ENGLISH
This download includes 3 customizable rest systems (rest, pray and study) which work by use/activation event of objects (placeables and even inventory portable items!) and cutscene/animations.
I tryied to give them (and to users) a big roleplay potential, but with big concrete functionalities. I think there is a big adaptability level! (I hope I don't mistake!)
Systems are customized by local variables use: there are about a dozen of module variables, an area variable and various PLC/items variables for each system!
The whole system (all 3 systems) may work with or without NWN2 standard rest system!
All necessary informations are stored in 4 long tutorials (1 per each system and 1 even for sample module!).
You'll find instructions about placing and creating PLC, and create and using items. I tryied to collect how many informations every type of users may need, too (ex: local variables to be stored into a database for PW administrators).
You'll need no hak pack by default: everything works well with NWN2 standard supply!
But more and more informations are stored into 4 long tutorials and some .txt files!
Just download it, give a fast look to tutorials and use sample mod to give yourself an idea of systems potential.
But pay attention, if you'll decide to use those systems, you'll need to read really very much!
[There is an optimal sequence to read tutorials: first Rest, then Pray, ending with Study.]
I splitted italian and english files, except than sample module related files which are mixed.
For each .rar file you'll find a Readme (or Leggimi) and at last a tutorial.
The .erf file it's the same (bilingual) for both language distinct downloads.
PS: Tutorial files are in pdf format. You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 to read them: Link PS: Sorry for my bad English... Im trying to do the best I can. :)
Here some main updates features:
v1.01/b
- Fixed issue with portable items and possible unusual characters in players' accounts' names. (rest & pray)
- Now activating an usable PLC, PC's action's queue will be cleared, to allow a correct play animation. (rest, pray & study)
- Now you can activate a further option that writes PC's name after her spawned PLC's name. (rest & pray)
- Thanks to ladyelvenstar, 1.01b contains (almost) rewrited English tutorials. ;)
v1.02

- In Sample Module: you'll find new objects to test new 1.05 features.
- In Sample Module: innkeeper dialogue: now you'll find explicit hints to understand what variable he is talking about, and variable's value before and after.
- In Sample Module: innkeeper dialogue: now you'll be able to hurt your PC physically and/or to inflict negative effects.
- Files: you'll find a new tutorial dedicated to "Environmental Discomfort System".
You can know much more update features and details downloading the new history file separately!

ITALIANO
Troverai moltissime altre informazioni in 4 lunghi tutorial e qualche file .txt!

Brilliant! Thanks! I'll do that when I get home. :) _________________________ The NW2 toolset is a lot like crack: You know you shouldn't, and that you'll just hate yourself after, but there is something about clicking that button you just can't resist.

Just open "pat_bed_rest" script and do that: put the following line somewhere through lines 67 and 70: int iNoTimeBed = GetLocalInt(oBed, "iNoTimeBed"); now go to line 103 (or 104, after adding the new line) and modify where is writed: sCanRest == "1" just write, instead: (sCanRest == "1" || iNoTimeBed) Then go to each inn's bed and create a new local variabile called "iNoTimeBed" and set it to 1 (or different than zero). After that, every placeable with "iNoTimeBed" setted differently than 0 should allow PCs to rest everytime. Note: I didn't tested that!!! But I think it will work. ;) You can do "similar" modifies to study and pray scripts, obviously you have to change "oBed" parameter! _________________________ by Patcha -> my vaultages - Featured Artwork: - Shadow Reaver NWN1 Scripts: - Check Skip Damage Protections v.1.01 - pat_CusHenchUp (Custom Henchmen Level Up) - Working Sundial (Meridiana Funzionante) v.2 NWN2 English Modules: - Grimm's PatchWorld NWN2 Prefabs - Blueprints: - No Hak Monsters - v.0.1ac [23] - 23 New Creatures, with no Hak Pack need! I'm not a great scripter, but I know a bit. I may be able to modify the script you use a bit and make two of them, one for bedrolls (your script) and one for beds (where I just remove the rest timer check). Not sure if that would work, and I can't look at it now, but I might just do that. Thanks! _________________________ The NW2 toolset is a lot like crack: You know you shouldn't, and that you'll just hate yourself after, but there is something about clicking that button you just can't resist.

I could create a variable to set on placeable that, if 1, ignore "Time to" variabiles and you can use it always... Meanwhile, you could try to do it by yourself, or to put a script on opening door, or a trigger on room's floor that reset variables on the PC that stores last rest date... so them will be able to sleep. But if you reset date store variables, this will let them also enter room and then exit to sleep with bedrolls elsewhere (if them notice how does it works). _________________________ by Patcha -> my vaultages - Featured Artwork: - Shadow Reaver NWN1 Scripts: - Check Skip Damage Protections v.1.01 - pat_CusHenchUp (Custom Henchmen Level Up) - Working Sundial (Meridiana Funzionante) v.2 NWN2 English Modules: - Grimm's PatchWorld NWN2 Prefabs - Blueprints: - No Hak Monsters - v.0.1ac [23] - 23 New Creatures, with no Hak Pack need! Heh, the reason I want inns to ignore rest times is RP based, too. Our server charges for a key to the inn room because I think it is silly for them to be free. We could have just made the beds charge, but I like it better that you have to pay for the room, not just the bed. Anyway, I would like the beds to work at any time so that if they do buy a key before their rest timer is up, it is not just throwing their gold away. Besides, it is much easier to take a nap in a nice, cozy bed then a bedroll on the hard ground so, realisticly, you may not need to be as tired to sleep in a bed as with a bedroll. ;) _________________________ The NW2 toolset is a lot like crack: You know you shouldn't, and that you'll just hate yourself after, but there is something about clicking that button you just can't resist.

Uhm... the "wait to rest" was intended more as a "roleplay" realistic inability to sleep if you aren't enough tired (so some time need to pass from last rest)... not only as a sort of "malus"... That's for that motivation if inn and bedroll are treated in the same way... However I'll think about letting to treat item use differently than placeables as with "time to ****". _________________________ by Patcha -> my vaultages - Featured Artwork: - Shadow Reaver NWN1 Scripts: - Check Skip Damage Protections v.1.01 - pat_CusHenchUp (Custom Henchmen Level Up) - Working Sundial (Meridiana Funzionante) v.2 NWN2 English Modules: - Grimm's PatchWorld NWN2 Prefabs - Blueprints: - No Hak Monsters - v.0.1ac [23] - 23 New Creatures, with no Hak Pack need! Yeah, but that will make it so you can rest any time with bedrolls, too. Won't it? Ideally, I would like inns to be "free zones" with no time restriction, and anything outside them you have your normal wait. So, it should ignore your last rest in an inn, but still reset the timer to your next rest. _________________________ The NW2 toolset is a lot like crack: You know you shouldn't, and that you'll just hate yourself after, but there is something about clicking that button you just can't resist.

Thanks fot the vote... but the feature you want is activable simply by setting to 0 (or by not setting) "Time to next ****" varibles [i***sNext****]. :) _________________________ by Patcha -> my vaultages - Featured Artwork: - Shadow Reaver NWN1 Scripts: - Check Skip Damage Protections v.1.01 - pat_CusHenchUp (Custom Henchmen Level Up) - Working Sundial (Meridiana Funzionante) v.2 NWN2 English Modules: - Grimm's PatchWorld NWN2 Prefabs - Blueprints: - No Hak Monsters - v.0.1ac [23] - 23 New Creatures, with no Hak Pack need! I have added this to my PW and we have tested it enough I feel I can now vote. I really like it, and players have made many positive comments aobut it. The only reason it got a 9.75 rather then a 10 is it is missing the feature to make beds/inns usable at any time (ignoring the rest timer), which is something I would like to see. Even without that, though, it is an awesome system. Thanks! _________________________ The NW2 toolset is a lot like crack: You know you shouldn't, and that you'll just hate yourself after, but there is something about clicking that button you just can't resist.
