some people's custom factions. May want to either remove it, or attach a disclaimer.
Sorry about the lack of updates, but it's been a long time since I've had everything put together right to allow for some spare time.
MotB has rekindled my creative fire and I plan on rebuilding and resuming my MM work. They finally let me install game at work under the condition that most of my time is spent in the toolset.
There have also been some "new model" opinions expressed. I do appreciate those (and will likely try my hand at them this go around). My original purpose, however, was to create something that required minimal download time from the player's point of view.
Perhaps this time I'll be able to use existing models to really CREATE some "new" monsters. I'm also working on some sexy textures for characters so my time may be split between this project and that one.
Regardless, stay tuned and hopefully I won't disappoint.

Considering that this first came up during the early (Pre model/anim converter) portion of the game's life, I think it's definitely worth at least a 8.5
but since this hasn't been updated with some new models and a hak file, I can't give this a ten. it is a must to module builders due to the variety it manages to add without new models or textures, but it is sort of lacking in that complete polish. my idea? there are tons of special visual effects in the properties menu, and use of these on certain creatures could really help the visual spice. A couple new animation sets added to the old chest and book models could really make animated objects nicely. a few new models for things like Kenkus.... etc.
Anyway, this is very good work for the initial limitations, but it needs updating to get past them. I seriously think that there needs to be another update, using the appearence FX, perhaps new models or anims.... etc.
but this is still very nice. _________________________ __________________________________________________

I can tell a lot of work went into this. Making creture blueprints is very time-consuming. This is a very good, large contribution. A few bugs and artistic design choices dropped my vote to just under a "Recommended to Anyone" But it is definitely Very Good & Deserves a Look. Thanks for the contribution! I hope we'l see more someday!

As pleased as I was at seeing these additional monster ready to be placed in the module, I was disappointed that I didn't see more than those in your screenshot. I think with your creative mind and ingenuity you could have made a couple more.
You have definitely given me some ideas of my own, and with some added hacks, I can see some great improvement on some of these creatures.
Thanks for the submission, but I think I may be going with my own interpretation of some of these creatures. I think everyone has their own perspective on what things should look like.

@Wild Bill
I just downloaded the MM1 erf file. Hopefully I'll have time this weekedn to look at it. I'll make a vote upon my return. I'm actually quite excited to see what you've done and how you did it. It takes some clever usage of the resources we have and some imagination to see things differently, so I'm already going to vote a solid 8.00, will likely rise afte a get a look-see.
@Everyone
If no one minds me tooting my own horn, I've started a thread at the bioware forums under the Toolset section specifically for creating custom creatures. Everyone's welcome to join in with request, suggestions, and their own creature recipies.
If you can't find something you want here (I'm guessing that's highly unlikely) you might find the startings, or even a complete recipie there.

Regarding erf files, in most cases (maybe all, I am rather new at this, too) you simply open your mod in the toolset, then FILE- IMPORT - and navigate to the folder you stored the erf file in.
Get Tani's NWN2Packer in order to view all of the contents within erfs, too. It helps me figure stuff out.
Anyway, yeah Wild Bill, thanks for giving us a bigger selection and the thought that went into the modification of these creatures. A great time saver!
like Har-Har's question: what do I do with the .erf file? Do I place it in a specific folder or what?
Thanks
Robert

What do i do with those .erf files?

Oh gods; import! I should really read over things more carefully... And apply more common sense... great stuff, and sorry for the idiotic question.

Crap crap crappity-crap. Sorry; it didn't seem to go through the first time.

So, I'm probably just an idiot but... how do I get these to work with the toolset? Just bunging them into override doesn't seem to do it.

Unfortunately, bad votes are just part of the voting system. I have someone voting low on my hack/slash (clearly marked) mod because he only likes roleplaying mods, etc.
I do believe the lowest and highest 10% of votes are not counted for the average so your random low-voter doesn't cause too much problem in the long-run, though open voting systems like will always be fundementally flawed... it's better than not having a voting system at all, and about the best you can do without a huge amount of maintenance.
Anyways, I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment -- great work thus far adding a little variety into a game that really needs it!

Sphax,
I think your vote is a little unfair - Wild Bill has put a lot of work into this to give a quick and dirty fix to the small number of monsters available at present. We would all like custom built monsters, but there is no sign yet of any custom builds - so full marks to WB for this - I look forward to the next installment. If you can do better Sphax then great - I would like a gelatinous cube please :)
This is awsome saved me alot of work. just had to do very minor tweeking to meet my needs. And Sphax so what still great work , maybe you should get the program and make all the creatures for us then.
