This is an interim release that fixes a couple of bugs and comes with a new tutorial. The next version should be a significant upgrade as the scripts original authors have picked up the torch again and are busy adding all the stuff I left out inorder to get it done quickly...
A great tool thankyou :). I sleep better at night knowing this exporter exists

Following the fat man tutorial some of the mists parted and I have been getting to grips with Blender via this tool. I've figured out how to do the body armatures, but heads are still a mystery.

As far as i got it is a really great tool! However! Also can't export, as I also get python error! Any help? I definately will give this a 10+ when I am able to export. Sure maybe it is not the exporter's fault but has something to do with my system setup! Please give me a hint if you had one. morez

Great job jester, keep up the good work and make sure you finish this. I always like to see support for freeware applications, especially very good ones. _________________________ Time is vital so manage it well.

Like a few of the other posters, I can't export. When I try, I get "python script error: check console". The console last lines says: Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 227, in File "", line 189, in main File "myDocs\etc ....\blender-2.46-windows\.blender\scripts\nwn2mdb.py". line990 in setBlenderData self.meshData = Blender.Mesh.Get(self.name) NameError: mesh "Temp" not found. I don't know what it means, and I'm just tinkering with Blender at the moment, after downloading your Barbarian. He's a little bit too lunkish at the moment for my purposes: a little less definition and a few more brain cells would be more what I need. Thanking you in anticipation of a reply. ps You're right about your instructions for loading MDBs' into Blender, they bare only a passing resemblance to what you actually have to do!

@Jester *a.k.a. Shanus* I looked at importing the HOOK points as Empty's with teh write name. I can get them into the scene ok. But for some reason their origin get reset to 0,0,0 though if an exception is through BEFORE the import process is finished the points are in the correct spot. Email me and we can look at it furthur.

@greencherry: you could also double-click on the blend file to start Blender.

I am not having much fun with this.At first it was my fault. I downloaded the wrong blender file, and was puzzled for a week as to why I could not get the blender files to my desk . Finally i retraced my steps and realized i needed the windows file. So i have the blender now. Now when i follow your instructions...I cannot get it to work. Probably confused. How do i delete the cube you said to delete? I put the py files where you said to, but may have gottemn confused on where to put the armature.I put it in a override.I made one for it. that did not work. So i put in in the override i use for single play. I followed the instructions from there..clicking file, import, nwn2mdb importer, clicked the optiions, and when i click ok all i get is this:a '.',a'..', .bfont.tff,and .blanguages. That is where i am stuck now.I think this could be a fun useful tool..but until i can make it work it is not there. Can you help me figure out how to get this going? What am i doing wrong here?
